It's really great that you can re-charge this torch. Three different brightness settings by simply holding down the 'Mode' button. It's also the On/Off switch. You can create a strobe effect for personal defense. The strobe WILL hurt your eyes! Don't look at it for fun. Durable, has a pocket clip, and lightweight. The brightest beam is AWESOME. It's absolutely the brightest torch you ever owned, hands down. Buy this torch.

This flashlight is nice and lightweight. Excellent for walking/jogging with. I like the beam pattern with the highest intensity in the middle and a (still fairly bright) ring around that.I also like the quick-access 1 lumen mode. This is really good around the house (e.g. getting up to grab a glass of water at night without turning the lights on).I haven't been in a situation where I'd need to use the strobe/SOS/location beacon modes, but they seemed to work well when I tested them.I've used this light with both the 21700 cell it comes with and some 18650 cells I've got. The 21700 cell powers the light for a noticeably longer time than my 18650s do, though I've still gotten 20 minutes on high.

The MH10 is a good light, bright, rugged and compact. However the mode switch is too easy to actuate when pocket carrying. The charging port cover also comes off too easily. If not being carried in pocket these things probably wouldn't be an issue.

I have used this flashlight in my night photography and found it to be very useful. Low beam is just right for checking and resetting camera settings while the bright and extra bright settings are good to light the way in rough terrains. Battery life has also been good meaning that I can finish a night's shoot without changing batteries or recharging one.
This is the Nitecore MH10, and it's an excellent light. It has a side switch, 4 brightness modes plus 3 strobe modes. One of the 3 strobe modes is a 'beacon' which flashes a bright strobe about once per every 1/5 seconds - really useful as a emergency tool to help rescuers find you. The light remembers what brightness level you had it in and comes on in that level (very good). Comes with high quality, Nitecore removable rechargeable battery which has a overcharge/overdischarge protection circuit (essential). Comes with pocket clip, cord, spare rings, and a nylon case. All you need to buy is a USB adapter for your charging power source (about $5- and you can get them everywhere). I recommend using AC and an adapter for these as it will take several hours to recharge. ... MoreThis is the Nitecore MH10, and it's an excellent light. I recommend using AC and an adapter for these as it will take several hours to recharge. The 18650 batteries hold a charge and last for a long time between charges. If you haven't used them, you will be pleasantly amazed. Read up on Lithium Ion batteries and use only protected cells & smart chargers if you get into using this type of battery. Lithium Ion can be unsafe if mishandled. Learn and use common sense and you should be fine. Some other Nitecore lights in the same class include the P12 and EC20 (you have to remove the batteries and charge them in an external charger), and the MH12 which is an in-light rechargeable version of the P12 like this MH10 is sort of an in-light rechargeable version of the EC20 (this has more power than the EC20, but not much). You will not go wrong with Nitecore. I have not had to collect on their warranty. I can see it being problematic as they are in China, so be aware of that. None of their products I own have failed. None.
I had my doubts due to the size of the torch, but things ain't what they used to be. The technology developments means this small yet powerful torch not only has three levels of output and good range, it also has a strobe, SOS and pulse option. A rather amazing little torch.
I use a flashlight everyday for my inspection business. This flashlight was not able to make it through one day of work on a full charge! For some reason the car charger never worked and I was only able to charge at home. After using for about 45 days the brightest setting would no longer work. My $20 Autozone light is far superior to this expensive light. I have not tried to redeem the warranty yet, but have little confidence in that after seeing this light is made and manufactured in China.
The throw of the beam is larger than my 4sevens light. I really like the user interface. Quick double click and you are in strobe. The light is bright and lights the area very well. I am having a hard time adapting to the front barrel switch because I have used tail switches for so long. The switch is hard to distinguish from the USB charging port rubber cover so I typically have to look at the light to find the switch. Very pleased with it and would recommend the light. Only give it a good rating because the switch needs some improvement to allow it to be located without looking at it.
After some research, I bought 2 of these for Christmas present this year. I wanted to make sure I was giving a quality gift and tested out the light when I received them.WOW! This thing is bright! For most tasks the intermediate setting is plenty bright. When you want to light up the night, the full power setting gets the job done. Especially for the size. Also the integrated charging port makes this light a economical choice over burning through CR-123A
It takes a little getting used to. It lights up on the dimmest setting out of the box. I usually do not like lights with multiple settings for brightness but this one is great. Holding down the power button changes brightness and it stays set to the last brightness you used. I like this a lot better than clicking through every mode to find the brightness every time you use it, which is what cheaper flashlights have. It comes with multiple options for carrying and the case is great. I only tend to lose a flashlight when i don't have a case for it. It comes with a rechargeable 18650 and a USB which is great fro charging on the go. I just keep extra 18650 batteries handy. You won't regret this purchase.
