I loved this game the first time around on Xbox 360, so this was a must-buy. The graphics do look better of course but you may need to compare with the original to really see the big differences. The lighting especially is from the older era of racing games and overall looks darker than newer NFS or other games in the genre.Having all of the original DLC is a nice touch since I didn't have that the first time, but the most compelling factor for this game is going to be the nostalgia. It's nice to go back to a time when there wasn't a story or other frills, just 'ole cops and racers. I enjoyed this game more than some that came before it, and others that came after it, like Rivals, but that's subjective.

I have been a Need for Speed fan since the very beginning, and I am happy to report that this remastered version of Hot Pursuit for Xbox One is one of the best iterations of this long-running series of arcade racing games. The graphics are much improved over the Xbox 360 version, and the game plays effortlessly on the Xbox One X. I don't own the latest version of the console, but I'm satisfied with the game, nevertheless. The game itself features enough cars and tracks and races to keep you engrossed for months, and you can choose to play the role of the police if you wish. It adds an extra dimension to the game as it allows you to chase and take down lawless racers! In short, this version of Need for Speed is a must-have for arcade racing enthusiasts.

This game was really fun to play!! I would say that it is hard to control on an xbox. Its hard to turn with ought running into the wall or crashing. Besides that, great game! Highly recommend to any body who loves racing games.

My son really likes this game with its high speed action. The side you are on changes, making it more exciting! We do wish it had the ability for local multiplayer. I would have rated it a five if it had local multiplayer capability. Unfortunately, if you want to play this game with someone at your home, they would need another Xbox with online access and another copy of the game. Otherwise you can play multiplayer online.
Love the game. Always have, always will. It's great to see the graphics updated and still have the same playability of the old game. The only thing every missing from any racing game is split screen.
For 20- I picked this up for xp points then upon playing I remembered why I forgot it.Racing should be fun not stressful pr push as hard as you can till the end of the race n one blink you lose n have to try againCop mode is a blast n a nice escape. Upgrade to 1/x is nice but feels unnecessary. Wish I had passes on this one for the 2nd go around.
I played this on the Xbox 360 about 9 years ago, one of the best titles out back then because it was made by Criterion Studios that made Burnout. Need for Speed games now are not good, I was not a big fan of Need for Speed Heat so when this came out I picked it up.This has a fresh coat of paint on it and looks really good. What made me realize how great this game is, is how satisfying the gameplay is. Takedowns, equipment, turbo.. Also the police are fair and balanced. Just being a racer or a cop is so satisfying when you win and getting Gold medals are not hard but do take effort. Criterion did a great job with Need for Speed. I highly recommend getting this title. The only issue that I had was that I didn't realize that all the vehicles are old now lol, they go ... This game is so fun!!! That's the reason this is the ONLY Need For Speed game to EVER get a Remastered edition!! I played this game for 5+ years on PS3, so HAD to buy it for PS4 when it came out. Then I bought an XBox One version for my grandsons so we can all play online together...because this Remastered version has CROSSPLAY across PS4, XBox, Switch and PC!!! Do you like racing fast cars? Do you like dropping spike strips on your friends? How about using an EMP on a cop? It's a blast!!! Buy this game now!!
I love Need For Speed and hot pursuit was one of my favorite. If you're gonna do a remaster version atleast make it unique and breathtaking especially on a next gen console. Not much difference here from the original.
Im not sure if its me ,but having a real bad experance with Xbox controllers with my Xbox one S game console. I purchased two other Xbox controllers and im having the same issue. Its the double jump in all games. Im not sure if it's xbox software or its just junk period! I called Xbox support, and they said someone will return my call but i never received a call back from them. The performance of handling the xars is horrible. Im all over the street. I would skip this game on Xbox . But at the end of the day,its your decision. Good luck tho ! Lol ugh
