My home took 6 years to build, it’s 90-% concrete and getting to strong WiFi signal here was near impossible. Well I called NETGEAR support with many questions before in indulged in such a system. After speaking at length with Louis he assured it would be to my advantage to strategically place this 770 Mesh system throughout my home. WOW I am now getting g on an average of 750 to 900mbs and all myDevices work perfectly. I can not thank NETGEAR enough for the amazing job from research to support to sales of this system I now have a770 router and 4- satellites. Works perfectly !!!!!

Excellent mesh router and appears to have strong radios. Expensive. Straightforward to setup using the Orbi app. Took more than a half hour to optimize between router and satellite and upgrade the firmware in the devices. Orbi app is useful but dated; desire additional features such as ability to move an asset from one network to another (one has to accomplish at each asset). Bought directly from NETGEAR as neither Amazon nor BB had in stock. NETGEAR gave a discount. I would recommend to anyone that wants a strong, capable router who doesn’t mind paying top $$.

I was initially super happy with the set up. Moving from a Nest 2020 mesh, the speed was great. However quickly noticed issues with connectivity. The mesh nodes would go from good connection to not- same location as nest was in. My WiFi calling would cut in and out, then issues with connecting to my Philips hue smart lights hub. The outdoor cams had trouble connecting as well consistently. I tried the IoT and moved devices over to that based on their specs but didn’t help. Very disappointing.

Good product which is sturdy and you can see the build quality is great as expected from NetgearSetup was simple and connecting devices was easy. It’s also great you have a dedicated IoT SSID. I’ve also got fully coverage across my full house which wasn’t possible with every other mesh system I’ve tried. The 2 things which found a little frustrating are.1. The WiFi speeds aren’t multi-gig and top out at around 650mb when in the same room. You can only hit close to 2.5gb using the lan. This means if you have a 1gb internet connection you won’t be able to utilise that from 1 device unless you’re using a lan connection. By comparison the 970’s wifi easily hits 2.5gb connection, but the cost is significantly higher.2. I had an issue with a recent firmware update ... MoreGood product which is sturdy and you can see the build quality is great as expected from NetgearSetup was simple and connecting devices was easy. By comparison the 970’s wifi easily hits 2.5gb connection, but the cost is significantly higher.2. I had an issue with a recent firmware update where the router and first satellite updated but the 3rd didn’t and then wouldn’t reconnect. To fix the problem I had to unplug the satellite and connect it to the main router with a lan to get the satellite working again. I think issue was down to my satellite connecting to the router through the other satellite in a daisy chain, so it’s possible the firmware update was midway when the first satellite restarted and severed the update process. ( there are a lot of articles on this, so appears to be a common problem). The only router I tried which was better than this was the Orbi 970, but I had to return as it was just too powerful and devices were picking satellites firthest away vs. ones in the same room and you can’t turn down the power of the satellites anymore like you could with older models. While the 770’s aren’t cheap they are a great product and if you struggle to get full coverage in your house then a good choice to consider if you don’t want to spend thousands on the 970’s. Of you have upto a 1gb connection these will meet your needs, if you have a multi-gig connection then consider getting the 970’s.
This Wi-Fi mesh system is a perfect fit for our 2 story house +basement. I have positioned the router at 2nd floor, and I have placed a satellite in the farthest corner from the router, and the 2nd satellite I have positioned on the 1st floor. Great coverage. I have always struggled with Wi-Fi reception on the first floor with my older router, now with the RBE773 system, all my streaming devices and wi-fi doorbell just works. It's a worthy investment and with the latest wi-fi 7 standard built-in, I am set on being up to date with the latest standard for a long while. If you are strongly considering a Wi-Fi 7 mesh, I encourage you to read the specifications and features. I have been beta testing this Mesh Wifi since couple of months and wanted to share some feedback related to this.1. Easy setup - Just install the app, scan QR code and follow the easy to follow instructions and you will be up and ready in less than 10 minutes.2. Excellent Coverage - This mesh system has eliminated some dead spots far across my garage, backyard etc. Now I get almost full signal strength around and within the house.3. Consistent Speeds - I haven't experienced any drops, and speeds have been pretty consistent to what my ISP provides.4. Support for lot of devices - Easily connect over 100 devices without any issues with quality.5. Wifi 7 - Supports the latest Wifi Standard, and future proofing your tech, will last long way.
I upgraded from a RBE754 3 satellite system (3 satellites & a router). Aesthetically, this new system is much more appealing (it's still fairly large, though). I've been testing this for a while in a fairly large house (4500+ SF), and the range and performance of this 2-satellite system is much better than the 3-satellite RBE754. The throughput for Wifi 7 capable devices is excellent. I've used this in Router and AP mode without a problem. It has Guest and IOT subdomains that provide isolation for those devices. The ecosystem should be familiar to anyone who has used an Orbi system before. The app is reasonable but does not provide full functionality - to get that you need to log into the web-based interface on the router.I prefer using it in AP mode behind a ... MoreI upgraded from a RBE754 3 satellite system (3 satellites & a router). If you use this as a router and want extra security, you have to pay for subscriptions for Parental Controls and Security (Armour) after a free trial - Personally think these should be included for the price, especially Armour Security. If performance and range are your top priorities, this is a no-brainer. For most people, setup will be fairly straightforward with the phone-based app. For the more sophisticated user, the web-based interface provides more customization options and the ability to use AP mode give the ultimate flexibility.Overall, this is a great system that should provide seamless Wi-Fi for many years to come!
Got this product to replace an old Netgear RAX120 router. The router was great but I did not get a signal on the back of the property. With purchasing the Orbi 770 it came with a router and 2 satellites. The router staying in the main level office. The satellites were placed in the basement then in the window of the spare bedroom facing the backyard. I now have full WiFi bars on my whole property. Still learning more about this system but the separate IoT channel is really cool and makes the setup of your smart devices much easier. I highly recommend this Orbi system. Low cost WiFi 7 I think is the best out there for the money. I did have to buy a switch because I had 5 wired internet connections in the house and this only has 3. Just keep that in mind. BLUF: Highly recommend the Netgear Orbi 770 Mesh WiFi System. The Orbi 770 Mesh WiFi System significantly increased my overall network speed. This is the second time purchasing a Netgear Orbi; having used the first gen for nearly 6 yrs and having Android cellphones using the latest WiFi technology, it was time for an upgrade. After chatting with Netgear Sales support staff, they pointed me in the direction of the Orbi 770 with 2 satellites. Setting up the new router and satellites could not have been easier thanks to the Orbi App and the Setup New Router option within the Orbi App. It steps you through the entire process. Total time to set up maybe 10 minutes tops. After setting up the Orbi 770, there are normally firmware updates for it so be sure to check while ... MoreBLUF: Highly recommend the Netgear Orbi 770 Mesh WiFi System. After the firmware update and a fresh reboot, I was off to the races. After placing the satellites in different places in our 3600sq ft home I started checking connectivity and speed tests. When using the first gen Orbi, we would avg 500ish mb per second up and down. Now we are consistently in the upper 900s anywhere inside the house and lower 900s just outside. Our overall WiFi signal strength and coverage increased inside and outside our home thanks to the improved antenna system in the Orbi.Bottom line, I was overdue for an upgrade. Netgear outdid themselves with the latest Mesh WiFi systems. My purchase included using ID.me for additional savings. Thank you Netgear for recognizing Veterans and First Responders for their service to our community and country. If you are in the market for a mesh WiFi network for your home, I highly recommend the Netgear Orbi 770.
I was having a lot of issues with my network. The xfinity tech recommended the Orbi system. After looking through the specs I decided on this one. Setup was seamless and very easy. The system was up and running with the satellites within 15 minutes. It has really improved my home network. You don’t realize how many devices you have attached to your network until you start delving into it. Ring cameras, smart thermostats, tvs, on and on. This system really helps keep your network performance up to speed.
