There are many good flashlights to choose from, but after a long search I've found the Nitecore E4K to be close to my ideal flashlight.- A single button to control everything! So much preferred to a two-button approach (tail button / side button).- 4400 Lumens, both floody and throwy! A perfect balance.- Momentary access to turbo. This is how turbo should be used, in my opinion, it is there anytime you need it for just as long as you need it.- The size, form factor are just right.- The ultralow is perfect given the floody nature of the light. And the turbo is impressively powerful.- The battery level indicators are top notch, both a detailed readout and a quick at-a-glance readout.- Charging the battery is easy with the included USB port on the ... This little flashlight is incredible. It’s very bright in turbo mode naturally, but even on medium or high it is quite bright. The beam is spread out nicely, giving a plenty wide swath of light. As a comparison, the MH12S flashlight has a much more focused beam, allowing me to see to the front of 53ft freight trailers if I need to, even with less than half the lumens of this light. This light just gives a much more broad illumination. As for the quality, it is top shelf, period. Enough said.EDIT: the end that says HOT (the lens end of course) is no joke. Something inadvertently turned the light on while in my backpack, it got hot enough to melt the holster! HAHA. This thing may be useful to start a campfire LOL.Edit 2: after a year and a half, ... I sent it in to them and they are replacing it with a new one! Awesome customer service! Thanks Nitecore store!

Very nice flashlight at the perfect size I was needing. I do a lot of woods hiking at night with a female friend. I was looking for a light that had multiple brightness settings easy to access, small enough to carry in any pocket, long run times on the lower settings to watch our step on the trails but still had an extremely bright turbo setting to buy some reaction time in a defensive situation if needed or taking a quick look far down the trail. Very good light for checking out those night noises in the backyard too.E4K along with a spare battery is perfect for my needs.

This is a very great product. It does get hot in higher modes but wearing a pair of gloves solves the problem. I'm very happy with my other Nitecore flashlights, chargers and their great selection of 18650 and 21700 batteries. Great prices and service. I prefer doing business directly with the manufacturer, rather than Amazon or other sellers of Nitecore.
This little light packs a punch with how incredibly bright it is. Simple one button use and it’s compact size makes it a perfect light for EDC or for law enforcement use. Equal to the p20xi that I carry on duty. Perfect backup and easy to carry. If you don’t get a tactical light, this a great alternative. Impressive for it’s small size.
This little guy rocks ! It fits nicely in pants pocket, light weight, and bright. The user interface is typical of many of these type of flashlights, easy to get to know once you have 'played with it' a while. What's outstanding is the beam pattern that comes from the 4 LEDs. It's broad and very smooth, no hot spots great for close-range inspections. The instant press and release turbo mode from any brightness setting is handy. also. This is an excellent short-throw light, just don't accidently leave it on high or turbo close to anything that can melt, it gets HOT !!!
I come from a time where more D cells equaled better flashlight. The E4k is in a league of its own. Bought two to take to Kenya on a trip. Performed beyond our needs. Great product. Only draw back was my lady found the multifunction button a little confusing at 1st.
This is my second E4K. I bought this one as a present. I can't believe how long the battery lasts in these things. After the initial charge I didn't charge it again for a year and I used it for a few short trail walks and around the house and played with the turbo button to show it off. People can't believe how bright this little light gets.
I believe the E4K is a invaluable self defense tool.I have my set to it’s brightest setting and in my handWhen walking alone at night. One press to turn on a blinding light, then press and hold the button to activate the strobe function. The quality and materials are top notch. Shipping wasFast and the it’s the 5th Nitecore flashlight I have purchased.Great job to all of the Nitecore staffBest regardsBill scalio
I'm happy with this so far.Pros (given the way I use it):- big enough to find by feel in the dark- low is low enough that I don't wake up others- floody beam pattern- bright enough to scan backyard for intrudersCons (given the way I use it):- Have to remove battery to charge it. Much prefer an external jack- Low could be even lower (e.g. 5 lumens)- Prefer separate mode and on/off switches. Always concerned that single multiswitch will result in an accidental mode select under stress- Rather the on/off was on the tail
