I have nerve damage in a few parts of body. After my surgery on nerves I was advised to take 1000mcg of B12 to help grow damaged nerves in wrist and forearm. I was given a synthetic 1000mcg B12 which I took for 10 years. Then I read about difference between synthetic and organic B12. I switched to this B12 from NOW brand. Better absorbed and assimilated in body. It generally takes a year or two to see and feel new nerve growth. I allow this small sweet tasting B12 to dissolve completely in mouth, absorbing quickly in saliva gland areas, possibly reaching brain center quicker. Who knows? At least the numbness in my right pinky finger is still leaving and healing. My B12 dose is now5 times as much as before. I keep ordering it.

Great. B12 is needed to help the body convert iron into red blood cells, and B12 can also help stop nerve tingling. There is a B12 deficiency induced anemia problem. Anemia causes nerve tingling from low blood supply. B12 can be thought of as a mineral, cobalt. B12 will help you study. Will update this review after some time

I also like that this is not a lozenge which is less stable because they quickly absorb moisture and B12 breaks down from that, especially if you don't want to take this every day or you want to have a time off period with it. Also, since its not flavored and sweeten your mouth won't salivate excessively if you allow to absorb there first. Lozenges just wash it down into your stomach too quickly before it has a chance to have much contact with the mucosa surface. Now is the only brand that seems to offer the capsule option. My only gripe with Now is that they use that flip top cap which can't be tightly twisted on like conventional caps, so your basically letting air/moisture in and out with every change in room temperature since air expands and contracts as it warms up or cools down. What that means is if you buy a Now product and want to use it over a longer time like a year or two, if you aren't taking it every day like they expect you to, then you can't count on the stability or freshness of the actives. I know from the natural products industry standards/testing that shelf life is only based on "unopened" bottles or packaging and is no longer valid after you break the seal/open it. At least with other lids you can tighten them pretty good to minimize air getting in or out but not with the Now bottles. What I have to do is transfer the contents to a another empty bottle with a regular screw cap and then label the product, brand, and exp. date on the new bottle to ensure it doesn't break down as fast from oxygen and humidity. Well it is true that every time you open the bottle to take out a capsule then you let some air in, but with a loose lid your allowing constant air and especially humidity access which is probably the worst part of accelerated break down of the actives. The desiccant pack might help a little at first but becomes worthless since the cap can't be tightened because they only have a limited capacity to absorb moisture. A last concern is that they do not have a warning on the label about the well documented risk of higher B12 supplementation having a risk of lung and colon adenoma. For those with a personal or family history this would be a serious risk or concern.
Great quality product if your body can’t already covert regular b12 supplements to a useable form! (More common than you would think) Small flavoured lozenge. Smaller size than a tictac. I crush it and dissolve in a small amount of water for my son on the spectrum and have noticed an improvement in his moods. My partner and I both take this as-well and is a better energy boost than a coffee in the morning! Highly recommend.
I bought this one for my husband, since Now is his favorite supplements brand and he's pleased with the results. He's been taking this B12 for a few weeks now and we can notice the difference in levels of energy and decrease of mental and physical fatigue.We hope that the long term results will be as good.I personally like that this B12 is methylcobalamin and has no flavours and sweeteners added, like most B12 available on the market.
Any moisture in the air, these soak up like a sponge. So could not use them all, they became damp looking/changed colour. Even though there was a moisture sachet. Considering they are not exactly cheap, not acceptable. I bought a few Now supplements and the top does not seem a proper seal. I chose Now because they don't add extra additives but looks like I will have to buy elsewhere.
