I gave it the benefit of the doubt as we have three phase power and moved it to our country property where I had another requirement, to connect from a modem in the house to the farm shed. This is a very simple single phase power system with a heavy duty underground line to the shed. Got about 2mbps at the shed (20mbps at the farm router).The total circuit distance of cable is less than 100m and there is one RCD device at the house bpard.These things are supposed to work up to 300m. This is a decent product. I have a residential customer whose home internet router was installed inside of the homes garage. Why? I wish I could say, but this little device is used as a wireless bridge to bring the internet service into his home. The old one died recently and so I sourced this one locally at the closet Best Buy. Was literally the last one on the shelf. Even though it has a web interface we only needed to plug them both into their nearest respective AC outlets and the wireless bridge connection was seamlessly made. Saved me a lot of work and time. I love it when a product works this trouble free, and I'd highly recommend it.
I have been looking for a problem solver to cennect ALL my computers to one ethernet solution in a large home. THIS IS IT. Seamless connection through electricity throughout the home. Three levels of home space connect by ethernet by a simple plug-in device. Needed two pairs, but work instantly and seamlessly throughout, even in a mountain range, AWESOME! I needed tech support, and, WOW, they helped every step of the way, even followed up after the problem call. Can't say enough
I was super surprised on how this product worked well. I truly recommend it if you don’t want a long Ethernet cable running around you house. I used this for my pc via Ethernet and worked great never had a problem with my wifi speed. Also this come with wifi extender too. I used that for my tv and as before it worked perfectly no problems. Once again I highly recommend this product for house. If it’s work from home gaming and streaming this product is for you.
Attempted to boost my internet from 40 mbps. My office is downstairs and in the corner of the house, away from the router. Online services and medical dictation is patchy at best at 40 mbps. At the bottom of my stairs I get 200-300 mbps. I was hoping this would boost my signal. After hooking it up and having all green lights (indicating it should be operating at above 80 mbps) it was even slower. multiple internet speed tests indicated no greater than 22 mbps. Rather than boosting my internet speed by even a little, it slowed it down by more than a half. I don't need to pay for slower internet. I might try a wifi signal booster and see if that works, this one surely did not!
I'm very happy with the results. I had my doubts that this was going to work because I had tried other extenders that didn't work. I live in an old house that's over 100 years old, and it still has some of the old knob and tube wiring that is still active. I was also trying to get a signal from my 2nd floor, where the router was out to my detached garage and the electric car charger; it was a long shot, to say the least. The setup was straightforward and quick, and I was able to grab a strong signal in the garage. I couldn't believe it. I get 20 Mbps download on the 2.4 network in the garage, which works for me.
This is a pretty okay adapter, i have noticed a difference in gameplay. I used to have problems with ping in-game and it would affect how i play. Upon getting this adapter, I see little to no ping drops now, so I am very satisfied on that part. Here is the issue though, this adapter doesnt bring my upload/download speeds a lot. I used to be at 10-20 mbps, and now getting speeds of 25-40 mbps, not a lot but im not really bothered by it. Also interestingly, this adapter tripped my breaker 4 times, no matter what circuit it’s on. When it works, it’s nice!
The Wi-Fi in our house has always been more of an aggravation than an asset so I have ethernet cables hidden all over the place. When my bride decided to move her in-home office to a room where there was no good way to hide an ugly ethernet cable, I took another shot with Wi-Fi extenders. Worked a great a for a few days and a couple of Zoom meetings until neither the primary nor the backup were adequate during an important meeting. I ordered these, plugged them in and all has been first rate ever since. Both outlets are on the same circuit, so even though they claim it isn't necessary, I'm betting it helps to seal the deal.
