With lockdown I was missing my regular coffee fix and had been debating about purchasing a coffee machine. I previously had a tassimo years ago but never really liked it. I had debated about the CitiZ and a cheaper option in a Dolce Gusto. I opted for the Dolce Gusto and what a mistake that was, horrible coffee and a horrible machine, it ended up breaking after a month. So instead I decided to spend a bit more money and get the CitiZ and it is well worth the extra ££It looks great, doesn't take up too much space and the milk foamer is my favourite thing. It takes 2 min to set up and the instructions are really easy to follow. There are two options for a drink which is basically an espresso or a lungo. Had a previous ground coffee machine but it died and we moved to a smaller house and no room for such a machine. The memory of the taste of good coffee remained so eventually I looked at the capsule market to see if that would answer the call. Eventually chose the Magimix CitiZ & Milk to get the coffee and the heated/whisked milk.Very pleased with the purchase - appears to be a good, solid well designed machine. I did manage to break the whisker clip on the Aeroccino lid but got a new one quickly (it's a habit of mine to get a new machine then break something immediately!!) and set about gathering different capsules and syrups/sauces and am sorting a shortlist of favourite recipes. This coffee machine is really practical,Great quality and strong.What I like is that you don't need to wait to long for the machine to heat up and ready to make your coffee. At the same time you have the hot or cold options to make your smooth and foaming milk that you will add to your tasty coffee if desired.Little tips also : for fans of hot chocolate, add some chocolate powder to the milk and press to heat up your milk . Few seconds and here is your hot chocolate foamy and tasty ready to savour !!!I absolutely love and enjoy this coffee machine, so convenient and practical.The only negative thing I can say which is not a big deal is that you have to keep empty the used capsules part often in specially when the whole family is addicted to coffee!A part that ... I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy Nespresso coffee machine. I was tho about it for the past 6 months. I am a big coffee person and I was happy with my delonghi coffee maker. But I needed a bit of a change. I am so glad I bought this particular Nespresso coffee maker. Lots of coffee varieties. The milk frother is good. Makes my milk really nice. I get proper cappuccinos at home . Overall I would recommend buying it!
Pros: I like a mug of coffee and it is big enough to place a mug onto the lower stand. I can then use either 1 capsule or 2 capsules, depending on how I want it and the type of capsule I am using, to make my drink. The water tank holds a good amount of water and you can easily make more than 1 mug of coffee at a time.Cons: I would like the water to get a little hotter, as I love hot coffee that can stay hot for a while, rather than just hot coffee that has to be drunk quickly.
Pros: Looks nice, works well and makes lovely coffee with warmed, frothy milk. Chose this over the Vertuo as more pod choices (love the Starbucks ones) and available from more retailers. Very easy to use.Cons: Perhaps a removable rubber type lining to put under cup as my mugs tend to slide off with the vibration of the machine.
I bought this machine after using my sons Inissia machine which in my opinion is much less noisy. I cldnt get the Inissia with the frother so opted for the newer version which is this machine. I can’t get it to stop pouring the coffee to a shot size and the machine vibrates a lot which makes it quite noisy.I still use my ground coffee machine by De Longhi and find the coffees a much better quality using the bean to cup method. This little machine was bought mainly for decaf pods and to make iced coffee. It does the job but don’t think it’s great quality.
This was to replace the Nespresso we had for over four years. Used every day but after four years it started to leak. Looked at other models but still preferred this one due to its simplicity. Easy to use and easy to clean the milk frother. Also like that the a actual coffee maker and milk frother work from one electric plug.
I am so happy I went ahead and bought this machine. Although more expensive than the others and not on offer the look of the machine was definitely what I was after. It looks so nice on my kitchen side and the coffee is much better than the other coffee machines I have had in the past. It's easy to use and the built in frother means that I don't need to find another plug in my kitchen for it. There are so many varieties of coffee too choose from, you can have from their own brand or supermarket/coffee shop brands.A great purchase overall.
Pros: Easy to use straight out of the box.The Coffee variety is great and I'm enjoying going through the Sample box and testing them out. The automatic pod dispenser is a plus one flick and it's stored. The milk frother is so good perfect frothy milk and is ready when you want it. A plus point is it's so easy to clean it the milk does not stick to the bottom.Cons: I would have liked a short guide to making lattes and cappuccinos. But easily solved by going online.
