I've been in contact with nandos who tell me because of the manufacturing process and having to have a longer shelf life for this product, that the outcome is spicier than the equivalent in their restaurants. This sauce claims to be extra mild, it's not! I like spicy food but I love the restaurant version and this is nothing like it. Not good when you are trying to recreate nandos at home because the nearest restaurant is nearly 2 hours drive away!I won't be buying this sauce again. I might try the lemon herb rub mix, if I can find out who stocks it!!
We got this for my 3 year old daughter thinking she may like it instead of our regular hot ones. She didn't, but I do. In fact I think I prefer it to the hotter ones I've been eating for years. Although it says it's very mild it does still have some chilli heat - but it also has flavour which tends to be lost with hotter versions. I'll buy this again. (I still think a lot of small children will find it too hot though)
This sauce is labelled as extra mild, and is supposed to be the lemon and herb sauce that they have in the restaurants. However it’s completely different. It’s actually hotter than the Medium sauce! Couldn’t eat it and had to throw out the chicken I’d made with it which was a waste.
