After trying quite a few big name cleaners, this was the cheapest and has been the best. Set it up, throw it in, 10 minutes fine tuning and voila, it goes everywhere. We still run our robotic cleaner once a week but that’s solely for the scrubbing action just in case, otherwise this is all you need.

In January 2020 I purchased a Water Technix Pool Cleaner from Mr PoolMan. Right from the start I was not happy with it. Coverage of the pool was not good, in 7 months had to replace the bladder twice and in August the shaft came apart from the skirt assembly. I complained and Mr Pool Man's immediate response was "send us another $25 and we will replace the machine with and Onga Hammerhead Pool Cleaner." Did that and within 4 days I had the new cleaner. Best one I have ever had. Great coverage and pool looks great. So good to deal with a company that honours its warranties.

All I had to do was to put the hose together, attach the cleaner and fit it to the plate in my skimmer box. It worked perfectly from the beginning, no adjustments, no weights needed. It does not get stuck on the steps and it works with the pump on low speed, saving me money.

We have only had it going a few days. It is doing a great job so far getting all the bigger leaves off the middle of the pool. The leaf catcher seems to be making a big difference.Only criticism is that there was no information with the package to tell us the best place to put the leaf catcher. I had to send an extra email to find out where to put it.I even looked on line but all I could find out was that it went in the hose. We surmised it was near the outlet but nothing to tell us exactly where in the brochure that comes with the cleaner.Nicholas came to my aid again.
I've been using one for ten years and finally replaced like for like. Works well and the pool is totally clean. I have added an in-line leaf trap which makes maintenance even easier.

When I found out that it is same as a Kreepy Krauly (its USA branding), I immediately made up my mind to give this a go. For the amount of money we paid (less than the X7 Quattro that died), this is a very good pool cleaner. It handles the corners well - especially around the steps. The previous pool cleaners often got themselves wedged in the steps area due to sharp corners. The Hammerhead always seems to find a way out of the jam by itself. The only tweak I had to do was to adjust the direction of the water return jet. The first couple of days I could see that the Hammerhead avoided one part of the pool, then discovered the return jet was pushing it away. Once that was resolved, the whole pool was covered well. So overall, I am very happy and think this is a great product. SC
