Nivea Men Moisturising Shaving Gel 200ml

Excellent product. I've tried using the shave balm from Dollar Shave Club (the butter stuff that smells like macadamia nuts), but balms, butters, oils, or whatever are never comfortable enough, and you end up having to use a lot of it. Before this, I also used Nivea foam, but it seems maybe they've discontinued that in favor of this gel, which is nearly the same thing in terms of packaging and general idea. The gel is excellent. It comes out as a blue dollop that, when applied, rapidly expands into a thick foam. Oddly, it has a slight almost watermelon smell to it; whether this is intentional or not, I can't say, but it's not overpowering or anything. While using this product I found it went on great, smelled good and did what it needed to. I did not run into any problems with nicks or cuts while using it so it did a good job with protecting my skin but I didn't really notice a cooling aspect to it like it stated. I would use it again but would not go out of my way to find this particular one. #freeproduct

can't say enough about how much this shaving gel has improved my morning shave. I get a smoother and closer shave with this gel than with any of the many shaving creams and gels I've used over the years. It's quite amazing. The only drawback I have to mention is that it's rather difficult to control the amount of gel released through the nozzle. That's something that could be improved.

Crystal clear

I have tried this product as it is described, for body shaving. The results are pretty much as you would expect. Prior to using this product, I would simply use soap or shower gel for shaving non sensitive areas of the body. This could often leave a rash and seemed to wear away at razor blades quickly. Great Shave Stupid Container

Thanks so much for designing what is one of the best shaving jails on the market I’m experiencing great comfort and clean shaves if and when I can get into the product. It took me minutes to figure out how to apply pressure to the very awkwardly design top… Completely useless if used in the shower. You can’t get leverage to dispense an appropriate amount of gel. Even when used outside of the shower, it’s a chore to deliver without using both hands. I so often end up with too much gel. Regg Harris

Great product

Having found a can of this product in my bathroom closet drawer (which I forgot about) I used it after running out of my usual Edge shave cream. Wow! What a pleasant surprise. Great product. Who knew! Will not go back to the other guys product ever again.

Nivea Men Body Shaving Gel

I have always been a fan of keeping myself trimmed and tidy. Years before the male grooming label it was given. Normally I would use a shaving foam in the shower so I thought I would give the new Nivea anti irritation body shaving gel a try. Following the instructions on the tube I applied directly onto wet skin. My first thoughts were it's consistency and how thick it felt on application but the reason for this soon became apparent. Shaving foam would be displaced by splashes from the shower whereas this stuff clung to my skin. Throughout the careful process of shaving some pretty precious areas, the gel provided a smooth shaving surface which stayed intact despite being splashed by the shower. My skin as well as feeling protected also felt clean once the remainder of the gel was washed off and as promised there wasn't any irritation. This body shave gel Is ideal for those hard to reach parts in the shower. A photo of the final product in this case would be totally innapropriate and probably get me in trouble but I can confirm I was really happy with the results. The only minor point I can give and hence only 4 stars is the smell. It smells too much like an aloe Vera aftersun !

Nivea Men Moisturising Shaving Gel

This gel has a pleasant fragrance. It creates a foam with a convenient texture which is easy to apply to the skin. It allows the razor to glide smoothly over the skin. When finished, the residue is easily rinsed away. The skin is left neither too dry nor too greasy after shaving. The gel is pumped smoothly from the container and only a small amount is required for each shave. The only small complaint I would make is that it is expressed from the container a little to quickly. As such a small amount is needed, it can initially be quite difficult to press the applicator for a short enough burst to produce just the required amount. This can lead to wastage. Slowing the speed of expression would allow greater control, resulting in less wastage.

I use the gilette double edged razor and brush. I have tried many shaving creams and gels/foams, many of which have been expensive and cheap. I have very fast growing thick facial hair and sensitive skin. Also I only shave 2-3 times per week. Despite this, this stuff is by far the best for least razor burn and irritation. Lathers well with a shaving brush with a little water and takes off hair efficiently for a clean shave without having to keep going back over and reapply. Overall, this works as well or better for me than much more expensive products. As well as this i also like the simplistic designg, which really does stand out and clearly labels its features and what skin type it is designed for. sensitive cooling shave gel

Several months ago I purchased this product at Target when two products were bundled at a discount price, which I thought, was a good deal. I like the product quality. One suggestion to the Nivea Product Design team: when I press/squeeze the top corner to let the gel come through, it was very difficult to control the necessary amount for use. You may want to re-design the press/squeeze design. Thank you.
