My second favorite behind Squirt, but not by much. The Squirt seems to work better after 15 miles or so. If price is factored, I will take Muc Off. The dispenser on the Muc Off is much better than anything I had used. I will likely keep buying because of ease of use, nice scent, and terrific lube performance.

I bought a bottle of this lube last season and gave it a try. This was based on a pretty extensive YouTube test of several different lubes. It was quite a convincing piece of garage science. The muck off dry lube keeps the chain quiet and working decently well, but does not keep the metal pins from wearing away at the links (that's what chain "stretch" actually is). I've been running 12 speed Shimano drive chain for the past three seasons and usually get 1500-2000 km out of a chain on my full suspension MTB. Using only Muc Off dry chain lube this season I only got 950 km/4 months out of a 12 speed SLX chain. This took me by surprise when I measured chain wear for the first time and it was well beyond 0.5% wear and needed to be replaced.

Great lube for the AZ dry climate. Lots of dust, dirt and frequent sand pits out here so a lubricant that doesn't grab every dirt speck is best. Muc-Off makes lots of quality products so I gave this a try. I am pleasantly surprised at the performance.PROs: non-dirt collecting for dry area ridingCONs: Not as smooth of a feel in the drivetrain so I only use it in the AZ deserts and hills. A bit heavy for DH at the west coast ski slopes.

I was initially impressed by this product, as it kept my chain clean and relatively quiet. That being said, it is not a long-lasting or effective lubricant. I discovered this myself when I quickly needed to replace my chain and cassette, and my opinion was supported by online reviews which showed very poor chain wear results with this lubricant. Better to use pretty much anything else. It smells good though!
Oh the hate hahaI use this lube to supplement my hot wax treatments. Works fabulous and I've went from under 1000kms per chain to 3000 and up to 5000kms on a chain.No, adding any topical lube won't make your chain last forever, get informed. The lubrication needs to be IN the chain, not on the chain.
Smells banana but that's all positive about it. I am not sure if it is made for bike chains or bedroom. You need to relube your chain after every ride, even in a dry weather conditions. 70km into a ride and your chain starts squeaking even it was freshly lubed prior to the ride. In wet weather goes off your chain in 5km. Absolutely useless product. Keeps your drivetrain silent for 50km.
Had to write a review to warn of others. This dry lube is just not good. After cleaning the drive train and applying the lube to the chain etc i'd get maybe 100ish km out before a reapplication was needed. My drive train was always a bit on the noisy side compared to WD-40 dry lube. Shifting was also a bit noisy. Its a wax based formula .... maybe thats why?It does come off really easily during cleaning i will give them this point and it doesn't attract as much dirt/grime compared to some of the other brands (assuming you are wiping off the excess). But having to reapply before every ride its a pain in the behind. With other dry lubes i got 500-800 km before needing a cleanup and reapplication.
Used this product for years on my road bike. Never thought about it much, the drive train was relatively silent after lubing so nothing to complain about. But then I started seeing pretty extreme wear on the chain(s), measured using the Park Tool wear indicator. Still did not think much of it, it must have been my extreme power output :-). But after stumbling across the independent testing data from Zero Friction cycling, it became pretty obvious this is not the lube for me.
This stuff is great. Smells good when you put it on and is easy to put on my bike chain. I ride blue mountain bike trails that get really dusty in the summer. In the summer my riding time needs me to apply about once every 2 months. During the winter, I can go as long as once every three months. Dust doesn’t gum up or stick to the chain like the other wax type stuff. I usually completely clean my chain off the bike 2 times a year in a solvent like bath to really clean it out.
I tried this on my daily commuter under generally dry conditions. An application lasted about 200 km before the chain started squeaking, so I reapplied every 100 km. As others have noted, this dry lube is relatively thin, so it's important to reapply often, maybe twice at a time (let first application dry out first) to get more lube into the chain as the carrier solvent dries out. Clean the chain with a towel to remove any dirt particles before applying so the lube doesn't wash dirt into the chain and cause wear. Has a smell with notes of chocolate and fruity candy.
