99% Hair Salon therapist’s poor recommendation

I met Hazel at 99% Orchard Central who recommended me Nioxin System 6 for Chemically treated hair progressive thinning in July for $59 per bottle of Cleanser Shampoo and Scalp Therapy Revitalising Conditioner each. I used for three months to-date on a daily basis. I noticed sparser hair volume and thinning strands. My hair is natural, short, not chemically treated. Her explanation was that System 2 produced dry and fizzy Asian hair. So she highly recommended System 6 for my hair type to improve volume and minimise hair loss. I feedback to her a while ago. Sadly, no service recovery nor product replacement option is available. My dermatologist recommended to stop using it to prevent further hair loss.

Blown Away

I have been using Nioxin products now for a couple of years. My hair was thinning, due to medical reasons & ageing. I started with Nioxin 5 and found it truly amazing with how it made my hair feel and look thicker. Went onto Nioxin 6 as a trial after having it recommended and it has totally blown me away with the thickness of my hair now. I have had lots of comments from friends and family about how good my hair is looking. Thank you Nioxin products.

Nioxin System 6 Hair Starter Kit for Chemically Treated Hair with Progressed Thinning

After 20 years of bleaching my hair, every time I wash my hair, several hairs come out every time I brush it.I thought this would work as a hairdresser recommended it, but unfortunately, after a month of using every other day and no heat or styling products I'm still having lots of hair coming out every time I brush it. Can't recommend it to bleached blonde girls as it hasn't worked for me. Also I've no health problems and have a healthy lifestyle along with regular taking skin, hair & nails vitamins.

Severe Pregnancy Hair Loss

I haven’t been using this long enough to comment fully…butttttt… I suffered with hair loss whilst I was pregnant, not the lovely thick lushious locks most women experience. Clumps would fall out and it broke me. I have very thick hair and a lot of it so most people tell me ‘you look fine’ as I still have a lot of hair but when straightened it’s very patchy on the ends (length wise) where I have lost lots of hair. I’m about a month in, I have some hair growth but it’s about an inch long so probably not from this product but from supplements I’m taking. As a shampoo and conditioner, I actually like it. It smells lovely, tea tree/pepperminty and leaves your scalp feeling very clean. You need to leave the conditioner on for a while else your hair will feel a bit tacky. if you want lushious softness add a 2nd conditioner. The scalp mouse feels horrible but it’s only on the roots. Makes them a bit crunchy lol. I’ll comment again after 3 months to update if I have good regrowth.

Transformed my hair

I was sceptical about ordering this because so many products don’t live up to their claims. However I was pleasantly surprised because this does exactly what it says. I have only used it once and already it has made such a massive difference to my fine thin hair. It’s more structured and fuller and I’ve already received a compliment! I hope to see continued improvement and will definitely be ordering more.

Useful trial kit

I have thin but frizzy / curly highlighted hair. It is a real battle to find something that cleanses well (without being too harsh), and conditions without leaving my hair limp yet still frizzy. I love this System 6 shampoo and conditioner. They have a lovely menthol fragrance, the conditioner gives a wonderful tingling feeling to the scalp, and leaves my hair feeling soft and smooth without being flat and greasy, a real challenge for my hair type. I very much dislike the System 6 leave-in treatment; it made my hair clump into stiff bundles, made it look even thinner. I was so disappointed, will definitely not buy this again. I am a 67 year old woman Sith significant hair loss in the last 3 or 4 years. I always had really thick hair but that is not the case anymore. The products I purchased do smell nice. As far as it is on my hair, not so good. My hair was always shiny and pretty, unfortunately the last few years it has really thinned to the point where I had to try something. A friend recommended I try Nixion. My biggest complaint is that my hair is now like straw. After the first shampoo it is bad after the second it is like straw you would feed to an animal. I can't get a comb or brush through it without damaging a lot more of my hair (which presently isn't something I have too much of). I was able to get it dried and it did feel fuller but I can't lose the amount of hair I lost every time I wash my hair. Next I tried washing it with a moisturizing shampoo for the first wash, then I used Nioxin shampoo for the second wash, next I try rubbing the Nioxin conditioner in trying to get to roots, which is really hard because my hair is so brittleand knotted from the shampoo, then I use Kerenique conditioner so I can try to get acomb through it. Lastly, I do try spraying the mist leave in conditioner in, which is anything but conditioning, through my hair but it is still really brittle. The product is rather expensive. I have now used it seven times and too expensive to just discard. I really would have liked to give it a chance to grow new hair but think I am too afraid of damaging what I have left. I was really excited to try this product but just not what I expected. I wish someone from the company could get back to me to tell me what to do.

Very good products

This system does appear to promote hair growth. I have only been using it about 3 weeks, however, I have used the No. 4 in past when I just had coloured hair & had hair loss due to stress, menopause, etc.& it really worked. The scalp treatment has a drying texture, but OK when brushed through & works as a good root lifter. CHECK which system you need before buying & it’s good that Nioxin doe trial packs like this one
