The whole point of Lozenges is to let it melt in your mouth under your tongue. Right where your bottom teeth are located.But these lozenges contain ''citric acid'', which is terrible for your teeth enamel. Not to mention it takes around 10 full minutes before one dissolves. So you'll be exposing your teeth to constant citric acid for 10 minutes straight, every single day.After i found this out, i definitely do not recommend them. Now i just swallow them whole until i run out, but afterwards i'll buy a brand that doesn't have citric acid for b12 vitamins. If you care about your teeth, be aware.

Methyl B-12 is a must for the fairly high percentage of us with a genetic polymorphism that requires the B12 be pre-methylated (as the body cannot use it otherwise). Most of us do not know we have this mutation without genetic testing. Even for those without methylation deficit why not pay the little extra to cover the bases? And, as we all know, B12 is essential for virtually all cell cactivity in the body and is water soluble, so necessary at least once a day, also considering we absorb only a fraction. NOW is a good company price wise, and reputable for decades. Fast delivery.

My mood was really bad for a long time and due to that I decided to visit a psychiatrist. After a few visits he was pretty sure that my main problem is in low vitamin levels so one of the supplements he recommended me taking was B12 1000 - I didn't even know that there's such a high dosage and is it safe at all! Although it doesn't seem to affect me, the xyletol has been a big problem for people I have recommended this to.I have a specific genetic mutation, C677TT, which severely hampers my methylation process. Because of this, I only "methylate" about 30% of most b vitamins; when I take b vitamins that are not in the methyl form, most of it simply builds up in my blood and cannot be used, which can cause health problems - both because of the build up in blood and because my body isn't getting enough of the form it can actually use for important processes like detoxing and whatever it does in the brain.Methyl-b12 gives me a boost of energy, clears my mind of brain fog (which ... MoreSooooo hard to find methyl-b12 in such a high dose! It definitely works better when taken on an empty stomach, in the morning; taking it too late will keep you up at night. Vitamin B-12 is not found in plant foods, making it necessary for vegans to either take a supplement or eat foods fortified with B-12. I like that NOW uses ingredient cyanocobalamin because it is more shelf stable and also less expensive than methylcobalamin. Also, the fact that these are lozenges that can be chewed or taken sublingually is important because efficacy is better when B-12 is mixed with saliva. The primary reason I gave 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 is because it contains both fructose and sorbitol. Obviously it has to be tasty since it is a lozenge, but sorbitol can cause negative side effects. I plan to try another product without sorbitol when I finish this bottle.
