A lasting skin like finish

I used the colour Medium, and it blended very well into my neck which made it look seamless. It looks very yellow toned in the tub, but the colour sheers out and blended really well into my neutral undertones. There were no harsh lines, and it’s very easy to buff. Before application, I always make sure to moisturise my dry skin well, and apply a thin layer of a hydrating primer. I believe this helped to make sure that the powder didn’t cake on any dry or flaky areas. I found that the best way to use it for myself was to dip the brush lightly into the mesh, and then tap the excess off into the lid before lightly buffing outwards from the middle of my face. If I buffed too hard, it did accentuate some dry patches on my nose and chin. The excess in the lid was enough for a whole face application, and starting in the t-zone with a loaded brush gave me more coverage where I needed it most, and less product to easily diffuse the foundation into the neck and hairline without any harsh lines of demarcation. Application is quick and easy, and a small amount of powder goes a long way.I am most satisfied with the coverage when using 3 thin layers of the product, and found that it layered really well without getting thick and patchy. A single layer didn’t cover much redness for me personally, but building up the product helped. Although it covered redness well with 3 thin layers, I found that it did not cover a blemish that I had. This was an easy fix, and I found that dabbing a very small amount of concealer on the blemish before foundation application, then letting it dry, worked well. The foundation did not catch on the concealer and blended over it seamlessly. It lasted around 5-7 hours of at home wear before I could see obvious spots that needed touching up. Touching up was easy and the powder didn’t cake up, I just used the brush from earlier with the left over product on it to rebuff the area. My main problem areas that needed touching up were between the eyebrows and the tip of my nose. The only issue I have is that any areas that become dry or flaky throughout the day are not easily touched up. It required me to clean off that specific area of product, put more moisturiser on, and then rebuff product over that area with a small, fluffy eyeshadow brush. This didn’t happen every time I wore the product, but if you have dry skin or specific areas that get especially dry, I recommend making sure they are well moisturised before initial application.Overall, I really enjoy using this product. It has a beautiful finish on the skin and layers really well for extra coverage. All of the products I used on top of the foundation blended well and stayed throughout the day. It has a decent lasting power on its own, and a setting power assists it to stay even longer. I would definitely recommend it to people with all skin types except those who are extra dry, as the powder and buffing motions can accentuate dryness.

The old packaging was a bit stubborn and required some vigorous shaking of the jar to release the powder from the container.I used the foundation powder with the provided Nude by Nature Mineral Brush. It is a short kabuki style brush with a very full brush head and densely packed with synthetic bristles. It picked up the powder easily and any excess was easily tapped off back into the jar. The shape of the Mineral Brush also fit very neatly into the curvature of the inverted dome shaped part of the jar for even distribution of the powder onto the bristles. I started in the centre of my face and applied the mineral powder outwards in round circular motions as directed. I found using the powder with a buffing or stippling brush provided greater control and was able to target smaller areas (particularly around the nose area) more easily.Overall, I found the mineral powder very lightweight and easy to use. I normally have dry to normal skin and would find this perfect for summer when my skin can get shiny from the heat. It is perfect for sheer coverage, using this for anything more than sheer coverage would take quite a bit of work to build up to get the coverage needed. It is also great if you are naturally flawless and just need a little bit of coverage to even out skin tone. I found it really didn't do anything for evening out blemishes so concealer is definitely needed (when sometimes I can skip it if using liquid foundation).Compared to my current mini version and ingredients listed on the Nude by Nature website, the ingredients have changed slightly in order however there was no noticeable difference in the feel of the product on the skin. The new version however is noticeably darker and pinker in tone compared to the current version on the market which did not suit my skin tone as well. The ingredients of the product are:MICA, TITANIUM DIOXIDE, ZINC OXIDE, MAGNESIUM STEARATE, KAOLIN, JOJOBA ESTERS. This was the first Nude by Nature product that I have ever used but I’ve heard good things so I was eager to try it. I feel positively about the brand due to the 100% naturally derived and cruelty free products and I love that mineral makeup is a better alternative for your skin. The first thing I noted about the product was the packaging. I love the mirrored rose gold lid which adds an element of elegance to the product. The packaging is strong and sturdy, and the screw top lid allows the product to be done up securely. The lid is well designed to stop excess product falling into the top compartment of the container when it is not in use, which I’ve found to be an issue with mineral foundations in the past. There is a small mesh net in the centre of the container ... MoreThis was the first Nude by Nature product that I have ever used but I’ve heard good things so I was eager to try it. I found it easy to tap the brush in this section to get the product rather than to tap the product out into the lid. I found the powder gave a nice light coverage to my face but I could build it up to give a higher coverage.Used in conjunction with the finishing powder, this product lasted well throughout the day, and looked pretty good even after light exercise. I did find it was a little drying around my eyes though and it caused some irritation to flare up here which I am prone to but had no flare ups for six months prior to using this.A couple of times I did transfer too much product to the brush which resulted in me applying to much to my skin and looking very powdery. This is easily overcome by ensuring you tap any excess off the brush before applying, and to apply small amounts in a circular motion and I quickly learnt this.I did find that it can be a little messy to apply, particularly if you are wearing dark clothing. I found a light dusting of the powder fell onto me when I was applying and I often ended up with a dark top covered in small speckles of foundation.Overall, I liked the look of this foundation on my skin and I will continue using it. I am interested to see the results in warmer weather and to see if this changes the lasting power of the product.

Natural mineral makeup look!

This mineral foundation was amazingly easy to blend on my skin and it felt feather-light and comfortable to wear! It can be buildable to provide medium coverage, however, you need to do this with a light hand, otherwise the overall finish of this mineral foundation will give a heavy and cakey look. Also, I noticed that a lot of product build-up happens along the sides of my nose, so I always ensure a quick light sweep along my nose to achieve an even and smooth finish. This mineral cover foundation absorbs the shine along my T-zone very well during the day, however it does sometimes leave my forehead with slightly dry patches. To avoid these dry patches, I always ensure I thoroughly prime my forehead before applying the mineral cover foundation. The shade ‘Light/Medium’ made my overall skin complexion look slightly lighter than my natural skin tone, so maybe next-time I would need to use a darker shade otherwise a combination of blusher and bronzer to contour my complexion still works well to give a natural finish.Overall, by applying this mineral cover foundation with a light-hand and on clean well-hydrated skin, I can effortlessly achieve a nice natural everyday look!

Perfect for oily skin - even in winters

I have oily combination skin and so far, this beautiful mineral foundation in powdered form has suited me well.Let me start with packaging. It instantly starts creating a breathable light cover and can be builded up as desired - although I haven't tried beyond medium. Even for a make-up dummy like me, this creates smooth and even finish so definitely very easy to use.I like liquid foundations but Winter is the only time when I am not worried about using them. In summer they just make me look like fried food. This though is likely to be a life saver in all seasons. I was afraid that in dry days of winter it might make my skin look flaky but totally amazed that it just sits lightly, providing medium-light cover and doesn't look dry while absorbing away oil from all shiny spots. Almost as if it has a mind of it's own, this finely milled powder has managed to adjust itself to on different patches of my skin - all having a very different tendency. Any combination skin girl here would know what I am talking about. For those concerned about fragrances in products, this has none.

Shade range let me down
29 December 2023

I love this product. The formula is great and it’s so easy to use and gives such a natural and radiant finish whilst evening out my skin tone, neutralising redness and providing decent coverage. Unfortunately I’ve had to switch to another brand as the shade range doesn’t suit me.I’m light skinned with neutral undertones and the shade light is too light for me whereas light/medium is too pink and medium is too dark although the undertone is great. My perfect match would be a mix between light and medium. I wish they would make such a shade as I can’t mix it myself as it would make a mess.Excellent product if it comes in your shade.

Sheer, beautiful & natural-looking coverage.

I love a good mineral powder and this one's no exception. They last for ages and there is something very appealing about using a base coverage with minimal/all-natural ingredients (as well as some natural sun protection capabilities) that works really effectively. One of the early issues with mineral powders to the cosmetic market was their somewhat high messiness factor to use and tenancy to look a bit chalky if the powder wasn't very finely milled or a nice composition. That said, I really appreciate how Nude by Nature has put some serious effort into solving these issues and I personally think they've done a really good job.The tub that this comes in is very elegant-looking, with the ubiquitous and very trendy rose-gold coloured lid. But this lid is hiding a bit of ingenious design work that serves the purpose of making the powder way more user-friendly! The lid has an extra molded protrusion that seals against the top of the powder opening so that when you open it up after any travel or knocking about of the packaging - it's not going to be a messy powder bomb waiting to happen! This is actually super helpful as you'll know only too well if you've ever dropped an older style mineral powder pack and had it go literally *all over* the place! Groan. Such a waste of product, not to mention potentially staining your clothes and bathroom floor. Also the top of the powder is shaped like an inverse dome and there is only a small mesh-covered opening that the powder can come up through as you swirl the brush over the top. The curves around the edges are also really helpful to rotate the brush over so that you can achieve an even powder distribution over the brush fibres before you apply it to your face. This means there is no need to tap out any product which can be super wasteful. Overall, this is the best designed powder canister I've ever used.

Trial Team Review
17 August 2020

I may not have tried this Mineral Powder again had it not been for this trial. I have purchased the Nude by Nature Natural Mineral Cover before and didn't like it much. The old version of the Natural Mineral Cover has had a packaging update and a colour improvement, which in my opinion have made the product more appealing to me. The main reason I didn't like the old version was the colour, the light/medium was more 'orange' than 'yellow' undertones so it made me look very Oompa Loompa-ish. The new version however, is a perfect match for my fair skin tone so I'm very happy with that. The packaging has been updated from a plastic pot with a brown lid and 15g of product to a plastic tub that looks bigger (but holds less) that has a very pretty rose gold lid. Now you get 10g of product and I'm sure the price has gone up $10. This is the only reason for the 4 star review instead of 5 stars as I am very impressed with this makeup. The improvement in the colour is very impressive to me, now I feel it has a more 'human' skin tone to it than before. I am very impressed with it's staying power, I am immune compromised so I wear a mask when I leave the house and I expected to see foundation transfer onto the mask when I took it off - BUT NO, no makeup on the inside of the mask, I was incredibly surprised and extremely happy about that.I have mature skin (50 years old) that is combination oily/normal and being winter at the moment my T-zone is less oily. I also suffer from Rosacea which can make my skin very sensitive to foundation products but I have had no sensitivity issues with this one. Being more mature and because it's winter at the moment I was worried about the Mineral powder drying out my skin so I made a change to the way I would wear it in summer. I used my Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentrate moisturising primer as well as putting the Nude by Nature Airbrush Mineral Primer under the foundation to help combat dryness. Also over the top I used my Avene Thermal Mineral Water Spray to set the powder which helps with the slight creasing under my eyes, otherwise the dryness of the powder would accentuate these lines a LOT.I love that you can build to your preferred level of coverage. I love a natural look or light coverage so I don't need to use a lot. I will build a bit of coverage over my outer cheek area as I have some pigmentation spots there but everywhere else I keep it light. This Natural Mineral cover looks incredibly natural on my skin and people are actually surprised to know I am wearing foundation at all. It's like 'My skin but better'.Overall this foundation is a winner, with well prepped skin there is no dryness, it doesn't transfer onto other surfaces (like masks) easily and it stays on my slightly oily t-zone remarkably well. I do wear glasses so a little came off under the nose pads but that is to be expected, I don't think there is any makeup on the planet at this point that can stay put under the constant movement of glasses. Once the foundation has 'settled' on your skin (after about an hour) it looks flawless.

Use sparingly for natural look

I have never bought or owned a Nude by Nature product so I was very thrilled to be given this opportunity to trial the Natural Mineral Cover in Medium shade. I went to the Nude by Nature website and it states that this is a new limited edition luxe rose gold package. On their website, it is selling just under $40 which I personally feel is a reasonable price as I have paid more from other brands. It is suppose to deliver sheer to full coverage with a satin radiant finish and is SPF 15. I would have preferred a higher SPF so that I don’t have to apply sunscreen under my makeup. This is also what I found on their website: The loose powder foundation is composed of active natural ingredients including Jojoba Esters to nourish the skin and Kaolin Clay for a radiant ... MoreI have never bought or owned a Nude by Nature product so I was very thrilled to be given this opportunity to trial the Natural Mineral Cover in Medium shade. It is suppose to deliver sheer to full coverage with a satin radiant finish and is SPF 15. I would have preferred a higher SPF so that I don’t have to apply sunscreen under my makeup. This is also what I found on their website: The loose powder foundation is composed of active natural ingredients including Jojoba Esters to nourish the skin and Kaolin Clay for a radiant flawless complexion. The feather-light formula adapts naturally to skin tones, evens out complexion, covers redness and pigmentation, and conceals enlarged pores.First let me talk about the packaging and first impressions. It comes in a round compact that has a metallic rose gold lid so it looks very fancy and high quality. When you open the lid, there is a plastic seal over the mesh of the loose mineral powder foundation. I removed it and used it the following day as I only received the package in the afternoon. When I did apply the foundation, I didn’t use too much as I didn’t know how much is needed and wanted a more natural look. I applied it on my entire face in the morning, after my skincare routine. Just tap a small amount of powder onto the lid, dip the brush into the powder, tap away excess and apply the powder onto the skin gently. I tried a few methods on different days to see which last longest and looked the most natural. My first method was sunscreen, primer and the mineral foundation. My second try was no sunscreen, primer and mineral foundation and my last method was sunscreen, no primer and mineral foundation. I preferred to use the methods that required primer as the mineral foundation alone was not enough for concealing enlarge pores. Unfortunately on their website it states that it could conceal enlarged pores which wasn’t true for me. Start applying from the centre of the face and work outward in a circular motion until the level of coverage you want. I also did apply the foundation lightly and another time a little more as I wanted to see how much coverage it could actually cover. I have freckles on my face and even when I applied more coverage, you can still see the freckles however it was not as obvious. The downside of the fuller coverage for me was that it looked too heavy and cakey on my skin. I felt like my skin couldn’t breathe. In conclusion, I trialled this product most days and I like the lighter coverage as it looked the most natural on me. It gave a more even complexion and did cover redness on my cheeks. Unfortunately it didn’t conceal the pores round my nose unless I used it with a primer. It wasn’t totally concealed but it did help make the pores not as obvious.
