This saw was a replacement for a 4-year old no-name Chinese saw which I worked to death. Cannot afford the big name brands & having had such good service from the old one, I went for another Oriental one. Edisons ad was detailed & informative - the price was amazingly low. Delivery was lightning fast - a day before estimated delivery date. The saw was easy to assemble & the on-line manual is brilliant. A vast improvement on earlier manuals for Chinese machinery. After fueling & oiling up it started on the third pull. Have already cut three wheelbarrow loads of firewood. Chain tensioning is easy & this unit is much lighter than the old one. Very pleased indeed with my choice.

This chainsaw has performed to my expectation. Like many 2-stroke motors it can be a little cantankerous to get started but generally runs quite well. The chain tension adjustment mechanism is awkward to access being in-line with the bar rather than from the side adjustment found on some other chainsaw models. Chain tension works loose, no matter how hard the bar adjustment is tightened. Becomes unreliable operating on less than 1/3 of a tank. The chain bar guide showed signs of significant wear after only 10-hours of operation, so not so good for heavy use or for accuracy. Leaks oil (But don't they all). Brake lock now failing after approx 100 hours use, randomly locks on. In summary, it would seem this chainsaw is like all the Chinese chainsaws, fairly competent ... MoreThis chainsaw has performed to my expectation. Waste of time purchasing!!! Tension on machine doesnt tighten up the chain , pull start broke after attempts to start it. The machine is hard to kick over all they wont to do is replace the parts? I brought a new machine, not a fix and go machine , machine only lasted 30 minutes after putting it together till pull start broke and chain problems and also hard to kick

For $119 was expecting a throw away item. Its actually very well put together and exceeded expectations. Quality is very good, starts and runs like a dream and cuts with ease. With regular maintenance and looking after should last a while. Very happily with purchase.
The colour of the orange isn't the same as the photos. When tightening the chain there's very little room, either chain is too tight or too loose. Bar cover was so fragile as I was putting it on the chain got caught and punctured through so now I don't have a cover. After using for 2 minutes the chain became loose. Positives: great price, very good power and cuts very nice. Good air filter. I would still recommend due to the price. I hope that this will have some longevity of use.
I purchased the saw about twelve months ago and have cut about five 6x4 trailer loads of redgum. Up to about fourteen inches in diameter and probably totaling close to a couple of ton. The saw has already more than paid for itself and is still going gangbusters. The question, is it of good quality, is a little strange, sure, its not stihl but at around a hundred bucks its excellent. Just a tip when starting it warm. Don't use the choke.
This chainsaw might be price competitive but it works like a charm. I'm not a professional tree feller but as a modern tool for an small farmer the saw is as good as any with a massive price advantage. servicing and repairs to ALL chainsaws is prohibitive and an advantage of this saw is that its can be replaced if the owner cannot fix it himself. had a high prices chain saw one and a minor repair job was costed at more than the saw cost to buy. With this saw you can get change by simply buying a new one.
I couldn't start the machine at all. It was so hard at the cold start. I hd returned it and asked for refund
Chain brake broken after only a few tanks. Chain tensioner is extremely difficult to use, even compared to the Baumr SX62. Very thirsty, uses heaps more fuel than the SX62. Smokes like a trooper - very toxic compared to Euro saws. Very cheap feel, cheap plastic, neon puke orange colour. Bar oil tank has metal defects in the molding. Spark plug cord snapped after only a few tanks. In summary - this is designed for people who use a chainsaw once a year, any more and it's just another piece of Chinese made pollution for Aussie landfills. On top of that... replacement parts and service are non existent - you'll be out of action for min. 1-2 weeks while Edisons technician's "inspect" it.
I'm a satisfied customer because- GOOD - it is relatively low cost when compared to many other brands on the market. My previous model purchased from a dealer cost 8 times the price and lasted less than 4 years - it comes with a limited warranty which is acceptable for the purchase price. - it works as good as the very expensive model that I used to have and had to replace after a relatively short life! BAD - I had to fix the pull start recoil spring after the second attempt to start. (But was given advice when required) - Also had to replace the spark plug with a better quality type to improve starting.
