My air fryer broke and I was looking for a replacement. I found the ninja multicooker. I spent ages researching the different models and settled on the ninja foodi 9 in 1 6l multicooker. My first impressions were good. It feels well made and solid. The machine has a good few functions. I first tried pressure cooking a whole chicken. I pressure cooked for 25 minutes then air fried for a further 25 minutes. The chicken tasted amazing, it was falling off the bone, it was the best roast chicken I’ve ever had. I am extremely impressed with the pressure cook function. I also tried pressure cooking a gammon joint which tasted divine. The air fry function is great. The steam function is great fir rice, it tastes so fluffy and us perfectly cooked. It is a very versatile device. I’ve made soup, stews, pasta bakes, roasts, chips and even cooked pasta. Size is limited in it but I love this machine. I think it will always be a staple in my kitchen and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Live on my own and feared 350UK might be too big. But I always cook two meals at a time anyway and size is fine. A bit in awe when Ninja arrived….but decided to bite bullet straight away and use as many functions as possible in first couple of weeks. I’ve done everything from green chicken curry, jam, steak, chips, whole chicken, yoghurt and hard boiling eggs. Can’t fault it.It’s taken time to re-familiarise myself with pressure cooker noises and not be scared by hissing steam!! I’ve yet to trust my machine to bake a cake - a job for after Christmas.By the way some reviewers complained chips not crisp. I followed small print (wash off starch and dry - should be in bigger print so you don’t miss it) and also left skins on (my preference) and they were perfect!?So ... I’ve had my 6l Ninja Foodi for almost a year now. It rapidly became a kitchen tool I can’t do without. If need be I t could easily be your only form of cooking.Things I’ve learned in the past year - invest in an extra bowl and glass lid it’s well worth it. I’ve stopped slow cooking the casserole, removed pot used other pot to pressure cook potatoes then continued cooking the casserole. The glass lid is great for slow cooking and steaming.Don’t be afraid to experiment I found you can reduce cooking temp and time when baking or air frying. The only thing I’d do differently if I knew then what I know now is buy the biggest one you can afford. The 6L size does everything but there have been times I wished I had the bigger one.
This is the first Ninja we have bought. Cooks well and fast without heating up the whole kitchen. Love the pressure cooker function (always been a little bit nervous of pressure cooker)! Also used grill, airfry, bake. Yet to use slow cook or steam. Never going to use the dehydrate setting! Great for whole meals 2 people. Super easy to clean and use. The reason for only 4 stars is the recipe book that comes with it... Needs to be more comprehensive. Also when you are cooking a whole meat n 2 veg type dinner, it's hard to arrange the meat and veg on the rack (another pressure cooker type separater with handles would be a good idea). We're looking into the most appropriate accessory to buy for this! It is also a sizable 'gadget' so takes up space. Regardless of the ... MoreThis is the first Ninja we have bought. I have had this for a few months now - after seeing the larger model had been in daily use at my daughter's for over a year and still going strong, I decided to buy mine (she's like an endurance test bed for electrical gadgets. I also have a Sage Go Slo Pro, so I have doubled up on the slow and pressure cooking functions, which might seem overkill for someone who lives on their own, but it has changed my life for the better! The ability to do every part of the cooking process in one non stick easy clean pot has turned what sometimes felt like a huge effort for one meal, into a pleasure! Its so easy. Plus, I now batch cook 4 portions at a time, so always have meals ready in the freezer. With both of the pots I can put a stew or roast on in one, and do vegetables or roast potatoes in the other. Or even a main and dessert. Economical (no big oven to heat up), effortless (no huge pile of washing up, no baked on pans to clean). Its the easiest way to cook. This is the future of cooking.I cannot recommend this product highly enough. Its much more versatile than the Sage, so if you can only get one, get the Ninja.
The Intelligent IQ Mode is a dream to use, particularly if you are like me and like a really thick smoothie (or daquiri). It will start and stop as needed to ensure that in 60seconds you have a perfectly smooth smoothie. I can make the smoothies so thick they are able to be spooned out like gelato – don’t tell my kids they are healthy because they think it is gelato. The power smoothie bowl is revolutionary - this is literally a game changer. The ability to push down all of the chunky bits while blending is fantastic! As for the jug with dough attachment - I made pizza dough and it was also a game changer. Previously I’ve made all my dough in a thermocooker which is great but the dough is has never really stretchy for pizza – more like bread. I used the dough ... Previously I’ve made all my dough in a thermocooker which is great but the dough is has never really stretchy for pizza – more like bread. I used the dough setting from IQ twice and the result was perfect, stretchy pizza dough.Clean up is so easy. I love how you can remove the centre blade to easily get at the contents, and that everything (except the base) can go in the dishwasher. When adding liquids to the blend the lid has a taper to ensure the liquid goes where it is intended to go. The locking lid is also an impressive safety feature. The instructions are easy to read but even for those of us who are terrible at reading and following them the Ninja is a dream to use. Necessary information is clearly printed on the container so you don’t have to remember what is allowed to be filled to where. The booklet contains important tips like the best way to layer frozen ingredients and ice to ensure a smooth blend. The suction cups to the bench really hold it in place, I mean REALLY. I have put this thing through its paces and it has not moved from where I put it.Size – it’s a big blender but I wouldn’t say it’s huge. I find the square shape makes it sit neatly where you need it and it isn’t bulky or cumbersome like other blenders I’ve had. It definitely bigger than a personal blender – but you still have the ability to use the personal blender to make single serves! In fact – I love this feature as on a Friday afternoon I make smoothies for the kids followed by a daquiri for mum. The ability of this machine to crush ice is absolutely fantastic – just like a real slushy (sans all the sugar syrup).Overall this is the absolute best blender I have ever used.
I have owned my Ninja for over a year. I use it instead of my main oven. It is easy to use has replaced my slow cooker and pressure cooker, I can cook joints of meat and chicken to perfection using the combination of pressure cooking and air crisping.Bake in it, steam veg and fish, cook rice, pasta chips and roast potatoes. I mainly cook for 2 but often use it to batch cook delicious tasty meals to store in the freezer or share with neighbours . 100% Recommended purchase. Point to note you will have to spend some time getting to know the best ways of using your Ninja but there’s a lot of information freely available on the internet to help you , Once you master this fantastic piece of equipment your main cooker will become an extra storage cupboard and you will definitely save money
I found this Ninja Pot to be too much messing around. As it will not cook everything together, you must keep changing the lids and emptying the internal pot for each process. It also means that you need the main oven on as well to keep things warm. It's great at making perfect oven chips, or potato wedges but not much else. Two recipes I followed exactly (against my better judgement) from the accompanying booklet were mediocre. The Pot takes up too much space in the kitchen and as my cupboards are quite low, the lid will not open fully without moving it to the edge of the worktop (more a fault with the kitchen than the Pot). All in all, I can get much better results by using the oven and hob and taking about the same time. For these reasons I sent it back.
