I have owned a GB70 for 4 yearsI don't keep this booster at home. At the time, they were always needing their car boosted and I was always forgetting which cable went on first. I was also starting to worry about the health of my battery, always having to give out boosts. Not to mention, one time I called the auto club for a boost, and after waiting a bit, they arrived and even they got the cables mixed up, causing sparks. For this repair, I started off using both lights, but then realized that I didn't need the headlamp at all, so took it off.As long as the light function keeps working on this NOCO, I can forgive it almost anything, even a bit of broken plastic. I will probably end-up using using this more for the shop light than for the boost, but the fact that it can boost offers peace of mind.

Best little gadget to have in your vehicle at all times. Way easier than hooking up a battery charger. Quick and easy to use anywhere. You don’t need to be near an electrical outlet or find someone with booster cables to give you a boost at the mall parking lot. Just open the hood, attach the cables to the battery terminals, set the Noco Genius to jump start, jump in your vehicle and star your vehicle, remove the Noco Genous, close the hood and you’re good to go. all done with just you.
Bought it on sale awhile back, charged it up but never had a chance to use it till this -29° early morning. Tried to remote start the car but it wouldn't start so geared up and went out to try to manually start it. The engine barely turned over for a couple of revolutions and then nothing at all. The battery is over 5 years old so the life ecpectancy is at its end. Hooked up the Noco GB70, hit the power button and the level indicator started strolling which means it is transferring power to the dead battery. Went in the car and turned the ignition on and the engine turned over easily and sprung to life. Just like that! Amazing, amazing product. Went out to check the power level on the booster and it was still on full charge. Turned it off and unhooked it. If I ... This thing is pretty freaking awesome. For being so small it packs a punch. I have 4 vehicles. And 5 lawn tractors/ tractors and some sit longer and don't get used much so no reason to get new batteries every time. Or taking the batteries out constantly to keep them charged. So this is great. Perfect for my needs. Alittle pricey but for being so compact and packing everything it does its worth the $$$$. Also can be used for emergency use at home for charging batteries for my flashlights or phone etc.
Very robust and solid product from the Noco range. I am so pleased with the build quality, design and use of the jump starter that I will be purchasing a Noco battery charger when I can afford it. My only negative comments would be that the leads could be a little longer for ease of use and perhaps detachable as on the lower specification models. The jump starter was very nicely packed, even though this is ultimately disposable, however it reinforces the thought that has gone into the design for the end user. It came with a bag/sleeve for storage, but I have invested in the harder shell case for more protection, though more bulky. I am very pleased with this product.

It came with a pulsing single red capacity light and took a while to get a move on but overall took about 7 hours before it was full charged with the big green 100% solid light indicator blazing away. Pretty good start and top up from a cars cigarette lighter at less than half this time ogers well.Hooked up to my reluctant to start Midget (called Bridget along with so many others!) and despite not having been fired up for about 4 months the starter went from 'not a chance mate' without the GB70 to 'jeez mate this is like starting a car with a full charged AGM battery'. B..... H... , it was astonishing. You have to remember that an old(ish) Midget has a mechanical fuel pump and good old fashioned carbs and it takes a while to get the fuel from the tank to the engine unlike all these new autos with pressurised FI and electronic ignition which copes with all the stating techniques automatically for you. Non the less it took only two short bursts on the starter (she almost took on the second try) to a small puff of smoke and a nicely revving motor on the third. The power level in the GB70 was still on green. This jump starter is a BEAST for performance.Would the GB50 have done the job as well? My guess is that it probably would have done so and to be that much more compact has to be an advantage. However just think of that cold wet blustery night when the use is for much more than a 1500cc midget engine that was stored in a garage. It is a big plus to have such a more compact unit (and at a lowe price) but the number of times in my life that I have underestimated performance in severe conditions my money is still on the GB70.Overall I am pleased I decided on the GB70 but each to their own.Oh yes, one thing I did think about was that the lamp on the GB70 is claimed to be a 4000 lumen unit. 4000 lumens output is a serious shed load of light. I have been using Maglite torches for the last 40 years and I consider them to be the most reliable and 'illuminating' torches ever made (simply brilliant and actually not all that pricey) the 4000 lumens on the GB70 was NO match at all. Saying that the 4000 unit lamp on the GB70 was ok (just) for under the bonnet use in the dark. The 2000 lumen lamp on the GB50; heaven help us if it is pouring with the wet stuff when what you really need is the more light the better.As I said, each to there own, choice is so often a matter of balance, to me I made the right choice with the GB70. It is neat, appears well built and sturdy with jump starting to match the price - EASILYNow to see how it performs over time !Andyp.s. Halfords is a pretty good place for enthusiastic older car lovers to buy stuff from and armed with my 'Trade' card the price was attractive at £136 quids. So then, thus far, I am a pretty happy bunny.
