The unspectacular casing of this ultra-light head lamp has a lot to offer. Good light is being made by the integrated Li-Ion battery which is rechargeable via micro USB connector. The casing made of polycarbonate is vertically adjustable by 52° and has a one-switch control and a battery indicator.

I just bought my forth one of these as a gift to a good friend. I have had two of them for a year or so and couldnt imagine using any other headlamp now. Im a taxidermist and have one on my head for hours at a time during the day and I hardly realize its there. It is very light and lasts for hours on the medium setting which is what I use because the high is too bright for what I need. I have two in my studio so one can always be charging while Im using the other one. I particularly like that when you want to turn it off after its been on for a minute it goes off and you dont have a strobe etc to have to go through to stop it. The cover over the on switch is also nice so it doesnt get accidentally turned on in a pocket.

Very light. Comforable and stable on my head. The lowest 1 lumen setting is plenty for middle of the night if you need to see without waking others. Middle and high are very good for walking at night. Turbo is quite bright for short use. The lockout is a plastic tab on the holder that physically blocks the power button so it cant turn on by accident and drain batteries. Great for the price, very simple to operate.

I bought this to lighten up my backpack base weight on long distance trips. I've used it 3 days so far and am very pleased with its performance. Its very light weight which is great. Battery life is as good or better than comparable units. Headband is comfortable. One thing I really notice is this light is much nicer to wear long term or run with compared to a 3-4oz unit. The light weight makes this lamp much more comfortable after wearing it a couple or more hours.I have not had it long enough to comment on long term reliability, but have been satisfied with other Nitecore products and expect the same here!

Headlamp performs as expected. Has minimal features but as many features as I require. My favorite is the button cover which stops the light from being accidentally turned on while in my pack. I use it mostly for camp life and not for night hiking, for camp it works great. Charges at an acceptable pace and love that I dont need to carry extra batteries. I have not actually tested the battery life so would be unable to speak to that. I was only slightly confused about what color I would be getting as the picture on the webpage screen and the check out screen were labeled the same but with different colors. I dont really care about color so that was a non issue for me. All in all it's perfect for an extended lightweight backpacking trip.
Great value. Very comfortable to wear. Easy adjustable band. Love the adjustable light positions. Very solid. Convenient USB adapter to charge. Also duel purpose since I will be able to use it in my tent as a light when needed. Great light run time. Highly recommend on your hikes.
(6 Year Review)This is the best headlamp I have ever owned. it's rechargeable and recharges quickly.Low, medium, High and Super High. Extremely lightweight and compact. Very comfortable stretch material headband. It's easy to forget it's on your head when turned off. Has safety feature to keep the light from turning on unexpected. Old school style USB charging cable with mine that is 6+ years old
This lightweight headlamp works perfectly for my wife’s early morning runs. On high it lasts 6 hours and puts out more than enough light for her safety. We paired this with the small beacon light (NU005?) and are quite happy.
Nitecore continues to be progressive with innovation and technology. They are by far the best lighting company on the planet. The NU20 is a tiny but powerful headlight with a long lasting built in battery. Perfect for a light weight 360 lumen headlamp. If you need more then the HC60/65 is the best headlight on the market coming from a 25 year headlamp user’s experience and research.
I bought this headlamp after watching a YouTube video by an ultra-light backpacker. I have been looking for a high-performance, rechargeable headlamp for a while. This exceeded my expectations on my recent backpacking trip! It charges fast and has an indicator light that goes from red to green when it is ready to go. There is a silicone strip on the strap by the forehead to keep it in place, so I would feel good using it for running or climbing. The lamp illuminates at 1 lumen when you turn it on which is a feature more lamps should have. Also, when I accidentally selected the wrong shipping address in PayPal, customer service contacted me back promptly to revise the address.Overall, I would refer a friend to Nitecore for any lighting needs!
Can’t believe the light weight. Just received it yesterday so haven’t had a chance to use for extended time periods. The cover over the on off switch is an ingenious design. Upon finding dead batteries on other headlamps at the time of need makes this an important feature. Haven’t seen any headlamp of this low weight for the quality and features. This will be in my pack for any future adventures.
