The texture of the product is good - there is depth to it, but it is not heavy, which is important because the skin around the eye is tender and sensitive. I find that it is a perfect base for concealer and it blends well. The makeup applied seamlessly. The cool thing is, I noticed the difference probably after my second or third application. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an anti-aging or brightening eye cream.

Vitamin C CAN cause skin irritation in some individuals and if it doesn’t go away after a few uses then it’s recommended to discontinue use. The texture is rich and creamy which has given me the hydration my under-eye skin needs and the luminous brightness (which decreased discoloration) I was not expecting. I’m so glad this sample was given to me because I doubt I would have found it otherwise.

As an added bonus, it also states to improve the wear of your makeup and help prevent creasing. Due to my prior experiences with eye creams, I was very careful and cautious with each application. I didn’t experience any eye sensitivity, which is instantly a win for me. Product is scent free and very thick and creamy in consistency - a little goes a long way! I’ve been using this product for about two weeks, so while my rating is high, I didn’t want to rate a full five stars or lower than four, due to my initial opinion of results. It takes longer than two weeks to really start to see the benefits from eye creams. With that being said, during the two weeks I have been applying consistently on a nightly basis - the appearance of my dark circles has diminished quite a bit. My eye area has brightened. My eye bags also aren’t as evident. I’m excited to continually wear this cream to see further results. Hopefully the cream lives up to the rest of its promises, as my eyes could use such benefits!

I haven’t noticed any creasing whatsoever when using it under my concealer, so that’s definitely a plus. Overall, it has a nice consistency, it absorbs well (without leaving any greasy residue), it does hydrate the skin, and it does have a significant brightening effect. I like that it’s a clean product. Also, in my opinion, it comes with a fair amount of product for the price, .5oz for $42. In the future, if I were in the market for a lightweight under eye moisturizer or a brightening under eye moisturizer, I would definitely consider purchasing this one. In that same respect, if someone else were looking for such a product, I would definitely recommend this to them. I like it enough that I plan to continue using it, and for me that’s saying a lot, because I’m pretty particular with my beauty and skincare product choices.

Be So Sooooo Careful With This Cream

Like many others (please see Sephora's blog on this product), this product gave me the worst skin reaction I have ever had to any product, ever. I began using this in September 2022, and my eyes became puffy with bags of fluid underneath my eye bone and scaly, dry skin under my eyes. I could not figure it out for the life of me, but thought it was related to my seasonal allergies. I stopped my current skincare routine and got on allergy medications, shots, etc. Once I thought I had my allergies under control, I went back to using this eyecream in February 2023. The first night I used it, I woke up the next morning with eyes swollen shut, red puffy and extremely scaly skin under my eyes. I can't confirm what ingredient it is that is causing the reaction, but something in this is so potent, or has gone so bad, that multiple women pretty much all over the globe has had the same reaction. I would be very very careful with this eye cream and if puffy balls of fluid start accumulating under your eyes while using it, please know it is this eye cream and very likely not something else.

I wanted to give this some time to see it’s short term and long term effects. I have to say after using it for 4 week I will stick the OLEHENRIKSEN Banana Bright+ Vitamin C Eye Crème as long as they make it! I received it to test from Influenster and I couldn’t be happier.Upon receiving the crème the first thing I noticed is it lived up to its promise of being fragrance free. It does have the slightest scent but nothing like the strong perfume smells that’s I cannot stand during my pregnancy. For a while, I was doing one eye with this and the other with the Biossance eye cream to see if there was a notificable difference but gave that up after about 2-3 months Zheng I ran out of the Biossance. It took nearly half the jar before the brightness change was enough to notice. You do have to stick with it. I recommend getting a sample first to see if you have any negative reaction, especially with all these new reviews, before buying a full tub, which you may need to go through to see results.Overall: if you want a brightening eye cream, she’s your girl. I’ve bought 2x but probably won’t purchase again as I continue to search for something anti aging.

Serious allergic reaction

I started using this as well as the banana bright vitamin C serum a few months ago and was loving it. Around Christmas time, I started noticing a red, raw rash on my eyelids around around my lips. I thought it was some sort of eczema or fungal infection and stopped using all of my products. It took a few weeks, but cleared up with hydrocortisone. I started using these products again and the rash reappeared, but this time much worse and my whole face was swollen and my eyes felt gritty and irritated. The rash around my eyes burned and became extremely dry once it started to clear. The rash around my mouth was full blown blisters and also burned. It again took several weeks go go away. Needless to say, I will be getting rid of both products. Feel super weird posting pics, but want people to be able to see the severity.
