Neostrata Enlighten 15% Vitamin C + PHA Serum

I received the Neostrata 15% Vitamin C + PHA Serum from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. The Neostrata 15% Vitamin C + PHA Serum brightens your skin along with getting rid of any dark spots, age spots or acne scars. I noticed a difference after my first use of this serum. The serum isn't watery like many serums, I found that it absorb's rather quickly in to your skin. I used this serum mostly at night and was able to apply moisturizer after using the serum. I fell in love with this serum and when this bottle runs out I will repurchase, as this has became a staple in my skin care routine. I highly recommend this serum.

I have a lot to say about this product but will try to keen it concise. I have used this for almost 3 weeks now. Before this, I was using the skinceuticals one. The Neostrata 15% Vitamin C + PHA serum, is a brightnening concentrate with 15% L ascorbic acid and 2% of PHA (exfoliator)for daily use. I have some sun spots on my cheeks, the pictures you see are bare skin, I am only wearing lipstick in these photos. You can see a difference in the brightness and the fading of my sun spot on my cheek. It’s not completely gone, but it’s much lighter than it was 3 weeks ago. Apart from this, I have seen a glow in my skin, an even ness. In my humble opinion, this product is a win for those with normal to dry skin types. I will certainly be purchasing this one when I run out.

I love a good vitamin C serum and was definitely prepared to love this but unfortunately it didn’t work well for me as directed on the box - I could not use it daily or even every other day, my skin became quite snake like and I began shedding all over the place. It was intense. Once a week is my limit. That’s how often I use chemical exfoliation and it works in that regard. If you’re looking to remove several layers of skin like someone trying to remove old varnish off the floors of a 200 year old Victorian home, this is your daily product! If not, go for once a week and you’ll love it! The snake like skin for 2 weeks is why I gave it 3 stars. I was not prepared for that.

I've tried many Vitamin C serums over my 54 years and have always been disappointed. Almost all had a very strong smell, were incredibly sticky feeling and made my makeup look horrible or made me break out. The last one I used was inexpensive and just ordinary ;) and didn't do a thing. This Serum from Neostrata has made a difference in just 9 days time. I can see a slight smoothihg of my texture already. The citrus smell is there but it's light and I can deal with it. My makeup goes on nicely and lasts all day. I don't have much discoloration so I can't say I've seen any improvements but that's not a major concern for me. One thing, you do not need an entire dropper full!! Do not waste the product! I like that the packaging goes with the whole vitamin c and citrus theme with the yellow color. It is a typical dropper style application. I also appreciate the fact this product was not too oily which I find to be the case with most serums and specially vitamin c serums. The PHA in the ingredients makes it gentler on the skin which can be good for more acne prone skin, but def consult with your doctor or dermatologist to find what suits your skin as not everyone’s skin is the same. The biggest issue with this is the price point, not everyone can afford a 55 dollar bottle of citrus oil…just my opinion!!! I know my video is not showing the product usage on my face but I was utilizing other products at the time but I just wanted to showcase the bottle size, the applicator/dropper and the consistency of the serum liquid and how on my hand you can see that it was not super oily at all. Anyway if you have the means to try it go ahead.

I really really like this product. I literally finished the bottle in less than a month! I used every single day since I received it. I did notice my face clearing up with the dark spots. I do wish the bottle was bigger with more product. I honestly, have no complaints about this serum. It smells good and its really hydrating. I went some days only using the serum on my face and my face did not feel dry or anything. It's one of those products I would buy and use. If you have tried other serums you should notice the difference in this Vitamin C over others with the first drop. The clarity of serum is very noticeable. Others are thin and in my opinion others add an unnecessary dye making their product amber in color. Neostrata is refined. I purchased this for the first time last year enjoyed the product and noticed results. However, I tried a cheaper Vit. C serum after the bottle ran out. When I finished with the competing product I knew I needed to come back to Neostrata. It is superior at brightening and makes my skin smooth. I use this daily. I apply to clean skin. I’m shocked and amazed by the improvement in my skin after three weeks of using this serum in the morning and before bed! For the past several years, I have been trying to improve the signs of sun damage and hyperpigmentation on my face and neck. I have used several medical-grade products - without any improvement. I nearly gave up trying to even my skin tone and reduce brown spots. Thankfully, I gave this product a try!
