I already have the Cuisineart Ice21 but the reviews online on a home based Pacojet were too intruiging to ignore. The pros are that the workflow is simple. Chuck everything together into the bowl. Freeze 24hrs and spin. Good for recipes using higher water content with little to no stabilisers. The recipe in the video only consists of 3 ingredients, sugar, strawberries and Greek yoghurt. Turned out very well, comparable to a certain froyo chain but with more control over the ingredients and ultimately the calories.15 pints later:-1. 3 pints is not enough. Get more spare pints for more flavours. I had chocolate, coffee, root beer, lychee and watermelon flavours all in my freezer at one point. 2. You definitely need to be willing to experiment with different recipes unless you are willing to eat cream cheese ice cream on a regular. My favorite so far 3-4 mashed bananas, 1/3 cup almond milk , 1/4 cup organic peanut butter and 1/4 cup PB2 powder and a pinch of sea salt. Follow instructions in Ninja book. It is good in a pinch and I have yet to see the difference in settings like ice cream, or lite or Gelato. Obviously the mix in but so powerful it breaks up add ins too much. I haven't tried milk shake yet

I love cold treats, but I am a T2 diabetic so I have very limited options commercially for anything sweet and frozen. With the CREAMi I can control the ingredients and I am able to use whole foods to create amazing desserts. I love this thing!!PROS• Complete control over the ingredients of my frozen desserts• Reasonable price for a unit that does with this one does• Good amount of options and features• Extremely easy to use• Not bad looking for a countertop ... MoreI would give the product a solid 4 stars, but support gets 5 stars all the way!!I have been using the Ninja CREAMi daily for about a year. There is no easy way to clean "under the hood" on the lid and the amount of gunk that gets in there is significant. It's actually disgusting because for months I did not notice through the smoke plastic that there was all manner of ice cream base trapped inside the lid. One day I noticed a slightly foul smell and upon closer instruction, I could see the lid was filled with mold! 🤢🤮 It took me about an hour to soak and plunge the thing, finally using a small scrubber (meant for cleaning straws) that I manipulated through the three tiny openings on the lid scrubbing the entire inside. This was a long difficult process and then I followed it up by soaking the entire lid in bleach water and then ozone water until I felt comfortable that the mold was gone. Now I make sure to soak and plunge after every use to make sure nothing is in that lid between uses. They really need to redesign that lid so that it's easy to remove the cover and/or easier to clean out the internals of the cover.• This CREAMi is Extremely Loud. Like a blender, LOUD like an airplane taking off. It definitely depends on the ingredients and the type of ice cream you're making, but if it's a really hard base this thing is going to wake up the neighborhood. That said I love the product that it makes for a couple minutes it takes.BONUS• Even with the two flaws in ordered above, overall it's a great device, but what really sets it apart from anything else on the market is the company behind it. I have a dozen Shark Ninja products and all of them have been solid through the years. I have had very few issues with any of them. In fact, most of them have had no issues at all for years of use.My most recent interaction with Shark/Ninja led to me sharing this comment:Amazing customer service!! I didn’t have my purchase date or receipt and they still took the time to look up my unit, verify the legitimacy of the product, review the damage/defect via video link, and issue a 100% replacement. Even waived the shipping fee due to an issue/delay with their payment processor. The support specialist was methodical, kind, patient, and thorough. Astonished by the level of support, the professionalism, the way they stand behind their products, and their commitment to the customer. I just may be a Shark/Ninja customer for life!

AVOID THIS MACHINE
11 April 2024

I bought and registered this Creami in Sept 2022 from Costco. It was used perhaps 12-15 over this span as I used it for only special occasions or guests as a novelty dessert offering. When I attempted to use it last night, the outer bowl got stuck to the base (with the bowl containing the frozen mixture inside). Repeated attempts to free it were unsuccessful, so I googled Ninja Creami to find a possible fix. From what I read online from various forums, this problem is not an uncommon occurrence. After trying possible solutions (short of forcing it up with a screwdriver as I was fearful of breaking it- and I value my eyes), I waited until morning to call customer support. After trying possible solutions (short of forcing it up with a screwdriver as I was fearful of breaking it- and I value my eyes), I waited until morning to call customer support. After a video demonstration with the agent, I was advised nothing could be done but..... since my 1 year warrantee expired in September, they would sell me a new one at above the cost that I paid at Costco. When I asked to speak to someone from the corporate office, I was connected to a manager of customer service who offered the same. Why on earth would I re-purchase the same product that broke half a year after the warrantee expired for more money than I paid at Costco and trust that this defect (which apparently is common) would not happen again? I own numerous Ninja products which I have enjoyed (the Smart Foodi grill, the complete cook wear line) and this was my first issue with a product. Unfortunately, it was a bad experience, and I will avoid Ninja products in the future. Beware and steer clear of this machine (unless you have no problem with a 1- 1/2 year rental that will break on you with little or no recourse from Ninja).

Even then the most I have had to respin us 4 times to get back gorgeous, creamy, delicious ice cream. I absolutely adore the add-in feature. I would definitely order the Deluxe model, however, since it is just me in the house the original Ninja Creami is my dream machine.I have tried 4 other ice cream machines and not one compares to the Ninja Creami for functionality and the vast array of treat choices. The Ninja Creami is MG best friend :o)

Easy to assemble and use!

Definitely easy to assemble and useWas initially intimidated by the Ninja Creami Ice Cream Maker, but after watching a few online videos, I realized it was quite easy to assemble and use. The process of making ice cream seemed straightforward once I got the hang of it. For my first attempt, I decided to make vanilla ice cream. It's important to follow the instructions closely, especially with the 24-hour freezing time — we cut it short and learned that it really makes a difference!Once properly frozen, the ice cream took just a few minutes to spin and re-spin. It’s not the machine, it’s you!!

I would recommend staying clear of this machine. I would give it 0 stars if that was an option. It was given to me as a gift from my daughter who loves hers. To be honest, the machine seems pretty powerful and does turn ice cream into a pretty smooth treat. But the mess is incredible. We have tried it many times with frozen ice cream following the instructions completely but yet we always have a mess outside the machine and in the outer cup that runs down through every nook and cranny. I have called tech support just to be told that am using it wrong! They told me that we should keep all materials in the cup at least 2 fingers below the max fill line!! I would give it 0 stars if that was an option. It was given to me as a gift from my daughter who loves hers. When I suggested that the instructions say not go above the line then I would take that to mean up to the line is OK. Clearly not, So this machine is designed to make shakes that won’t fill a baby cup. My daughter seems to have better success with the 11 in 1 unit. But this unit is disappointing. I am confident the gasket is the issue but Ninja thinks it is not being used correctly. I was told by Ninja customer service, sorry, we can no longer help you. Great customer service! I have at least 6 Ninja products in my home and support has been great until now.

Major Important Issue: check your freezer before
4 April 2024

I LOVED my ninja creami until two things happened: 1. Little pieces of plastic would show up in my ice cream. 2. Last night I made ice cream and then noticed the outer container totally cracked. I didn’t drop it and nothing happened. I called customer service and they did live video to see the the crack and they told me it was because my ice creami pint container was too cold and that my freezer had to be set to 7-9 degrees farenheit. I checked and my SAMSUNG fridge/freezer only goes as high as 5 degrees so it’s impossible to set it to 7-9 degrees. My unit was even under warranty and they refused to send me a new outer container. This makes no sense to me… you can’t create a product that doesn’t work with major appliance/fridge-freezer settings and then not replace ... MoreI LOVED my ninja creami until two things happened: 1. Sadly, unless you want to buy a new container every 10 ice cream batches this unit is not financially worth it. If Ninja decides to do the right thing and replace my outer container then I’d be more than happy to change my star rating because I really did love using the appliance the 8-10 times I used it.

Not Worth the Time to Spin
12 June 2024

The 3-1 Creami worked well. The first one I received, bar got stuck in the pint and wouldn’t release after several uses. The company allowed return and sent a new one. I used it a few days, but with all the steps & time to get a good ice cream, it wasn’t worth the time to me. If the ice cream stayed soft once it was spun and put back in freezer, that might be worth it to me. If you don’t eat the whole pint, you have to let it melt a bit, flatten the top and freeze for 24 hours. Then it takes 4-7 minutes to spin before serving. And if you want a mix-in it’s even longer. Also, if you have a large gathering, you have to allow a lot of time bc you can only spin 1 pint adequately to my taste 7 minutes (a regular spin on lite ice cream, plus 1 re-spin). Also, if you have a large gathering, you have to allow a lot of time bc you can only spin 1 pint adequately to my taste 7 minutes (a regular spin on lite ice cream, plus 1 re-spin). So, you canPretty much only serve 3 people every 7 minutes. The texture of the lite protein ice creams I created was phenomenal, like gelato at my favorite true Italian gelato store. The tastes were decent. I’m amazed at the engineering to turn a block of ice and healthy ingredients to a wonderfully-textured food in your own home that is an alternative to ice cream or gelato at a fine store. All-in-all, the Creami is just not worth it to me, mainly because of the spin times, but also because even for the lower calories than ice cream or gelato, it’s not satiating. I’d rather have chia pudding which is always ready to serve from my refrigerator and is much more satiating to me.(The Creami recipes I used involved low fat cottage cheese, allulose, vanilla or other flavorings. cocoa powder, fairlife skim milk, protein powder, & sometimes fruit). The company was great about being contacted and promptly refunded my money after I returned it.

[Rewarded Review] Avoid it. Seriously.
27 June 2024

These machines are great for making an incredibly close approximation of ice cream. But they are not reliable at all. If you don't mind blowing $200 plus dollars on a machine that may last a year or two then go for it. Otherwise, I'd avoid this product until they have some kind of major redesign. The biggest issue with the machine's design in the shaft in which the blade attaches. The tip of the shaft is magnetized and holds the blade in place as it shaves and whips up the frozen concoction in your pint. However, should you accidentally have something frozen too hard, not perfectly level, or have certain frozen fruits in the wrong random position, there's a high likelihood that the blade will struggle and overheat. The excess heat from the blade WILL DE-MAGNETIZE ... MoreThese machines are great for making an incredibly close approximation of ice cream. But they are not reliable at all. The excess heat from the blade WILL DE-MAGNETIZE the shaft. The shaft is directly attached to the motor and is not user serviceable. So should this happen to you, the machine is now a large heavy brick...completely useless. Shark will honor warranties with a replacement unit within the 1 year time frame. That's great. But because the product's design is questionable, even the replacement unit has a high risk of failure. You'll eventually be past the 1 year warranty time frame and then be SOL.This is all from personal experience and I just hope to help anyone out there avoid wasting their hard earned cash on a product that will most likely fail on them.
