I purchased last Jan using it for 1 month for connecting my shelter It's about 100m2 house almost end to end. and I put it one second bed room. The wifi signal works everywhere now. This device setting up as XXXX_XXX_5g_2gEXT / XXXX_XXX_5g_5gEXT. Pros - Using as a AP this is a good one to use it. - Nice strength of wifi signal - Good price Cons - The body is too big for power outlet. I my case that can't plug in to the other empty side even it has 2 point power outlet. - Not that easy to set up at the first time. There were 2 options to connect to my wifi connection but second one wps method just worked. Hopefully it has direct wifi connection with mobile phone or whatever and just connect main wifi network. That will be great.

This is the best extender I've ever had! My issue is a lot easier then most folks. I have a one bedroom, 1,000sq ft apartment. My router is in the living room but my gaming system and TV is in the bedroom. There's a wall that separates the apartment and kills my smart TV and gaming system from getting a decent signal. My partner told me about WiFi extender but I suck at hooking up anything techy. I finally got tired of my movies freezing and getting kicked out of online gaming and when to get an extender. I ended up getting this one because it was at a great price and to my amazement, was a piece of cake to setup! It offers 5GH and 5GH or you can make one or the other super stronger, by turning off which ever spectrum you don't need. Supremely easy to connect ... MoreThis is the best extender I've ever had! This repeater is brilliant. So easy to setup clear, step by step instructions. Please note that when adding this to your network such as netgear04 for example. It will have a ext extension denoting that its the repeater your connecting to. If you have any items setup such as Alexa smart home appliances, you need to ensure that your extension repeater name matches that of your network or your home smart appliances wont connect. You could reconnect them through setup and then select your extension device. Easy to identify leds tell you your connection strength, what frequency i.e. 2.4 or 5 ghz and power. Simply plug it into any outlet in a central location to ensure all areas of the house get good reception. You can even add more than one off needed but this unit does ... MoreThis repeater is brilliant. So easy to setup clear, step by step instructions. This WiFi Range Extender (EX3110) was easy to set-up with an online assistant that walks you through each step. The extender is very convenient-- I can unplug it from one part of my house to plug it into another part quickly, and it begins extending WiFi approximately 45 seconds to one minute after being plugged in. One notable drawback is that the WiFi extender noticeably decreases the efficacy of your router/main network. I live in a college house of 9 people, and the 4 individuals who live in the unit where the router is located have noticed their WiFi become slow and ineffective when all myself and 2 others use the WiFi range extender from our own unit. I live in a college house of 9 people, and the 4 individuals who live in the unit where the router is located have noticed their WiFi become slow and ineffective when all myself and 2 others use the WiFi range extender from our own unit. I have set up the extender in two separate locations of the house, with each location having drawbacks: when I set up the extender close to my room, my WiFi has 3 bars and is very fast; however, my roommate's WiFi on the other side of the house is essentially down/not working. When I plug in the extender halfway between my room and my roommate's unit across the house, all of our WiFi works moderately well, until all 9 of us are using it, in which we have very patchy WiFi. Overall, this product is effective and easy to use. Beware if you plan to use it in a house with more than 8 people connected to one network; it may be possible to find a solution by moving the extender to different areas of the house, but you may be better of with a mesh network system.
Our Wi-Fi network didn’t quite extend to my wife’s office which is located at our home’s furthest point from our router. She does frequent Zoom meetings and the intermittent connection made them very difficult. As a result, she started using my (hard wired) office for her calls. This quickly spurred me to find a solution. The extender was inexpensive and looked like the right fix. Net gear had it to our house in two days. We dropped the range extender about two thirds of the way between the media cabinet and the office and linked it to the network. We linked her computers to the extender and everything works perfectly now. It took five minutes from unboxing to web access. And I have my office back
My son's a gamer and having a very strong internet connection is extremely important to have, especially when they're streaming games, or you want to watch movie on your tv. Unfortunately, my router wasn't reaching certain areas within my home, and I was a little skeptical on purchasing a Wi-Fi range extender, since I've read and heard how hard it was to connect them to your modem/router. I decided to take a chance on the NETGEAR AC750 Dual Band WiFi Range Extender, and it was the best decision I have ever made. The set up was so easy, that my 11-year-old son set it up in less than 2 minutes. A few months later, I changed internet providers, and put the router close to his room, and I took over the Wi-Fi extender. I tried to set up this extender for several hours one night going through all of the different ways that I could set it up without using an Ethernet cable, as I did not have access to the router. When the extender is plugged in, a WiFi network from the extender is supposed to appear and you are instructed to connect your device to it. This network was not showing up for me. After several failed attempts, I got online and spoke with a customer service specialist on the Netgear website. He walked me through the process a few more times. He was very kind and even walked me though a process to do a full reset which involves plugging in unplugging several times and holding down the reset button on the device for over a minute and a half sometimes. It was a very interesting reset process for sure. I was hopeful that would solve the problem, but it did not. After that the service technician informed me that the product must be defective or broken and then I should just return it to the store. The service was great and much appreciated but it was time and money wasted. If I had access to my router and could plug in an ethernet cable it might have worked, but I don’t know.
Pros: Compact profile & simple interface. Configuration is quick & easy but does require some understanding of the native router to which the Extender will connect. The software interface appears nicely designed, clearly indicating which band is active & any devices connected. Active power switch is good for disabling the Extender when not in use. Cons: Improved stability of connection to both bands. The user manual could do with revision to elaborate on how the Extender communicates with an existing router. Unfortunately extenders like this are becoming obsoleteduento the development of MESH technology :(
I actually am living in a hotel that has a very limited in fact non existent signal because there are no routers on my side of the building. The closest router is in the main building maybe 50-60 from my room which by the way is upstairs and this makes connecting more difficult. So unless Netgear is aware of subverting that I’ve not figured out how to do yet, I have had come up with my own idea about how I would accomplish getting the WiFi signal to my hotel room since there is no signal at my room and I have to stay at the $60 price point. I can’t afford the correct equipment right now. So what I did was place an EX6110 a little over halfway between the router and my room. I set up that extender at the halfway point and got great phone customer service while doing so. Then I placed a second NETGEAR EX6110 EXTENDER INSIDE OF MY HOTEL ROOM. Again about 60 yards away from the main route. I then was able to make a new network name from the NETGEAR EX6110 EXTENDER that I placed at the halfway point. I now have excellent signal and great network speed considering how I have the network configured. My Roku streaming TV device streams great as well as my phone and even my neighbors have a network to connect to and the EX6110 supports a number of devices now with only limited interruptions or drops! I’m extremely happy with customer service as well and the 90 day free support with an actual live agent! I’m very happy. Also my service and connection is so good that after just 1 week three other tenants have gone and purchased their very own NETGEAR EX6110 EXTENDER.
I've had many issues with my extender since I bought it. And after calling technical support 5 times and doing everything they said, I still remain confused and frustrated. It really doesn't connect most of the time and I'll factory reset it again, go through Netgear Genie and do all of that and it'll work for a few minutes then it'll disconnect again. This has been an ongoing issue and it makes it so hard to even get on the extender WiFi . I updated it to latest firmware and my extender is in good range of the router. All lights are green, Netgear Genie says its all good. So then why can't I connect to it a few hours later? I have to keep resetting it and I'm not sure why. Is there something I should change in my settings? I looked around couldn't find anything. ... MoreI've had many issues with my extender since I bought it. All lights are green, Netgear Genie says its all good. So then why can't I connect to it a few hours later? I have to keep resetting it and I'm not sure why. Is there something I should change in my settings? I looked around couldn't find anything. Every tech support person I've talked to tells me the same thing and that's to reboot it. Ive did this so much and it only temporarily solves the problem till it completely stops working again. Its weird because the lights all stay solid green and the Netgear Genie says everything is connected, but its not. It'll do this other thing sometimes where my phone is connected and working with the extender wifi, but my other devices like my TV cannot connect to it, when I know in fact it has the capability to do so because its worked fine before. Its confusing... The TV says no internet or network error but my phone is connected fine to it. Another time the TV and phone were connected fine to the extender WiFi but the Xbox would not connect. The same error message. This looked really promising before I bought it I read the box and everything and it looks so awesome but I'm so frustrated and really stressed out trying to get this thing to work lol. Its been a week or 2 and its still doing the same glitchy things. I will say that even though I got tired of calling tech support because they really won't give me any other information that I don't know about or haven't tried I will say they can only do so much and all have been very kind and patient and for that I'm grateful but for now evey time it acts up I reset it and it works again for another few hours. Other than the weirdness ive encountered it works fine when it decides to do so and setup process is very easy. But doing it 100 times because it keeps disconnecting from the router for no apparent reason is annoying.
