This was recommended by staff at the chemist warehouse who said most people prefer this one. Its eatable, tasty, but I do find it quite dry. Best to have some water with it, and I also eat my salad at the same time while eating this (intense level) to get rid of the dryness. Great to eat at work if you dont want people to know you are on VLCD.

I dreaded having to have diet bars prior to my weight loss surgery. But after having these a few times I now find myself addicted! I love the crunch! They taste like they have chocolate crackles in them. They only part I don’t like is the price. Chemist Warehouse sells them cheaper than anyone else but they are still pricey. Aside from that I love eating them and don’t feel denied in the lolly department cause they’re just sweet enough to hit that tooth and not enough to hit the hips.

Ok this is how I see it, we have gotten fatter, we are looking for things to help us on our way to slimming, it is all trial and error. This product does not taste nice, it almost has a taste of bicarbonate of soda in it which is not a pleasant taste. Does not reach the excitement of tasting like berries. To be encouraged to stick to the program or any program it must taste nice otherwise one would not continue. Overall I would not buy this one.Only my opinion others may differ.

I bought these Optifast Berry Crunch bars to allow me to stay on track on my very low calorie diet [VLCD]. Easier to use than the shakes and soups when you are out and about. Carry your meal replacement discreetly in your bag or pocket and its' ready when you are. Great flavour too.
I have been using the optifast for almost a month and found these to be very filling! They are a tad dry to eat but that just makes me drink more water with it’s. great taste and also helps my sugar cravings! Seeing great results.
The other bars are my preference, though when I take a break from this one & revisit, it tastes wonderful.I match the optifast bars with drinks. A fruity sugar free berry drink seems to match this, like raspberry soda.
After three weeks on the VLCD Intensive program, I have to say this Berry Crunch bar is far and away my favourite! All the bars are a little dry and should be eaten with a glass of water, but these aren't too bad. It's sweet without being too sweet, and since there is no fruit on the intensive level, it makes me feel like I'm having something kind of fruity (and a nice little hint of chocolate with the coating). I'm not a fan of breakfast usually, but I can see myself eating these long term.
Got these as on Active 2 plan with Optifast, was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable they were to eat and almost tempted to eat another every time as they taste pretty good! Would def recommend trying these as an alternative if you are having the shakes on Optifast, gives a bit of variety to meals. The processing of the order was super fast, ordered in the afternoon and was dispatched the same day and arrived here the next day, fantastic service from Mighty Ape :)
The Optifast berry crunch bars are really nice tasting, I certainly recommend them as a break from the shakes. While I do like this flavour, it isn't my favorite out of the bars, but it's something different to eat once in a while. I find it a bit on the sweet side.
I’m using the Optifast protein bars as a part of my preparation for bariatric surgery. I’m not a huge fan of the berry bars, but that’s more because of the texture rather than the taste. If you like rice bubbles you’ll probably be okay; I just don’t like then. Despite this I’m still able to eat them.
