As someone with curly hair and a long-time battle with stubborn dandruff, I must say that Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo has been a game-changer for addressing my dandruff issues. The results in combating flakes and itchiness have been impressive, which is why I'm giving it four stars. This shampoo's active ingredient, ketoconazole, has definitely made a significant difference in reducing dandruff and soothing my scalp. Within just a few uses, I noticed a noticeable improvement in the amount of dandruff present, and the itchiness subsided considerably. However, as much as I appreciate Nizoral's anti-dandruff properties, I have to be cautious with its impact on my curly hair. The formula can be slightly drying, especially if used too often. Overall, Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo is an effective solution for dandruff, and I would highly recommend it to those dealing with persistent flakes and irritation. If you have curly hair like me, just remember to balance its use with proper conditioning to keep your curls happy and healthy.

I started getting dandruff in the recent year. I’ve never had dandruff before and my hair stylist advised me to stop using dry shampoo. I stopped using dry shampoo for the last 6-7 months or so and I’m still getting dandruff. I have an extremely oily scalp. My hair will by oily within 24 hours of watching it in case that makes a difference. Anyway, I bought this shampoo and it didn’t do anything for my dandruff. If anything, it made the flakes bigger. I went through one entire bottle and gave up. In addition to this not working for me, it made my hair extremely dry and doesn’t smell great. It’s not a bad smell but it’s definitely bland.

This shampoo was recommended by my dermatologist for severe psoriasis on my scalp. I was pleasantly surprised and have used it off and on for over 15 years. It has ketoconazole, which makes it different from other over-the-counter dandruff shampoos. It also smells really good for a medicated shampoo. I use it when I have a flareup. And I use it for about a week to control the symptoms, then use it every other shampoo. I have naturally curly hair that is really hard to control and manage and the is sensitive enough that it doesn’t damage my hair and my hair actually looks great when I use it. It is definitely worth the price if you suffer from eczema, psoriasis, or embarrassing dandruff.

First, I want to say I’ve never written a review before this would be my first one ever. I posted pictures so you could see the before and after of how bad my scalp was and I’m very surprised about how well this product worked. I’ve been using it for about a month now and I’m an every 2-3 day hair washer. I have wavy/curly hair and I read through many reviews before deciding on purchasing this because I was apprehensive about spending this much money on shampoo if it wasn’t going to work. I’m very happy with it and I seen people complaining about the smell but in my opinion, I think that it’s not that bad. I’d compare it to using Irish spring soap. I only use it to wash my scalp because I didn’t want to dry my hair out.
I’ve only struggled with occasional dandruff throughout my life. However, a few years ago I noticed this thick, scab like patch. Each time I peeled the scab away, it would come back. Nothing I would do made it go away and I wasn’t certain what it was. Over the years they started multiplying in different areas and got worse recently. I heard good things about this shampoo so decided to give it a shot. I have now used it twice and it’s definitely improved my condition. The scab like spots are decreasing in size. The shampoo has also helped with any associated itchiness. Would definitely recommend for dandruff or stubborn problem areas!
I’ve struggled with dandruff and really bad itching my entire life. There were times my scalp would itch so bad that I would scratch it raw just to try and make it stop bothering me. I’m so happy that I tried this product on a wim because it’s really made a huge difference for me. I use it once every few days and it’s gotten my dandruff under control; it also has made the itching a lot better. This has personally been a life saver for me. The smell of it doesn’t bother me but if you’re sensitive to medical smells I’d be careful. It’s expensive but you don’t have to use it everyday, so the bottle lasts for quite a while. I highly recommend it if you’re struggling with dandruff/itchy scalp and nothing else has worked for you.
For the last 4 years I’d been dealing with a ridiculously itchy scalp. My scalp would flare and it would become red and inflamed. I would also get bumps throughout my head. I’ve tried everything, all the shampoos you could think of (the tar shampoo was only a 2 day trial bc i just couldn’t handle the scent) and nothing would help. I took advise from people telling me i needed to “train” my hair. I went from washing my hair daily to only washing twice a week. This year i started noticing that the longer i went in between washes, the worse the itch and inflammation became. I started researching more and figured out that dandruff is usually NOT a sign of dry scalp but actually occurs due to an oily scalp. This year i started noticing that the longer i went in between washes, the worse the itch and inflammation became. I started researching more and figured out that dandruff is usually NOT a sign of dry scalp but actually occurs due to an oily scalp. I started washing my hair every other day and realizes that it helped my scalp a little but the inflammation and red bumps would not disappear. My doctor recommended i try this shampoo and in all honesty i almost didn’t try it out bc i was so over these drug store shampoos that didn’t seem to help. I’m so glad i picked it up because it was instant relief! I literally used this once and my scalp immediately felt better. I’ve now been using this for a month and a half and i will never try anything else! FYI: I use this directly on my scalp. I put some on my fingertips and massage my scalp. I try to let it sit for 3 minutes before i rinse it off. I use a different shampoo for the ends of my hair. I never tried this on my entire hair so I’m not sure how it makes your actual hair feel once it dries but i will say that my scalp feels better than ever. I don’t have any more red itchy inflamed bumps on my scalp. After 4 long years my scalp finally feels healthy again!
I recently purchased Nizoral's 7 fl oz Anti-Dandruff Shampoo and have been pleasantly surprised by the results. I've seen a noticeable reduction in flakes and itchiness since I started using it.In conclusion, Nizoral has been a great addition to my hair care routine. It's a product that delivers on its promises and provides relief from dandruff while keeping my hair looking and feeling good. Definitely a recommend for anyone battling with dandruff issues!
I have curly thick hair and have been struggling with an itchy dandruff scalp for a couple of years now. I suffer from eczema but I only get it on my body certain times of the year but never had an issue with my scalp over the past couple of years I’ve noticed that my scalp would get itchy and full of dandruff a day after I would wash it. I tried so many alternatives, green tea rinse, acv rinse, different oils, expensive shampoos, reasonably priced shampoos, scalp deep conditioners, changed my styling products, just whatever I could and nothing worked. I finally gave this shampoo a try and when I first tried it it did not work. My scalp was still itchy the next day and the dandruff came back like it never left. I finally gave this shampoo a try and when I first tried it it did not work. My scalp was still itchy the next day and the dandruff came back like it never left. However I got a few suggestions and they have seemed to help. First off when I wash my hair, shampoo it and leave it on for like 30 minutes. So I usually shampoo my hair in the sink 30 minutes before I just into the shower. So I won’t be tempted to rinse it. And secondly wash your hair at least twice a week. As a natural girly I wash and style my hair once a week but unfortunately to see results you have to at least wash it twice a week. And trust me it would suck because my curls would still look nice and it felt like a waste of expensive hair products. But let me tell you I have seen real results after doing this. It’s been about a month and my scalp feels so clean and looks clean. This week I didn’t have time to wash my hair so I pushed it to 5 days and my scalp was so clean, not a dandruff in sight. Also since I’m working on my scalp I’ve been using lighter hair products (and cheaper products) so when I wash it out I don’t feel so bad about it. My curls aren’t as defined as I would like them to be but I’m trying to focus at one thing at a time lol. Also for girls with curly/thick hair make sure to deep condition your hair after, it can be really drying for our hair so make sure you do a good deep condition nothing too fancy. Overall I totally recommend it.
so i’ve struggled with dandruff for a WHILE. like to the point that if i got braids done, my braids would have dandruff forming by the end of the week. i had found out about this shampoo thanks to tiktok and saw many good reviews so i bought it. i have 4c, thick, corse hair and this shampoo honestly didn’t do anything for my dandruff at all. i recently purchased it again thinking that maybe i wasn’t apply enough the first time or i was applying it wrong, but I wasn’t. this does give you some temporary relief for maybe up to a week, but for me i found my hair being itchy again not long after using this product. also, it is VERY stripping idk if i’m the only one who noticed that? my hair felt like literal straw after i finished washing my hair with this. overall won’t ... Moreso i’ve struggled with dandruff for a WHILE. like to the point that if i got braids done, my braids would have dandruff forming by the end of the week. i had found out about this shampoo thanks to tiktok and saw many good reviews so i bought it. i have 4c, thick, corse hair and this shampoo honestly didn’t do anything for my dandruff at all. i recently purchased it again thinking that maybe i wasn’t apply enough the first time or i was applying it wrong, but I wasn’t. this does give you some temporary relief for maybe up to a week, but for me i found my hair being itchy again not long after using this product. also, it is VERY stripping idk if i’m the only one who noticed that? my hair felt like literal straw after i finished washing my hair with this. overall won’t be purchasing it again and i wouldn’t recommend this to my 4c beautiful women.
