We purchased this model a little over a year ago to replace our previous Nespresso milk frother that had lasted ~6 years. It worked well for about a year (conveniently when the warranty ran out) and has been on the fritz for the past few months. I tried all of the cleaning (though it still looks immaculate) and trouble shooting suggestions but it never worked consistently again. I just called customer service and while the woman was very nice and helpful, the outcome was basically that the machine was overheating and would not work. I was offered $45 off a replacement model but at this point I no longer trust the quality of this brand for milk frothers so I'm not willing to spend any more money to buy a new one. My guess is that they have decided to cut costs ... MoreWe purchased this model a little over a year ago to replace our previous Nespresso milk frother that had lasted ~6 years. My guess is that they have decided to cut costs internally and the product is no longer made with the same standards and care as our previous model. (I work in the consumer products industry, so I am well aware of what companies will do to keep profits high...) It's a shame. I really did love this product and brand, but I'm going to buy another brand to replace this one. And if/when our Nespresso coffee maker dies, I'm going to switch brands, too. My guess would be that there has been a decline in quality across all Nespresso products based on this experience. Bummer!

I loved my Aeroccino 4 for the first 30 days. The foam was beautiful and THICK and the milk was hot. Suddenly on the 31st day it failed to froth. It heated milk to only 100°F and on the froth setting I had warm milk with a few bubbles. After 40 minutes of troubleshooting on the phone with customer service I was told they were sending a new whisk. I am not convinced that the whisk is the problem. The whisk is a piece of plastic with a wire coil ring around the base. On very close inspection, my whisk looks fine. I will update my review if this works but I am very skeptical. I’m currently disappointed with my purchase.

This product needs to be permanently discontinued. I've got through two of these and both times the exact same thing happens. One button will stop working, so I'll use another button and eventually it will stop working. Now let's be clear about something: I clean the Aeroccino4 after EVERY. SINGLE. USE. Mine are never left dirty. So for those who tell you that they stop working before they aren't clean, well that simply isn't true. This product is entirely too expensive to not last longer than a year. Nespresso either needs to discontinue the product line or drastically reduce the price.

I spent more time troubleshooting it than should be necessary. The most common is moisture which is a bit confounding working around coffee. The second and final is it just stopped working before its financial life ended. In other words, it costs too much to break when it did. It just ceased working. Today I am tossing it. I wouldn’t buy another one at this price. If the price was about $60, I would. It does make great frothed cream. My favorite feature was cold foam for ice espresso.
Bought this recently when my older model aeroccino started acting up. This model is a definite improvement, for the most part, over my previous model. The lid covers the spout to help prevent milk/form oozing down the sides, the icons on the bottom make it easier to do cold froth. The settings allow for hot milk, a little foam and alot of foam. My only complaintis that the marked maximum lintes are still hard to see. The capacity also seems a little smaller.
Sadly this more expensive aeroccino4 quit working in 2 months. Sur le table has a new policy and wouldn’t take it back. 30 days only. Have been dealing with Nespresso directly. A hassle and time consuming. First, sent a new whip, which I had to pay for, I complained about shipping costs which they waived. Finally arrived. Unit still doesn’t work. Back online, trouble shooting, a lot of time, they will finally send me a new unit. Fingers crossed. Shamonia, very helpful and thorough in doing her work but it is very time consuming. I hope the new unit works. I had the older less expensive Aeroccino3 which worked for many years after the first one failed. It was returned and quickly replaced by Sur le table which they no longer do. Must have been a big hassle for ... MoreSadly this more expensive aeroccino4 quit working in 2 months. I received this machine in the mail two days ago and since then have spent more time on the phone with Nespresso troubleshooting it than I have enjoying it. No instructions came in the box which was annoying. Then, on first use, the oat milk I used bubbled over when I put it on the level that would produce the most froth. The second time I went to use it, the lights just blinked. I would choose an option, the machine would whir for a few seconds and then shut off - no foam or froth! The lights would blink again, not responding to my touch or it would whir and this shut off. This kept happening! I've yet to get the machine to froth oat milk or any other kind of non-dairy milk since the first use. For one of the most expensive frothers on the market, I would expect it ... MoreI received this machine in the mail two days ago and since then have spent more time on the phone with Nespresso troubleshooting it than I have enjoying it. As far as I know, the Aeroccino4 is better and more convenient than any other non-commercial option out there. That said, there is one important thing to know before owning one, which is the type and freshness of the milk DOES matter. Most milk has enough protein content to produce a robust emulsion, but milk substitutes like almond milk have less proteins and will create a less dense foam. But even with regular milk, over time, the proteins will start to break down in storage and will not be able to produce a foam nearly as well as fresh milk, if at all. I have found most milk to be 'foamable' for 7 days (give or take) after purchase. In this case, it is worth looking for the freshest milk at the store based on the expiration date. Knowing that will help avoid those issues that some people are running into. While I really love this product, I am only rating 4 stars because it is quite expensive for what it is. Since anyone can buy one of these, Nespresso should consider giving a discount on this product to people who already own a registered nespresso machine, since they are typically loyal customers spending lots of $ on espresso pods anyway. Mine was a gift, but I felt bad when I saw how much it was. Just sayin...
This machine stopped making froth for me for regular soy milk within 3 weeks. Now it only warms the milk. After a long frustrating call with customer care, they just told me that aerroccino makes froth *only* with regular milk (Atleast 2%). If that is the case, why not specify that explicitly on the product’s webpage, esp when charging close to $120 for this product. Why have froth recipes for soy milk with aeroccino on the website if it doesn’t work for soy milk? Also, same machine made a lot of froth for me for the same milk for 3 weeks straight, now when the frother stopped working, customer care blames it not having a regular milk! Customer care is not helpful at all either, doesn’t even bother to listen to what the issues are. My Aeroccino3 lasted for 10 years.I did not use it daily, but I used itoften. I can't complain. Thislatest model is fabulous, so Ihope it lasts many years, too!I love that except for the base,it is dishwasher safe. I lovethe 2 option for frothed milk, plus a simpler hot milk mode.I considered buying anotherbrand that was more budgetfriendly, but am glad I optedfor these better features.
