These threaders are great for use with my permanent orthodontic retainer. The threads are a bit long for use with my retainer, however, this product is also for use with other dental products such as braces, implants, etc so the longer threads may be needed. My only complaint about this product is the packaging. It is very difficult to take one of these threads out of the box. When I completely took the plastic package which holds the threads out of the box, I discovered the plastic package was folded in thirds and inserted into this small box. OralB needs to do a much better job with packaging. The box simply needs to be longer so that the plastic packet lays flat in the box. This would make it easier to take one thread out for each use. Flossing itself can be an annoying process but flossing with braces makes it an even more tedious task. Using this has helped me reduce the time it takes for me to floss with traditional metal braces. I also like that the string has a thicker and thinner part as there are some teeth that are a bit closer together than the others. Overall I would purchase this again. Also, wanted to add the floss has a mint smell but zero taste. Doesn’t effect my rating either way but thought I would add in case anyone was interested.

Horrible horrible horrible threader floss! If you have braces, stay away and get the glide for a dollar more. Tried these because glide was out and I will not be repurchasing these or recommending these to anyone. I thought i was going to pop my braces out of place using these. They rip apart so easily. I had to use 3 threaders for just my 4 front teeth. The thread also gets stuck in between your teeth too. Just horrible. Don’t purchase. Save yourself the stress and extra work.

I've used this floss for over 15 years!! The Super Floss is great and, I put toothpaste on the Spongy-floss for extra clean teeth; "brushes" in-between my teeth, which is EXCELLENT!!! Removes the plaque %26 food!! As advertised on the box, and it's bwwn my experience with this product: 1. Stiffened end to floss under appliances; 2. Spongy-floss to clean around appliances %26 wide spaces; and 3. Regular floss to help remove plaque under gumline!!! To further keep my teeth in check, I use the Oral B Electric Toothbrush with the round head. If you want to keep your original teeth, I highly recommend the line of Oral B!!! Good hygiene, from the time you have teeth to the end, is the %231 Health Problem that is preventable with good Flossing %26 Brushing!!!
I tried these because my hygienist recommended them, but these are awful and very useless. The tips of the threader were frayed right out of the box so you can’t even thread them through your braces without wasting a significant amount of time. When you finally do, the floss shreds with the slightest friction and gets caught on your brackets. Even the cheapest floss is 10x stronger than this. Just ask your dental office for threaders and floss. They work really well and the staff may be so happy you want to floss they’ll give you a ton of them. Also, if you have trouble using these tools for your back teeth, try using the floss and threader for the front teeth and using a platypus flosser for the back teeth. It’s so much quicker and easier.

What the heck have you done? I've used this product for many years, and usually buy in bulk. The last boxes I bought are like an entirely different product. The fluffy side is barely fluffy any more, the stiff end is not as stiff, and the non-fluffy side shreds much more easily. I used to really like this product because the width of the fluffy side is just what I need for my Hybridge dental work. I will have to start looking around for another product that is easier and more effective to use. So disappointing.

They aren’t individually wrapped and the box works similar to a tissue box, and they are difficult to pull out, but can be done. I could live with that if the floss was actually useable, but it’s awful, the stiff end is not as stiff as it should be and was harder to get under my bridge, I had a terrible time getting it between two back teeth that are tight, and the floss ended up shredding and breaking. It felt like there were fibers of the floss stuck between my teeth. Thankfully I had some of the Glide floss to use instead to get the shredded floss out and finish flossing the rest of my mouth. Honestly this is the worst floss I have ever used. The wax tip is fine, works great threading it through my permanent retainer. BUT it frays between by teeth and even BREAKS, leaving behind tiny ungrabbable strands of string. The pressure between my teeth is horrible due to the string being wedged. It's ineffective at even removing soft plaque, but if you have tartar, or even a rough filling, keep dreaming. This product sucks
Was using Threader Floss and thought it was a great product. The end was stiff enough to go under my bridges. Bought the Super Floss by mistake and did not like it. Threw it away. Realized the difference between the two products. Now I see you've changed the threader floss and very much dislike it. The ends are not stiff enough and the floss separates and frays. You have ruined a perfectly good product. New and improved sometimes is worse. Leave well enough alone.
