OluKai Ohana Womens - Black 9

I live as much as I can in sandals and flip flops and Olukai is my absolute favorite shoe brand. I do need more that are enclosed and they will be coming soon. They make them in all sorts of materials from rubber, canvas, leather. They even make house shoes and golf shoes. They have fantastic arch support. They’re readily available here at the beach and they are available on their website as well. I will never go back to any other brand for warm weather and maybe cooler weather too. I need to buy more shoes to figure that one out. Try on a pair and see for yourself.

Comfortable flip flops you can walk miles in!

I got these during the Anniversary sale and they are so comfortable. I walked two miles on the first day wearing them and didn't have any issues. I even went fishing on a rocky beach in them. They are so comfortable that I bought another pair in a different color and bought 2 more as gifts. It is going to be hard to wear my prettier flip flops but I don't last as long as I do in these. Comfort is the key. I was told to size down when ordering one for a friend who wears 9 1/2 when I was in the store. Then when I went to order more on-line I saw the company recommended to go up 1/2 so now I have to return the smaller size. Despite the misinformation, these are great flip flops.

I got the orchid colour and it is beautiful with the orchid flower motif on it. I was a bit hesitant when purchasing this sandal as i thought it was a bit spendy for sandal but, y'all..... it is worth it! I am so glad I bought this pair true to size and the arch support hits just at the right spot with the right height, I LOVE IT. This is a easy and super comfortable pair of sandals. Casual enough to wear around the house and dressy enough to go out with. Usually the thong part of it by the toes either is abrasive or causes discomfort. This pair felt like there was no need to break it in and I have been wearing it ever since I bought it. I will buy another pair for sure.

More than a flip flop but not major support

Have them in 3 colors, so I do like them quite a bit. I don't find them supportive enough to wear for long outings or extended walks, but for a trip to the grocery store or for walking on my tiled floors at home, they are great grab and go sandals. I would place them higher than most flip-flops or regular sandals, but less than a sandal with a strong support foot bed which is what I would choose for any time I would be walking or standing for an extended period or be on hard surfaces. I do find the rubber sole to be less than "airy" to keep the shoes fresh; they tend to require a washing to keep them fresh smelling whereas other shoes don't seem to have this as a problem.

Very comfortable

I've been a huge fan of OluKai for years. I usuallly go for a thinner strap, and I pretty much live in them. But since these were part of the anniversary sale, I couldn't pass them up for the price. These are actually lighter weight than my normal Ho Opios, and have more cushioning and support. I also think they run a little wider. All that to say, very comfy! I really like the subtle flowers on the black. I also purchased the white and they are more pronounced there. Tempted to pick up the dark blue before the sale is over!

You've really got to try these.

This is my third pair of Olukai Ohanas. I struggled with plantar fasciitis, did lots of PT, and ended up with surgery. This is one of two types of flip flops that my PT approved me wearing and I wear them ALL THE TIME. :) Here's why they are awesome. They have a molded footbed with an arch for support, but that footbed is a little cushy for comfort. The sole of the shoe, however, is firm so you have the best of both worlds...firm support in an extremely comfortable shoe. They are very well made, including the upper straps. And I'm pretty sure these puppies float on water. They will be a little squishy when you take them out. LOL

When I first tried these on I loved how perfectly they fit, as if they'd been designed for my foot alone - until I wore them for a whole day. Now, although these are beautifully made of high-quality, durable materials - they were a disaster to wear. My feet went from being cushioned and comfortable one minute, but as the day went on, my feet began to be full of raging pain. You see, the arches have no give - we're talking rock hard here - so because of this design flaw, they'd ended up pushing so hard into my arches that they gave me a painful limp that lasted into the evening and half the next day. I don't have flat feet. Repeat buyer! These are the only flip flops I've worn in the last decade. Living in the lowcountry of SC, I was wearing out my cheap flip flops and sandals quickly all the time, at least one pair a year, if not more. I invested in these around 2015, replaced them around 2018, and now looking to get a third pair. That's right– I was going from shoes that lasted maybe 6 months, to shoes that lasted 3-5 years. A great investment and one I plan to continue to make! I love how comfortable they are, and I'm fearless about getting them wet. They get a little heavier feeling when wet, but not much and they dry about as fast as my skin does.

I like the feel of the solid sole. The strong arches feel good when walking in them. I am still just wearing them around the house. I have not ventured out wearing them as I am uncomfortable with the job they look on my foot.I wear a size 5 shoe in all styles, but my foot in this sandal makes them look like they are to big for me.There is an outline of where the toes would reach and my toes to do not reach that line. And then the rest of the sole extends beyond that. Because my toes do not extend out into the end of the shoe. I feel like they are not fitting as they should.I did not try them on or walk around in them enough evidently because I did not notice it when I ordered them. Hopefully I can resolve this issue so I wear them.

I'm not generally a review writer, but if you are someone combing the reviews looking to see if the price is worth it and/or trying to decide which style to purchase, I can tell you from my experience these are worth every penny and are the best choice for everyday wear. I've actually had these for about 6 weeks now, and initially I did not like the high arch. I felt they gave almost too much support (if that's possible). However, 6 weeks in and many trips to the beach, pool, and parks later...they have become my favorite go-to sandal. I have found myself gravitating to these over time and now prefer them over all my other footwear. Living in Florida, I spend a lot of time outside in warm weather on my feet.
