Nice charging dock for extra switch controllers. It charges 2 sets at a time and doesn't take up much space. Also a great alternative if you play games for long hours and you need to swap out controllers if your battery dies. Definitely worth picking up if you're into long gaming sessions of fun.

Works great so far. I previously just charged the joycons on the switch itself which is docked 99% of the time inside my tv stand. This charger keeps me from accidentally undocking the switch when I go to get the joycons out. Added bonus is that I can charge all 4 of my joycons at once in case we want to play with visiting friends. It doesn’t take up too much space either.

This is my early review of the Joy Con Charging Dock by PowerA. This product is almost perfect for five stars but noticed one flaw with it. First with the good... it's great to charge four joy cons if you have them. With it, you now can charge up to 3 sets of joy cons (4 on the dock, 2 on the Switch). I didn't track of how long it actually takes to charge the joy cons, but when you plug them in before going to bed, they'll all be charged by the time you wake up. Additionally, they make it easy to identify which direction the controllers are to face and since they don't lock in place, you don't have to worry about pushing the small release button. The base has a nice weight to it, so it doesn't feel like a cheap plastic charger that will get pushed around by the cord ... MoreThis is my early review of the Joy Con Charging Dock by PowerA. The cord is not removable, however, they made it so you can wrap it around on the bottom for easy transport/storage.Now, my one and only gripe that I have faced with it is the charging portion. When your controllers are setup in the dock and you place the Switch into its own dock, the lights on the joy con charging dock turn off, flicker and then turn back on. Now, I'm sure it's during the time when the Switch is drawing most of the power and it causes the joy con charging dock to flicker, but when your joy cons are fully charged and it happens, the lights turn red! Does that mean, my joy cons aren't charged and the green light is just a misleading representation of its actually charge? Whatever the case may be, I'm not sure if this is a design flaw or just a mere coincidence with mine, but I do hope it's not a $30 table top decoration that flickers red/green Christmas lights.

Does it charge the controllers? Yes.Is it easy to use? Yes.Do the lights always work as they should? No. There are times that the controllers ARE charging, but the lights show green (which means "charged"). There are times the controllers are fully charged and should read "green," but they read "red" and show as "charging."Odd little dock. It works, but it'd be nice if it was consistent and had a bit better quality to it.
Hello everyone,Allow me to be your specs guy for this review. This charging station allows you to charge two sets of joycons at the same time and you can simply connext it to your switch that will supply plenty of power when the switch is off. After my testing i was able to determin that the charger can take 7 hours or more to charge your joycons while the switch is being used due to the switch taking voltage and amp hours from the OEM switch dock charger. However if the switch is off the joycons would charge within 3.5 to 4 hours from it being low on battery life. This power A joycon charger requires a power adapter that can supply 5 volts @ 500mAEach joycon charges at 5 volts @ 100mASo lwts day you get the Nintendo USB power brick that is 5 volts @ 1.5 ... MoreHello everyone,Allow me to be your specs guy for this review. This charging station allows you to charge two sets of joycons at the same time and you can simply connext it to your switch that will supply plenty of power when the switch is off. The charger lights turn RED next to each joycon to let you know its charging.2. The charger lights turn GREEN next to each joycon to let you know they are fully charged.THE BAD: The non detachable usb cable is only 2.5 feet long so the cable is very short. A 4 to 6 foot cable would have been better so you may need a usb female to male cable extender to be able to have this on a Entertainment Center and charge them with a power brick. This power A charger will pair Excellent with the Nintendo USB AC Adapter sold here at Bestbuy so make sure you get your self one.Hope my review helps you make the right choice in tour purchase. If you found my info helpful, be sure to SMASH that like /useful icon under this review, ill be checking in here and there.
Best Buy sadly only features this brand's accessories for the Nintendo Switch in store. It has a weak and outdated Micro-USB port that is defintely not up to snuff with powering thid unit. It has a nice compact design, but funtionally it only worked about 4 months after use. Green sill say a joycon is charged when it is not. Do not buy this.
I have a charging grip but I decided I needed a more efficient way to charger my joycons. There are 3 perks to this docking station.1. Charging 4 joycons at once.2. Space efficient/fewer cables3. The charging status light. It's sad that this is really the only charger that shows when the joycons are fully charged. You don't realize how important it is until you have it.It may seem like a luxury item, but if you use multiple joycons then this is a valuable accessory for your switch.
In terms of controller charging stations, for any system, over the years this is the best I've had. The compact size makes placing it easy without clogging the space. The indicator lights make it quite clear when the Joy-Cons are ready. If I had one complaint it's that it's allowed me to realize just which of my sets is starting to struggle holding a charge, which amusingly isn't the older set.Bought in store so no review on shipping condition.
This charger doubles as a storage device. A while back I went wild and bought all combinations of neon Joy-Cons. Keeping them charged and organized quickly became an issue. This charging dock takes care of both issues, and I can charge up 4 at a time on it. To keep the Joy-Cons from overcharging, I just unplug the dock (just in case) and keep it as a storage rack. 2 more Joy-Cons charge with the Switch, and the other 2 are stored with the Joy-Con Grip (not charging). In the attached image you can see the 4 Joy-cons with the dock sitting next to the TV on the TV stand. It doesn't take a lot of space and keeps things tidy so I'm happy.
Here’s what I like and don’t like. First off, it actually charges my joy cons with no problems. I’ve read too many reviews for other products that inevitably stop charging. That doesn’t seem like an issue with this particular charger, but will update if that changes.I also like the overall look of this charger. It looks like a genuine Nintendo product, right next to the Switch dock. Well done on presentation. The joycons easily slide in and out of the charger. Though I would prefer a “click,” I know I have a secure attachment when I see the color light up on the charger. My only complaint is the short USB cable. It really limits where you place it. Theoretically you can connect it to the Switch dock, but I’ve heard that’s not 100% reliable. So if you’re planning ... MoreHere’s what I like and don’t like.
