I needed a new router as I have just upgraded my internet connection to a 1.6gbps package - my existing router only had gigabit ethernet which was clearly not going to cut the mark. After browsing around, I came across this Netgear RS300 which seemed to tick all the boxes, I was after at least dual 2.5g ports which this router has - it also has WiFi 7 which was not on my list but definitely futureproofs my setup for a while.The WiFi connection throughout my house is strong, providing connection to the whole house with ease. I was having issues with a new Smart device constantly losing connection. The support team for that device replaced it as they thought it was a WiFi reciever issue. Same issue occurred with the new device. As the support team identified a WiFi issue, I came to the conclusion it could be a limitation with my current router (I have 15 smart devices connected) I decided to go all out and and future proof my WiFi and chose the Nighthawk as the specification says it supports up to 200 devices. The Nighthawk solved my issue. The new smart device no longer disconnects randomly. Extremely happy with this router. The set-up was a tad frustrating though but the performance 100% outweighs the set-up frustration. Im giving it 5 stars for value for money because Im happy with ... I really like the ability to customize and personalize features in the app especially with each individual Wi-Fi broadcasting signal. I did a Wi-Fi strength test before and after in various areas of my house. The Nighthawk is outperforming my internet provider router by far. I only had 20 mbps in one of my problem areas. After installing the Nighthawk it went to 35 mbps. So far I’m very happy with my choice.

Simple to setup and offers amazing speeds and coverage of the entire house for every kind of WiFi devise... from old 802.11b to the newest WiFi standard that only a few manufactures have just started putting in high-end laptops and smartphones. This router has been stable and reliable so far, and I love how it notifies me every time a new device connects to my network. I also like how it consolidates all of the different WiFi bandwidth's onto one broadcast name and intelligently switches what kind of WiFi is used with each device depending on device type and distance. Providing the best connection possible. It's a slick WiFi router and compliments a fiber modem really well.
The (RS300) BE9300 Router works great with my Spectrum 1G internet. With my computer connected directly to my modem, I was getting about 1.1G speed, however, with the Spectrum provided router I was I was only getting about .9G out to my devices. I installed the RS300 and immediately was getting the 1.1G speed through it to my computer. When I'm nearby, my phone connects to the 6GHZ band on the router and I get 1G speed on my phone too!The RS300 is easy to set up and using either the app or my computer I can monitor and update the settings as I wish, including naming my devices so I know what they are (like front camera, rear camera, echo dot, etc.) and also optimizing ports for my PS game console.One last comment, by changing the SSID name and password for my ... This BE9300 is a replacement for my Netgear RAXE300 router that was hit with an electrical spike (and less than a year old!). Many of the specs on this router are better than my previous one - for example, Wifi 7 (up from 6E), up to 9.3 Bbps (over 7.8), and 100 devices (up from 40). The one advantage I would give the previous one is the shape - I kind of liked a shape that looked like it came out of a Star Wars movie! Both routers use the same mobile app which provides easy access to settings and admin functions (e.g., speed tests, linked hardware, guest networks). Overall, I am very happy with the Netgear family of Nighthawk routers, especially this new BE9300!

Sometimes you don't realize how many devices are attached or connected to your router. I had a great WI-FI 6 Netgear router mated to my Netgear modem ( hint ) and it didn't take long to overwhelm it with devices. The RS300 was exactly what I needed and can handle up to 100 attached devices. I get the crazy fast speed I need for my laptops , Roku boxes, and music streamers , and their are plenty of 2.5Ghz channels to handle all the wireless smart devices. The "smart connect" software is great as is the Nighthawk software.If your covering over 2500 square feet , I suggest a Netgear range extender or jumping up to the Orbi and it's mesh system.

It’s incredible and extremely responsive; device response time has improved by 20x, and even the NETGEAR app functions much faster. Despite not having any WiFi 7 devices at home, everything is performing better.I have over 60 devices connected to the router, and they all work flawlessly. The WiFi coverage for security cameras has also improved significantly. I highly recommend this router! I bought the Nighthawk on the recommendation of a friend and one of the people who installed my fiber internet.I like the app to be able to control the router as well as so many features.my only issue is setting it up I had to call customer support. I was passed off several times because they did not work with net new high speed router. I did work with one young man for over 2 hours and he finally said he would have to talk to his engineers because everything was working but there was no internet connection. He schuled a call back but that did not happen. I finally called and when I plugged it in it was working.Ilike the router I do not like the customer service
