Numatic George 3 in 1 Dry-Wet-Extraction Vacuum (GVE370)

I purchased George numatic as I needed another wet and dry cleaner. I had another well known brand for carpet cleaning but it was overated and did not last long.I saw a youtube blogger complain that because George does not have a roating brush it does not clean effective. Tosh !!! You just have to put the extra work in. Also it depends on the shampoo you use. At first I did use the shampoo that was supplied but had some professional cleaner that gave better results.I had some deep stains in a number of carpets that needed removing. The normal carpet cleaning head was ok, though would have been better if it was same size but the width of the upholstery cleaner. Good idea but...Numatic is an excellent name and past products we have used have stood up very well. This machine seemed like a good purchase and a great idea. We were not expecting a carpet extractor but more of a middle machine but here's the problems we have with it.1. The wand is good if you're a child. Expect your back to be tired after using this. You have to always be bent over to get the right angle for the squeegee work. We could add a section to the handle but then the water line is too short and it won't hook up.2. The trigger handle is in a odd position. Your hand rests behind the trigger and so using the water trigger is a little off.3. The spray jet is not adjustable and sprays mostly into the back of the squeegee head. We expected a better squeegee tool. This one is too narrow and a lot of suction is lost at the open ends. Also the brush makes it stand high and you then can't get under lower objects etc.5. Most recent issue is the pressure hose has sprung a tiny leak. This hose has to be removed everything the machine is filled or emptied to avoid bending the hose and eventually breaking it, but because of pushing it on and off the hose wears. Our leak is right where the fixing connects to the hose. Cheap hose.Good idea for the in-between machine but very poor quality and design from a company that should know better. Unsure what the warranty will cover as of right now.

We use it for our business and we take it to different job sites every day. We always had to buy a new wet/dry vacuum every few months, this George is not only more powerful, quieter and lighter than any other brands that we have used, but also it lasts.Performance = 5 StarUpdate: bought this in 2017 and now its 20123 and we use this machine basically every day for both the wet & dry feature. With proper treatment and usage of this machine it has served me a whopping 6 years in heavy duty commercial sites. Excellent product! George Henry is the best in the Henry range in my opinion. The wheels make it easy to move and it's a snap to switch between wet and dry vacuuming. The cord is long enough to valet my car comfortably. The new waterproof front buttons above George's smiling face and the ability to wrap the cord above George's head are real quality of life improvements that show Henry listenss to their customers. Henry, please add the ability to park the Dual Scrub Floor Tool and hose/wand in the same way the Combi Floor Tool can be parked for storage. I would buy a new Dual Scrub Floor Tool head just for this QoL improvement: PLEASE make it happen. It had new motor filter, a dust bag and set of attachments. No carpet wash liquid though. I cannot complain for the price. Thank you.

I have a very busy home with three dogs and three small grandchildren, a good all-in-one is essential! The result is: it is a fantastic piece of kit! The suction is so much I bought an after market head with wheels for use on carpets as it was quite a workout (even using the in line air flow regulator located at the top of one of the light weight stainless steel tubes) the best 'deep clean' vacuum I've owned in 40yrs!The 'wet' function is a gem! Not only does it easily suck up a tiled floor flooded with water, the safety cut off ball attachment (you need to fit when working with water. It will leave your floors streak free by returning over the floor once the main volume of water has been sucked up. (I found that drawing the wet head towards you had the best effect)The upholstery set I put through a serious workout. We had a convertible car which had stood for 2yrs. The mold, sand and dirt that had accumulated/grown (yuk) was embarrassingly disgusting! I should have taken before and after photos, as I thought the car was a write off! It brought the interior back to NEW condition!!! Sucking the sand out from deep in the carpets, removing the mold and grime from the upholstery (quite gross to see the clear cleaning solution (supplied)) turn to a blackish brown as it cleaned the seats... WOW! There was a little green mossy patch on the drivers bolster (due to water ingress through the window not being closed(one of the faults of the car)) This required a light scrub. Then a second application and it was 'showroom condition' Truly a gem of a machine!Improvement Points: Ok.... You must remember that this is not just a vacuum cleaner. Therefore, storage is required for all the kit that comes with the machine. (This is not a fault, I just didn't think of this when purchasing it) my 'bits' now live in my airing cupboard. It has sockets on the base of the body for the different heads and hose attachments, however these are not so practical as they fall off when the hose or cable catches on them. So I don't use them until I put George away. The cleaning pick-up hose attaches to a clip under the black head unit, there are two clips... one is much too big, the other holds it, just, so care needs to be taken that it is out of the way when using the vacuum mode.The main issue I have is the power cord. There is a 'U' bracket so the cord can be wrapped around the black head of the machine when not in use, but i find that the wheels being smooth, jam if the cord is in front of them. I toppled the machine on my first outing trying to pull the unit over the cord. (If this happened with water in the waste tank would it damage the motor?) Maybe a treaded tyre would negate this? So be mindful of the cord. The cord is a brilliant length for my 4 bed home/car cleaning. The weight of the machine doesn't seem as heavy as it says it is, but it is just manageable to carry up the stairs. (I have back and sciatic problems, so I partially rest the unit on the treads as I ascend/descend) I did note other reviews comment on the cord not having a retraction system, I can only presume this is to minimize the weight and size maybe.I hope this review helps you decide. Personally I think it would be very difficult to beat this all-in-one machine at this price point. (Even with these niggles)
