Nitecore NU43 1400 Lumens Rechargeable Headlamp

Performance:just ran for 4 hrs straight with the high beam setting, battery indicator reads 1 blue dotQuality:i will edit this after my run on saturdaySuitability:its easy to wear over my bullcap. if without cap, it has a rubber along the strap that prevents slippage.Its a good product for runners/mountaineers who love to stroll/jog during the nightThe turbo setting - brightest light will revert to previous mode after 10 or 15 secondsI love the high beam mode, its brightness is like that for a motorcycle.

A bargain at twice the price.

Excellent field of illumination, ample brightness and amazing runtime without a heavy battery pack. Simple, intuitive function and the remaining power gauge is awesome. If you find the mount hard just loosen the headband strap, it doesn't need to be tight. This light compares favorably to competitor lights in the $100 - $200 range. At it's own price point it trounces the competition. After a session of use that would depleted my other headlights (from popular competitor brands) I checked the remaining power and the NU43 still read full!

All night light

I bought the Nitecore 43 because of the long, rechargeable battery life and fair price and planned to use it on my first 100 mile race. It did not disappoint. I only needed to use the low setting for most of the night, with some of the medium setting at times. When morning came I still had 3/4 of the battery life left! This headlamp provides a lot of usable light for very little energy cost. Great headlamp!

Great Work Light

I've been using various headlamps for a few years. As my eyes get older it's really handy to have a little extra light if I'm looking in a dark corner of a closet or doing some work on my boat or around the house. The NU43 has the perfect beam and fantastic battery life. It far surpasses any other light that I have. I don't even want to use any of the other lights now that I have the NU43. I also love the ability to adjust the beam without the typical hinge at the bottom of the light. The band on the NU43 is the most comfortable and stays put. Love, this light! LOVE IT

A great addition to my "NITECORE collection." What's great about it? It's light and not uncomfortable to wear for extended periods. That in itself is impressive as this light carries a built-in 18650. As such, battery life is respectable. Brightness is also more than adequate. The detent for adjusting the light vertically is a big plus if you're constantly looking to illuminate the same field of vision. What could use a little nudge? The strap doesn't seem to stay tensioned for long. Not a big deal as I've learned how to quick-adjust it. But it shouldn't loosen so easily. And a wish. That you could turn it on and have it land on the last brightness. Neither are a deal-breaker. If I wear this one out I'd buy the same model again in a heartbeat. I bought this to use as a general purpose headlamp and for a high-performance light (bright + long battery life) for short-distance backpacking (not high MPD). I have other lights for road running, UL b-packing.)WHAT I LIKE:- Nice headband, improved.- Is light weight for a 16650.- Very intuitive controls.- Red light is plenty bright for inside tent or around camp.- The light is super powerful, very bright, and super nice beam spread with dual LEDs. Best combo of throw + spread I've ever seen. You can see way ahead of you while still clearly seeing your feet.WHAT COULD BE IMPROVED..- Replaceable battery, if only for sales purposes.- I'd strengthen the ratcheting tilt feature by about 3x. It's okay as-is, but just too easy to change. Nitecore NU43

Excellent headlamp for metal detecting! I really appreciate being able to rotate this headlamp along with all the selections of light settings. It's sea turtle season here in Florida so the red light is prefect not to disrupt them but still bright enough to be effective on my end.The NU43 is also very comfortable. I definitely recommend it!
