The "best New Balance shoe of all time" that says it all, doesn't it? No, not really. The 574 is perhaps our most unusual icon. The 574 was designed to be a reliable shoe that does many different things well, not a platform for revolutionary technologies or a showcase for premium materials. It is this unassuming, unpretentious versatility that has catapulted the 574 into the ranks of the greats. As a hybrid roadtrail construction built on a wider last than the narrow racing silhouettes of the previous generation, the 574 is a uniquely versatile mix of new, different, uncomplicated, robust, durable and comfortable that has found its way into shoe cabinets around the world. As a result, the 574 is now synonymous with New Balance's revolutionary style that is wearable for everyone.

The shoes are decent but rub up against the back of my ankles, as far as the beige fabric its a little rough to look at. Replacing the fabric with leather would look so much more appealing. The fact that they spelled out New Balance on the rear of the shoe feels a bit Generic the laces are a tad bit too long, but that happens with every shoe i've ever bought. The stitching on the N logos makes it look like they can peel off at any moment. However around my area New Balance are a cheaper alternative, so to see shoes like these gives me faith in humanity that not every shoe has to look like a basketball or wrestling shoe, and not everything has to be the color of a rainbow.

Unfinished tounge. Would have kept the shoe but quickly returned after missing that. Would have even bought a tounge replacement to keep the shoe. This new style will quickly fall apart. Returned the store at store and saw Nike doing the same.

I’ve worn these off and on indoors and outdoors. Played about 6 rounds of disc golf around Knoxville in them, which was my main purpose for buying. They’ve already started coming unglued at the front where the sole wraps up onto the main toe cap. The paint on the heel clip is coming off which is funny because it’s white plastic underneath, but they painted it a slight cream color. The suede got really hairy very fast when gently brushing them with a soft dry brush to get dirt and small grass seeds off them after wear. The foam midsole is really too soft to hold up to any errant sticks or rocks that may impact the surface, there’s some areas that are a bit ripped up. I’m not hard on my shoes and it’s not like I’ve been hiking in these in rugged trail. Lastly the ... MoreI’ve worn these off and on indoors and outdoors. It’s totally a real casual sneaker and not worth it’s full retail price, I’m glad I paid much less for these by buying them from Going Going Gone, otherwise I’d be livid. New balance only has a year warranty for certain issues and these don’t qualify unlike other brands that stand behind their product. Just disappointed because I’ve had other NB that held up much better.

Macys staff are always polite and helpful, apparently gym shoes sold in Kenwood are separate and independently owned. I don’t know how I feel about this product: but I can tell you that some of the staff members don’t belong in retail; and certainly reflect poorly on Macys! If I’d known in advance I wouldn’t have made the purchase there. Rude and impolite, unknowledgeable about their products and not helpful at all.
The doctor recommend new balances to me very comfortable. Especially if you own your legs long hours, so this was the perfect. Sneaker, for me. So for now, and on, I will be wearing nothing but new balance. Thank you for your support in your good team effort, macy's.Just the greatest
Used to wear them long ago in Manhattan. To the McBurney YMCA on 23rd street playing paddle ball with unforgiving seniors. Now i rediscovered them! After some disappointing flirtations with other brands.
I am a loyal customer to New Balance Sneakers. They are always a perfect fit! I just pick a new color but stick to the right fit.My whole family wears New Balance! Even my 3 young grandchildren have NB in the sneaker collection.
I'm a big fan of the New Balance 574 and was looking to add a bright orange to my collection. The orange color matches how it looks on my app and is brighter and more vivid than previous 574 "orange/rust" models. The biggest problem keeping this from being a 5 star shoe is that the tongue does not match the quality of the rest of the shoe. The edges of the tongue are not piped and the foam is exposed. I have included a photo of previous build vs this build.
These shoes fit true to size and they are perfect for a wide foot like mine. I got these for work and they were great for being on my feet all day. No break in period required. It’s my second pair and they are very reasonably priced.
These are the most comfortable sneakers I have ever owned. They are versatile even given the unique green color. I wore them the entire day and had zero discomfort! I’ll be buying in other colors! 10/10 recommend!
