Each accessory is sturdy and well-crafted, made from heavy-duty plastic. The pieces can be easily cleaned, just be careful when removing and cleaning the blades since they are sharp! The "Blendsense" technology is amazing! It can detect what type of item you're putting in it (ice, portion, liquid,) and adjusts the blend speed and duration accordingly and produces consistently perfect results. It knows when to stop or tells you it needs more time. It senses speeds up when it needs to and slows down to let the chunks of whatever you're blending to settle back into the liquid, then speeds back up again until your milkshake, smoothie or whatever you're making is perfectly smooth without being overly blended.Overall, this is a versatile and efficient kitchen appliance that can handle a wide range of food processing and blending tasks. With its advanced technology, powerful motor, and various attachments, it can be a valuable addition to any kitchen!#influenster #influenstervoxbox #ninja #Ninjablendsense #smoothiemaker

It includes a 72oz pitcher (64oz max liquid capacity), a 64oz food processor bowl that can handle up to 2 lbs. of dough, and a 21oz single server cup (21oz max liquid capacity). The pitcher has a pour spout and there's a nice lid for the single serve cup which also had a closing spout. The blades for the blending pitcher and the bowl for the processor both have the blades anchored at the top and the bottom. If you take off the lids and pour, the blades will fall out, so make sure to remove them before pouring if you take the lid off. They do come out very easily. The processor bowl includes an opening like you would expect to see on a food processor as well as a pusher to push items down. There's a blade insert, insert for kneading bread, and a disc for shredding and slicing - put it in one way to shred and flip it over to slice. The manual comes with some recipes, done nicely with color pictures. It is made to detect Torque, Ice, Portion, and Liquid as part of the BlendSense technology.ControlsI love the controls on this! After turning it on, you will have four options, Manual, BlendSense, Mode, and Pulse. It goes to BlendSense by default when you turn it on and you can just press the dial to start. There is a beautiful and bright display inside the large dial. I found it very easy to read and use. Parts of it illuminate as needed. Turning the dial has a great feel as you feel the slight bump from option to option, making selection with the dial easy. Once you're on the option you want, just press the dial in to start blending. If it's doing BlendSense it will run for a short time to detect what's in and/or how to blend. To use the food processor you may want to use one of the Mode settings, which are for that, or you can use Manual. Under Mode there's are settings for Disc (used for slicing or grating), Mince, Small Chop, or Large Chop. The options under Manual are Low, Medium, and High. Again, I really like the feel of the dial as you turn it and pressing it is very easy and works well - not too easy but well designed to require enough force that you will not press it by accident. The dial is the start/stop button for all settings. There is, of course, the Pulse button too which works as you would expect.Blending and the ProcessorWith an 1800 watt motor and the three sets of blades going at once, I don't imagine that this would have a hard time blending anything. It worked great for me as I was using it. I started with a quick and easy milk shake in the single serving cup. I made it very quick and easy one that tasted excellent! I just put three scoops of ice cream and a large banana in it. I used the BlendSense setting, which is the default, and before I knew it had great, very uniformly blended smoothy with no chunks of banana in it. Again, this was in the Single Serving cup which has it's own blade assembly, not the three sets up the middle like the blade for the pitcher. Something more interesting I made was an oat-nut butter in the Processor Bowl. It had oats, walnuts, coconut oil, avocado oil, cinnamon, and vanilla. This took some time because I hadn't made it before and kept needing to add more oil. At first, the oats and nuts would just get stuck along the side. So it was a lot of stop and go to push everything off the sides of the bowl. The blades do go pretty close to the side but there are four vertical bumps that come inward which I'm sure help for most things you use the processor for, but for this it gave just a bit more room for things to get stuck on the side. Like I said, adding oil definitely helped. Did it end up too oily? Not at all! The result was actually excellent. It made an uniformly ground oat-nut butter with wonderful flavor! I'll be making that again for sure! It not only taste great but was very spreadable. After making it I looked at the manual a bit and found that 1/4 cup of oil was recommended for making nut butters. I think starting with 1/4 cup of oil would have made it much easier to make. I also used the disc to grate a block of mozzarella. I just put in parts of the block down the shoot at a time, using the pusher and the "Disc" Mode setting. It went through the cheese very quickly and produced very nicely grated cheese. I was left with a few small pieces at the top but nothing that I didn't think was acceptable. The cheese was grated thinner than what I usually do with a hand grater but the size is perfect for me. I included a picture of the grated mozzarella so you can hopefully get an idea. I also used the standard pitcher to make a fruit smoothy. I used a mix of many different frozen fruits, most all together in a bag that was made for that, but with additional blueberries. Again, this didn't take long to make, I just used the BlendSense and let it do its thing. It ran the short detection and then started blending. It did its thing and finished with another uniformly blended smoothy. While there is nothing hard about doing that, I want to re-iterate that you turn the thing on and the default setting is "BlendSense". At that point all you do is press the Dial to start and then you can watch a nice timer on the screen. It is easy, I like having the timer, and the results were great each time.SummaryI'm impressed by the Detect Power Kitchen System Pro. The blender is top notch as far as I can tell. The BlendSense technology is something I will probably use most if not all the time rather than the low, medium, and high settings. It's just so quick and easy. When you do need settings though, I love the button and dial combination of control. I'm not sure I would love it except that the screen is so good! Not just the text in it but you will see different colors around the outside for different settings. I was thinking the processor may be a poor quality add-on to check the box but that wasn't very capable. I feel like it worked very well and could totally be used in place of a food processor in most if not all situations. I did have a hard time cleaning the nut butter out from under the middle post, it was stuck up inside the middle post. They've made it as easy as possible by having it all well sealed but even with the rounded corners of the start inside that post, it was difficult to clean. I think that was due to the combination of how long I had to blend for the nut butter and the consistency of it that made it hard to get it out of that star inside the middle post. My only other comment on cleaning is they have a safety setup so that you need to have the lid on the pitcher or the bowl before it will run. to do that there is a mechanism that runs through the handle. In cleaning I had water get into the handle. That's a bit disappointing but, not a huge issue. It does seem to eventually dry out, at least mostly. Still, for me those are minor issues and the functions this provides as well as how well it does them make it a Blending/Food Processor system that I would totally recommend.

She's looking forward to making cookies and doughs much easier. Those are one of the items that I've convinced her to leave dairy in for now.The Blendsense function of the blender is a nice set-it-and-forget-it function. She likes the ease of using the blender. The dial and screen are nice, easy to use, and you can clearly see where it's at in the blending process. It wasn't all sunshine, my wife did run into a few hurdles switching to this from our current blender. First, it’s a lot of extra peices so you will need the space to store it. Not a con on her part because we have space in the kitchen, but something to be aware, since you're buying a whole blending system. She also found the Ninja blender not as powerful as the more industrial-strength blender we currently have. Our current blender makes her cashew milk quickly and easily, but when she tried to make it in the Ninja she couldn’t get it to run fast enough or strong enough to really blend the cashews and dates. She was left with a lot of pieces at the bottom. She tried running blend sense 3 times and then she ended up manually running it at the highest setting for an additional 2 minutes. So that’s her only issue - she's going to be making smoothies next week so we will see how it does then.As for cleaning, most of the pieces are dishwasher safe in the top rack, but honestly, it's easier for me to just hand wash them and let them dry in the drying rack.

Great to use, easy to clean. Excellent blender

I’ve been using the blender for about a month now for various cooking activities and it has performed well in all cases. Two of the most common uses are making hummus and emulsified meat for kebabs or sausages When making the the tahini for hummus, I initially used the single serve cup but found the threads being on the inside made adding ingredients messy since the threads became clogged and impractical. This could benefit from having the threads on the outside of the cup, leaving the internal wall smooth. Ultimately I switched to using the jug and as a result, this problem no longer occurred. Following the advice in the instructions I chopped the meat into small cubes before adding to the jug along with the spices and herbs. Using the pulse setting, minced the meat until it was like a paste in batches as I didn’t think 1.5kg would fit in the jug. After leaving it over night to marinate I then added the fresh ingredients, some water and all the meat to blend again. The blender sounded like it was struggling with 1.8kg of meat and ingredients, so I split the mix into 900g batches and it easily finished both batches. This created a nice, smooth, paste like consistency exactly as required. Clean up was easy, I placed some soapy water in the jug and ran it again, which removed almost all of the stuck ingredients leaving for a simple clean up afterwards

Really handy to grab a handful for starting off Bolognese recipes, etcIt’s not a heavy machine and the suckers underneath keep it well in place, even at top speed. So far it’s stayed out on the worktop as it’s been used a lot, I normally put stuff away in the cupboard and forget about it soon after purchase.Think I’ll be getting rid of the Auto iQ now, as I’ll get more use out of the blenderTo make washing up easier, I just put a squirt of washing up liquid and warm water in the jug and pulse for a few seconds then rinse. Quicker than scrubbing in the sink, but maybe I’m just lazy!

I was sent this blender to test by Ninja. It arrived in a large box and my initial thought was where am I going to store all these parts? It comes with a large jug, blending bowl and 3 single serve cups, all with lids, numerous blades and a grating/slicing disc. I quickly realised the machine will replace my old food processor, hand blender and blender/smoothie maker. Once these items were relegated to a box in the loft, this machine actually took up less space, great. We have had the blender for almost two weeks now and it has been used numerous times a day. Wanting to make sure I test it throughly, I’ve filled the freezer with lots of goodies. So far I’ve made: smoothies, smoothie bowls, scones, Thai pork patties, coleslaw, guacamole, lemonade, chopped nuts for granola, sliced cucumbers, Yorkshire pudding batter, carrot cake, Korean koftas, focaccia, grated cheese, bliss balls, pizza dough, strawberry and watermelon slushies, caraway cake, raspberry & coconut muffins, blackberry ice cream base & raita. Today it will be used for mint sauce and cobbler topping for a blackberry and apple cobbler. In the future I’m looking forward to trying nut butters, mayo, pakoras, pitta breads , falafels and quiche.Everything so far has been successful. The raita had an add liquid error, I probably used the wrong vessel and mode, so I’ll experiment. The smoothie bowl wasn’t completely blended on the top edge, but actually proved a lovely contrast to the perfectly smooth smoothie below. Be warned the book servings are huge, I would say the portion for 2 would easily serve 4.The unit is extremely powerful, perfectly blending nuts and dates to make bliss balls. All my previous blenders have struggled with this and got hot in the process, on blensense this machine goes oh ok nuts and dates, no problem, give me a few seconds! Making slushies out of pure frozen fruit is a breeze and amazing for super hot days.Blendsense works out the correct mode for everything, dough, max crush, thick mode etc. Smoothies are the smoothest I’ve had, even though I tend to add lots of seeds.Being able to pour through the spout on the jug is a big plus too, making ice cream, simply add ingredients, Blensense, then pour through the spout into the churner. We make lots of breads and the dough attachment works great, I’ve found dough only needs an extra minute of kneading, so a real time and effort savour. Focaccia was light and pizza dough perfectly chewy crust and light base. The unit does jump around a bit making dough, but seems to stay put on the worksurface due to the suckers on the bottom. I think my bread maker should be worried about being relegated to the loft too!Cakes and muffins are simple, just use the jug and switch blades as needed. For instance, to make a carrot cake, use the grating disc for the carrot, then the normal blade for the walnuts, then switch to dough blade for the cake mix, easy. Pour in a tin, cook, cool, then blend topping, simple. It is very easy to clean, all parts are dishwasher top shelf safe, the jug doesn’t quite fit in ours, so a little squirt of washing up liquid and some warm water blended for 30 seconds does the job. Any leftover bits are easy to wipe away. All in all I think this machine will take pride of place in the kitchen and will be used daily, although maybe I’ll cut back on baking so much!

Took me a while to get used to the settings and not over process when on the chopping mode. The machine is very loud but it has a strong motor on it, a very robust build and best kept out on the worktop I would suggest.Cleaning the small jugs and blender blade is easy, the bigger jug is a bit more tricky with the stacked blades looking to buy a small brush to help with cleaning.I have enjoyed getting used to the blender and im sure there will be much more I can do with it.Would highly recommend this Ninja blender love what it can do.A few more receipes would have been useful too.

This thing is AWESOME! It cuts everything up like a beast. I make smoothies and some veggies are frozen and some I dethaw before I blend so a mix of frozen and soft all in the blender and due to this fact I blend it twice. First I throw my spices in, frozen veggies/fruits then dethawed veggies and it just figures it out and blends then stops, blends then stops, blends and stops :D because it feels the frozen stuff on the bottom so it stops for a second or two so the frozen stuff falls back down in the blender then repeats. Love it. But I noticed my spinach wasn't being cut up as much as I like so now I blend it 2 times and perfect. It is extremely easy to clean just spray it down. The blade section does come out for easy cleaning too. Compared to my old blender (20 yrs old but still looks new) this thing is so much quicker and user friendly. I am absolutely in love with it and I am not wasting a lot of my time like I did with the old blender. I can make 2.5 days of smoothies in 15 minutes ... 4 of those minutes is blending the rest is me getting everything I need out to throw in it. The size is great! With my old blender I had to make 2 blender size of it to get 2.5 days of smoothies now I just throw everything in and get it done in no time. Big difference from 1 hour+ to 15 minutes. Also it does have suction cups on the bottom of the blender so I can literally throw everything in it and walk away to prepare the next step in my routine for the smoothies. With my old blender I would throw a dish towel in front of the blender under the footers to stop it from moving forward which was annoying and just another step. This is just the best blender ever. Love it and would buy again and again so highly recommended. Just keep in mind if you are blending a mix of frozen and fresh/dethawed stuff .. make sure you throw in the frozen stuff first to blend properly or you'll have some frozen berries or whatever left at the top so frozen first and you'll be all good. Enjoy!

Powerful & Versatile w/Some Concerns

This is my first small kitchen appliance from Ninja, and I like that it’s an all-in-one device that can do the job of three “single function” appliances. It comes with a full-size 72oz blender pitcher, a food processing bowl with chopping blades, dough blades, and slicer/shredder disc, and a single-serve 24oz blender cup. All these vessels can be quickly installed via twist-to-lock into the same 1800 Watt motor base saving me space on the countertop and in my cabinets when storing. The base has a bright and colorful display in the push-to-start control dial for choosing settings for different modes. All these vessels can be quickly installed via twist-to-lock into the same 1800 Watt motor base saving me space on the countertop and in my cabinets when storing. The base has a bright and colorful display in the push-to-start control dial for choosing settings for different modes. Suction cups on its bottom keep the base firmly adhered to my work surface, even during high-speed blending, though make it a little tricky to move around often as I have unstick it first. The personal blender cup is perfect for making smoothies and pulverizing small quantities fruit and vegetables for salsa, chutneys, and dips. Just remember to add your liquids like milk and yogurt to the cup first then stack up your other ingredients in order of firmness: veggies, fruit, powders, nuts/seeds, then finally frozen ingredients and sweeteners on top, as these will end up closest to the blades when you flip the cup over for a more thorough and consistent blend. For the cup, you can use the BlendSense mode or Manual mode with Low, Medium, or High speed selections. I mostly used BlendSense which is a one-touch automated program that detects the texture and consistency of your ingredients in the first few seconds to determine speed, pattern, and timing for a smooth, creamy result. Blend times can vary from 30 seconds up to nearly 2 minutes with a countdown appearing on the display. At the end of the program, the machine simply stops; there is no audible beeping or additional notification. While this mode works pretty great, if you don’t fill the cup to the max line, some ingredients may splash to the top and not settle back down to get mixed in, so afterwards you may have to shake the cup and blend briefly a second time.Included is a pour top that also lets you use the 24oz cup as a sports bottle since it is leak-proof. When pouring or drinking from it, the lid folds flat and snaps in out of the way. The blades for this cup are integrated into its twist-off base, and while I liked that the threads are on the interior of the cup’s rim, rather than the exterior, they tend to trap small seeds and fibers and require a brush for cleaning. There are a few things you shouldn’t blend in the cup like hot foods or liquids and very hard ingredients without liquid e.g. uncooked rice and grains. You’ll also want to remove the blades and empty the cup or install the pour cap immediately after blending to prevent the buildup of pressure (or vacuum) which could damage the cup.For hot foods, you’ll want to use the large pitcher as it isn’t 100% sealed and can let out excess pressure and steam. The lid clicks and locks into place, so there’s no chance of it “popping off” during blending. However, it is not leak-proof from the pour spout, so care must be taken to not tip or tilt it with liquid inside. I found this vessel suitable for making silky smooth purees for soups, crushing ice for large batch frozen drinks, and even making nut milks and butters. The tall, six-blade spindle is removable, however, it must be installed before you put any food in the pitcher in order to seat correctly. Also, remember to remove the blades before pouring its contents out with the lid off or the blades will drop out!The sharp stacked blades are spaced somewhat close together though and scraping off sticky foods, purees, and batter can be a bit laborious. The lid for the pitcher has a pop-up handle that only folds flat when attached to the pitcher. This helps remind you to always store the lid on the pitcher so that the sharp blades and secured within. In additional to BlendSense, there is manual control available with 10 speeds. You can adjust the speed at any time during blending by turning the control dial, and its recommended to start at low-speed then ramp up as needed. In manual mode, the machine will shut off automatically after 60 seconds of cumulative run-time regardless of speed changes in order to avoid overheating the motor. There are also pre-sets for large/small chop, mince, and a pulse button for manually blending in short bursts. The food processor bowl of this machine is a welcome addition, as it eliminates the need for the standalone unit that I have. It has a 64oz capacity and can chop, mince, slice, and shred cheese or vegetables and even meat, as well as make up to 2 lbs of dough for bread, pastries, cookies, and even pasta with the dough blades. It makes short work of all these activities saving me a bunch of time and effort. The feed chute is a little narrow though, measuring just 2.75” L x 1.75” W.An additional mode for “disc” appears on the menu when using this attachment. However, I did have one issue when shredding a semi-soft block of cheese; as it reached the bottom of the feed chute some cheese balled up on top of the disc and tilted the blade high enough so that the blade struck the bottom of the plastic pusher resulting in several gouges in concentric arcs carved into the textured grip on the bottom of the pusher. I definitely ended up with a couple tiny plastic shards in my food, so that is one drawback of having a “loose” spindle in the vessel, since the disc blade may not always stay completely level and flat.I did try out the pizza roll recipe in the instruction manual, though I found that the dough was not ideal for a stuffed pastry as it was much too bready. The accompanying photo, while lovely, also did not match the actual description of how to fold and shape the pizza rolls and felt slightly misleading.Overall, the Ninja Detect Kitchen System is a versatile multi-purpose small kitchen appliance that combines a full-size and personal blender with a food processor to chop, shred, blend, puree, and pulverize. It’s space-saving and powerful and delivers smooth results with speed and consistency. Cleanup is quite simple and often I just add a bit of water and dish soap to the vessels and blend for 30 seconds to pre-wash. Just be wary that the disc blade has the potential to tilt and strike the pusher if too much food builds up on top of it, and be extra careful when cleaning or scraping food from the blade attachments as they are very sharp. All parts except the motor base are top-rack dishwasher safe as long as heated dry is not used.

Very Good Automatic Blender and Food Processor

This is a good all in one device that handles smoothies, blending, and food processing. There are a couple of things worth pointing out in the beginning. If you want to move it around or put it away when you are not using it, the strong suction cups can be a real nightmare.Excellent smoothies can be made with this. You add the ingredients for a single serving to the cup and start it using Blendsense. It will run until it detects that the smoothie is ready which it determines at the perfect time. You can even add frozen berries to the ingredients, and it still makes it perfect. It includes a closable lid that you can drink right out of the cup.The food processor is good but not great. It includes both a blade and a disc. The disc will allow you to shred or slice your ingredients and does a very good job of it. The blade cuts up anything into small pieces, basically what you would expect from a food processor. The biggest problem is the mouth is very small, so you must cut up your vegetables into small pieces to fit it into the mouth. It would be nice if you didn’t have to cut everything so small. The container for the food processor is very small so except to empty it multiple times when using it.The blender is pretty standard fare and allows you to manually run it as long as you want or set it to Blendsense to almost mash everything.Cleaning all the parts must be done by hand, and there are a lot of parts to clean when using it. The blades must also be washed by hand, which is not so easy. It would probably get a lot cleaner in the dishwasher. The best part of this machine is the Blendsense feature. It does a great job of determining when the function is done and does an excellent job of it. You don’t have to stand over it to turn it off either.Overall, it is a very good all in one device, but the food processor needs to be a lot bigger and get rid of the suction cups on the bottom.
