My wife and I love this sleeping pad so far! It is fairly nice and compact, and we have taken it on a number of camping trips ranging from the Rocky Mountains to Great Sand Dunes with good results. We did wind up putting a couple of foam pads under it for the Rocky Mountains since the night was going to get down into relatively cold temperatures (mid 30s, F). We did wind up getting a small hole in it (likely due to a cactus from Great Sand Dunes), and that was a bit of a pain to track down, but we were able to patch it and the pad is back to good as new now.The vortex air bag it comes with is great at filling it, and it normally only takes me 8 or 9 breathes to get it fully inflated. The top of the pad gives a bit of extra loft which helps keep your head up, and also makes it a little harder for a pillow to slide off (I haven't had to worry about strapping my pillow to the pad yet). It is nice that it is a doable pad for longer treks without having to strap multiple single-person pads together.

Returned a double sleeping pad my husband and I purchased a few years ago that wouldn’t stay inflated throughout the night. Got this as a replacement and OMG. Where has this been all of my life? Used it for the first time this past weekend for some fall camping and here’s what I can say!! Purchase this if you:1. Like staying warm when camping in cooler weather2. Like staying completely off the ground. Inflated it once - didn’t need to inflate it again the entire weekend.3. ARE A SIDE SLEEPER and thought you would never be able to comfortably sleep on a sleeping pad!!!!4. Dislike waking up to back pain and DO like having an amazing sleep.5. Need the room in your car for packing or if you’re backcountry camping. I picked this up prior to a 6 day trek through Glacier National Park. I had finally convinced my gf to try some back-country hiking and wanted an upgrade from my Therm-A-Rest single-person mattress. The material and craftsmanship of the pad is substantial. I was never concerned about failure or leakage and I can confidently say that any discomfort during the night was attributed to anything but the mattress. Additionally, with many larger air mattresses there is a tendency for deflation (particularly when temperature change is a factor) causing the occupant(s) to roll into the middle of the mattress which we didn't experience with this pad. On the other hand, this pad was nearly 4x the size and 8x the weight of my Therm-A-Rest! If you are really going for UL or are tight on space, this may not be the pad for you. Something else that may be noteworthy was the noise. Movement of almost any kind on this mattress results in a very audible rubbing noise, like 2 balloons being rubbed together. Whenever either of us would move during the night, the other would wake up from the noise. In fact, the noise was loud enough that one of the other campers in our group mentioned he had to wait for us to "stop wrestling" before he was able to go to sleep. There wasn't even any hanky-panky going on that night! On a later trip where we were camping close to the vehicle and weight wasn't an issue I brought a few blankets and quilts to throw on top and it really helped to muffle the sound, although not really an option if you are backpacking...
