We gave been taking thus product for years. This recent shipment was disappointing. Caps were clumped into a ball and have an unpleasant fishy smell. I hope it did not go rancid. In past, the caps had a lemony smell and did not clump. I managed to separate the caps by struggling to get them one by one out of the container. None was broken , so I did not return them. But I am highly disappointed. I Expected excellent quality for such an expensive product. The quality that it had in past. Unfortunately the company must have lowered its quality control or changed the formula. It is not what it used to be.

I like the taste. I mean the taste I get when it's in the mouth, not the fish oil, of course. I tried quite a few fish oil pills before. They are all 'tasteless', so to speak. This product is an exception. Fish oil pills tend to be large in size. It's not really that enjoyable swallowing two at a time. The taste of this product does help a lot. I trust this product when it comes to safety. Many fish oil products on the market these days are contaminated with pollutants like mercury. Just for example: the local consumer watchdog here did a review of such products. More than half of the samples tested contain toxic chemicals and /or carcinogens. I trust Nordic for what is said on toxidity and on the quality of the fish oil as an ingredient.

I've read a lot of reviews raving about these Omega-3 supplements and decided to try them out. What I don't like is the lemon flavor. It gives me indigestion and lemon burps. It's a shame as I am looking for a higher dose of omega-3 per pill in the triglyceride form vs the EE (or Molecularly Distilled). Nordic also has a 2x more version to the Ultimate Omega which is essentially double omega-3 per pill, but sadly HealthyPlanet does not carry that one and I believe that is lemon flavoured as well, so it will not work for me. Will continue my search. If you don't have any issues with the lemon flavour or burps, I would recommend this one.

I was listening to a running-centric podcast and they interviewed a coach who recommended this brand/product.Although some supplements are difficult to quantify their effects (i.e., possible placebo effect), with this product I noticed a positive difference after about 2 weeks in my heart rate at a given pace. I'm in the midst of summer and I normally don't see this kind of low heart rate for the given pace until winter when it's much colder.I've done the research and apparently products with a good amount of Omega 3 can have a positive impact on VO2 max. None of the capsules were stuck together, there was no leakage, and even when having my nose touching the product, there was no discernible odor; fish or lemon. Once they break, you can’t take them because they’re nasty fish oil that smells and tastes like a rotting fish corpse on a sun-drenched dock. I’ve stored them in my fridge, which has reduced some of the pills sticking together; however, the fridge only works preventatively. I have used your product for many years and have recommended it to other people, but I do not know what has happened to it. I recently ordered a bottle and it came in with the capsules leaking, and most of them were welded together, despite being stored in the refrigerator. I was sent a new bottle and I properly refrigerated it. I took a few out at a time to bring them up to room temperature so that I can swallow them. But now I find that these capsules are also leaky and they smell! I don’t know what has happened to your product but I don’t think that I will be purchasing it in the future.
I have a subscription for the Ultimate Omega 2X. Upon opening this last bottle, I found all the capsules in a hard clump. There is no lemon smell or taste because some of the capsules must have leaked. It is extremely difficult to get a capsule out of the bottle; it’s almost like they are glued together. I don’t want to use a knife or tool to separate them out of concern I’ll rip them open. When I do manage to get one out, my hands are covered with fish smell. The fish taste is really strong, too. I have been using Nordic Naturals for years for myself and my pets and never had something like this before. Very disappointing. Can you comp me a new bottle?
