Neutrogena, Rapid Wrinkle Repair, Retinol Oil, 30 ml

This review is for the Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Retinol Pro+ . 5% Power Serum. This product is beyond amazing. I wish I had before and after pics. It has taken my skin from dull, rough and acne stricken to super soft, smooth and glowing in only about 1.5-2 weeks. I had a pimple coming in on my face, a mean one, so I put some of this oil serum on it in the morning and by dinner time it was no longer a concern. The lines under my eyes have started to disappear. It has improved every skin concern I had! I still have my dark scars, but with continued use I believe they will fade. I will use this stuff until they don't sell it anymore. One of the best things I've found so far.

0.3% pure retinol

This is an oil serum with with 0.3% pure retinol and Vitamin E, and comes in a bottle with a push button dropper. Retinol is an ingredient that is prized for anti-aging but the difficulty is in formulation, as it is a very unstable ingredient that degrades quickly. I decided to give this a go after learning that Neutrogena does stability testing and their retinol is slow release. This product has 12 months POA on the label. The Ordinary's pure retinol (not their granactive retinoid products) formulas, on the other hand, have to be stored in the fridge and 3 months POA.This is sold as an oil and it is a bit oily on my combination skin. For me personally, it's not quite strong enough to have any effect. I will try the 0.5% Pro+ version soon.

A dud for me

Meh. I wanted a serum product to use on a larger area (decolletage and neck) because its easier to dispense and spread. Noticed it said retinol OIL but I read the ingredients and didn't see an oil in it, so I bought it. It is very oily and greasy, don't like the texture. Not only that but the dispenser is cheap and doesn't keep the oil in until you push it out, so the second you pull the dropper out of the bottle it starts dripping everywhere. Inevitability, oil gets on the outside of the cap and it is such a slippery plastic that its hard to hold and deal with while its so oily. I have used L'Oreal retinol serum before and liked the texture and the dropper doesn't leak. I will go back to that and won't buy this again.

A little miracle wonder on crows feet!

With my skin starting to age, I am very conscious of the wrinkles appearing and how deep my forehead lines and crows feet lines are. After more than 2 weeks of daily usage (some days twice daily), I have noticed a huge visible improvement in my crows feet lines, almost to the point they are nearly gone! A little tub of miracle oil this Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Retinol Oil is.My forehead lines have also visibly improved. The oil is smooth to apply, smells nice and soaks in well to the skin - leaving a positive lasting impression.I did find I had to apply quite a bit of the oil to soak in enough to my skin, but I do suffer from dry skin so that's most products. Disappointed

Don’t waste your money. I purchased this for some wrinkles that I noticed around my eyes, having high hopes because of the reviews. I’m almost all the way through the tube and I’ve seen no change at all. Actually, I swear my wrinkles are worse. There is a heavy fragrance with this, so if you’re sensitive to smells then I would definitely avoid this. I actually like the fragrance, but it gets to be overwhelming if I have it on too long. Each time they say it’s against their standards, I’ve reworded it and I’ve shortened it and still can’t get it posted. Keep that in mind when looking at all of their positive reviews. It’s because they’re extremely selective on any negative reviews.

Great introduction to retinol

This is a great product to use to introduce retinol to your skincare routine. The oil base is really nourishing which helps stop dryness that retinol can cause. The product soaks in quickly and doesn't leave any residue. There isn't a noticeable smell which is nice. The dropper is super handy for dispensing the right amount without making a mess. Product spreads well and you don't need to use very much. Once the normal retinol purge was done I noticed a great difference in my skin. Plumper, tighter and looking more hydrated. Love this product!

Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Retinol Oil

After cleansing my skin at night I disperse 4-5 drops of the Rapid Wrinkle Repair® Retinol Oil to my skin by using the dropper to drop the oil into the palm of my hand then using my fingertips I gently massage it into my face using circular motions. The oil is sweet in smell, absorbs really well and efficiently into my skin leaving no residue or a oily shine. As someone with combination skin it can be hard to find oils that work for me, this just does. After using this for over a month I definitely have noticed a difference in my skin. Overall there is a a much better skin tone, colour my skin appears my hydrated the fine lines are more plump and skin appears smoother.I would definitely recommend this oil to those wanting anti-aging results with other skincare benefits such a improved appearance of skin and fine lines/wrinkles.

Not a fan...

I used (and loved!) Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream for 24 years until it was recently discontinued. Why, Lord? Why! It absolutely changed the poor condition of my skin. Now my skin is suffering its loss.Since then, I've unfortunately been forced to find a comparable retinol product that suits my aging skin. Staying with Neutrogena, I decided to try this "oil" with hopes of achieving similar results while layering with a basic Neutrogena moisturizer. Well, that's been a flop. This oil has caused me to breakout, a few pimples at age 51...ugh! And it's not hormones, already been through that stage of life.For me, while washing my face, if the retinol is working I'll be able to feel the skin roll right off with gentle massaging. Product is great. Packaging Not so much.

Was trying to purchase a product that I had previously bought called Rapid Firming Collagen Triple Lift Serum. It appeared that this was a new packaging but when I opened it I realized it was not. This product is in a tube with a pump and I preferred a pump bottle for easier application and storage. This new product contains retinol and I am satisifed with the product enough but preferred my original purchase which I believe may have been discontinued. Just not the best container for storage or functionality. Sometimes I wonder just WHO they use as product testers before releasing out to the open market. Just not "handy" packaging.

Wishful hopes crashed

Tried this product as an upgrade from the Neutrogena Rapid Repair Serum. I've always been a fan of Neutrogena products. But this product has my ideas swaying differently.Needless to say, after 2 uses, I will have to discharge this bottle!I am extremely careful in how I apply my products.HIGH skin irritation and made dry spots on my face worse. Hours after I apply serum, if anything grazes my face, feels like open Jalapenos just touched my face- burning sensation to the highest degree!! Face turns red and just burns. If I try to wash it off, will worsen the burning sensation.Not satisfied whatsoever!
