Having spent a bit of time with the Nikon Prostaff P3 I am really impressed with these binoculars. The first thing that struck we was how light and compact they are, yet have an amazingly build and image quality. They come with a simple case, strap and protective covers for the optics. Packaged up they are a perfect size to put in a backpack and take out and about without really noticing you have them on you. The size of the binoculars is compact, which for me is perfect as they are not too small and not too big, which makes them extremely versatile for multiple uses. In addition having a 10x zoom means that they provided enough magnification for almost all scenarios. These binoculars have an extremely good build quality and feel very solid in the hand. There are loads of adjustments you can make and they come with adjustable eyecups so are suitable for people with or with or without glasses. I have found them very comfortable for long use (I don't wear glasses) and the range of adjustments really help. They are also waterproof underwater so will be able to withstand and poor weather with ease. Finally I want to talk about the image quality. These honestly feel like more expensive binoculars than they are. The quality of the image they produce is excellent. It's extremely sharp and accurate and makes these binoculars a joy to use.

I bought these for a holiday to replace an older, heavy pair. They are great for watching wildlife for me as an amateur enthusiast! I was clear about what I needed for my level, and these fit the bill. I could have spent a lot more to get the same spec. They are a comfortable weight, waterproof and have a carrying strap and belt loop.Perfect.
I have been looking and researching for a pair of binoculars for a little while as a present for my wife's birthday. I wanted something with either 8 or 10 times magnification for amateur birdwatching. They also needed to be lightweight as my wife didn't want to be lugging a heavy weight pair of 'bins' like the set I have. These binoculars fit the bill perfectly, they weigh in just over 500grams but they are not flimsy, they feel solidly made with an easy grip finish. My wife actually commented that they felt very comfortable to hold and carry around and the view through them is clear and bright. They are very competitively priced by JL, in fact I had to double check that they had been priced correctly as everyone else was selling them for £30 more!Great pair of ... One very happy wife!
The binoculars come with their very own carry case and strap, along with lens protectors. My first thought when I held them, was how tactile they are. They have rubber armouring for shock resistance, which offers a secure comfortable grip. Despite the sturdy build, they are relatively light to hold.Living in Britain, I am grateful that they are waterproof. Thankfully, the weather does not depict my sight-seeing days out with these binoculars. They can be used in all weather conditions.I was impressed to find that these binoculars can be used with or without glasses, this is a simple and easy adjustment to make as and when required. The 10x42 magnification is enough for my uses. They are surprisingly easy to focus and precise, providing sharp colourful images. ... They offer a broad view with a decent level of magnification. The binoculars provide a surprisingly good balance between gathering light and satisfying practicality.I have used these binoculars to search for dolphins and seals along the Cornish coast, spott birds of prey in the Clwydian Range and watch the antics of cheeky squirrels scurrying around the oak tree at the bottom of the garden.I have not been disappointed; they are a pleasure to use.
What can I say... I love these little beauties - though please note I am not an expert so this is just from layman's perspective. The secret is that they are little and light (compared to the larger traditional lens ones that I normally use). This has many benefits. Firstly, its not a pain to have them around your neck for longer periods. You just don't notice the weight. The eye-pieces retract to be more compact when put away and are easily adjusted into position for use. Focus is simple and easy, and one really noticeable thing for me is the field of view. These have an excellent, wide field of view, with great clarity. I have some cheaper compact ones that are too narrow and its just impossible to find what you want to look at so these are a great ... Ive lost a few over the years so this is a great help also.In my opinion these are a great buy and well worth the money!
Having owned several relatively cheap pairs of binoculars previously, this was my first quality pair from a major brand. In short, I was not disappointed.First impressions upon unboxing - the unit feels high-quality with a premium rubberised finish, which is apparently waterproof. I haven't tested this (the days I took these up to our local nature reserve were disappointingly dry!) but they certainly feel tough and rugged, likely liable to withstand both rain and the less than careful handling of a clumsy nature lover out on a ramble. They are supplied with a decent soft case, neck strap (identical to Nikon camera straps) and lens covers. Helpfully, the covers clip easily onto the strap, minimising the faff of loose items when removed. The optics are fantastic, ... Helpfully, the covers clip easily onto the strap, minimising the faff of loose items when removed. The optics are fantastic, offering a clear, razor-sharp picture which is a notable step up from more basic units. I trialled them in a number of bird hides at varying ranges, and was easily able to observe lots of detail, with a bright crisp image. The single most notable issue I have with binoculars is comfort - extended use can often be uncomfortable or even painful, depending on how well the units fit your face and eye shape. In this case, excellent twist-to-adjust eye cups ensured a snug but not too tight fit, enabling me to carry on using them for longer sessions than I may have done otherwise.Overall, I'd thoroughly recommend these binoculars, particularly if you've never owned a high quality pair and are looking for an upgrade from a more basic set. There is genuinely nothing I disliked about them.
I bought these for my teenage son for a birthday gift. We were impressed with the glass for an inexpensive pair of binoculars. After the one year warranty was up, which doesn’t cover bumps and drops, a light bump caused a double image that couldn’t be adjusted out. With nothing to lose, I rolled back the rubber cover from the objective end to have a look. The barrel was broken where the two pieces screw together. Made of plastic and reminded me of toy binoculars. If you are looking for value priced binoculars, I would try a different brand.
I’ve used binos for 40yrs plus now, and am very fortunate to have pairs of Swarovski and Leicas in my collection. But as a safari guide, loaning one’s personal binos to daily guests is never ideal. These Nikons have proved a lifesaver on safari, having adequate numbers of these onboard our large vehicle fleet, to cater for 4-6 guests each. The Optics are great, being waterproof is a bonus and feedback from our high end guests has been wonderful! Will certainly continue to purchase these for our various Safari operations throughout Southern and Eastern Africa.Thank you for a great, well priced pair of Binoculars!! 😉👌
