Nitecore E4K Torch

There are many good flashlights to choose from, but after a long search I've found the Nitecore E4K to be close to my ideal flashlight.- A single button to control everything! So much preferred to a two-button approach (tail button / side button).- 4400 Lumens, both floody and throwy! A perfect balance.- Momentary access to turbo. This is how turbo should be used, in my opinion, it is there anytime you need it for just as long as you need it.- The size, form factor are just right.- The ultralow is perfect given the floody nature of the light. It is not perfect, but given a single button controls everything, it does a magnificent job.- It can tailstand!

This little flashlight is incredible. It’s very bright in turbo mode naturally, but even on medium or high it is quite bright. The beam is spread out nicely, giving a plenty wide swath of light. As a comparison, the MH12S flashlight has a much more focused beam, allowing me to see to the front of 53ft freight trailers if I need to, even with less than half the lumens of this light. This light just gives a much more broad illumination.As for the quality, it is top shelf, period. Enough said.EDIT: the end that says HOT (the lens end of course) is no joke. Something inadvertently turned the light on while in my backpack, it got hot enough to melt the holster! HAHA. Very nice flashlight at the perfect size I was needing. I do a lot of woods hiking at night with a female friend. I was looking for a light that had multiple brightness settings easy to access, small enough to carry in any pocket, long run times on the lower settings to watch our step on the trails but still had an extremely bright turbo setting to buy some reaction time in a defensive situation if needed or taking a quick look far down the trail. Very good light for checking out those night noises in the backyard too.E4K along with a spare battery is perfect for my needs.
