Oribe Serene Scalp Oil Control Shampoo - 250ml

I used this shampoo and was super excited! This shampoo had a great texture, very smooth and silky, it has a light, clean fragrance and the bottle is very cute, color is beautiful! Dont let any of this fool you though, upon using this shampoo, it took out any and all essence of moisture that I had on my scalp and hair, it made my hair feel waxy and unreal. I immediately put some conditioner on my hair but the shampoo had affected the conditioner too, it's like I didn't put any conditioner on my hair. I also tried this on my 9 year old daughter because she has very thick blonde hair and it gets a little flaky and oily. This was the biggest mistake ever! So then I thought, maybe it just needs time to work. It seems to apply to skincare, why not hair as well? Nope, my hair was not only greasy by the next 3 day mark, but horribly dry from lack of conditioner for such an extended period of time. All in all, I didn't work for me. I enjoyed the beautiful packaging (I also love that Oribe focuses on refillable bottles), the scent and lather, but I simply didn't deliver what it was supposed to.

One of my new favorite Oribe products. My hair stylist used this on me a few weeks ago and I was thoroughly impressed. It lasted me an extra day without having to wash my hair, saved a lot of time just showering and not having to worry abt styling my hair afterwards- which during my busy work week, is quite nice. Lol. My hair felt so silky and smooth. She used this shampoo and the serene scalp conditioner together. Oribe has a slightly high price point, but I do find their products to be worth it. I have almost every Oribe product, or have at least tried them. The spray for this line is also a miracle spray, it makes your scalp feel so FRESH! Reduces oiliness and rebalances microbiome

This shampoo is sulfate-free and manages to effectively extend the time between washes for me.This product did help my scalp stay oil-free for longer after the first use, but after some research l realized this product also aims to rebalance the scalp's bacterial landscape. That can take a little longer to establish in my experience.It contains Sugar-Derived Prebiotic and Biomimetic Amino Acid to help reestablish a healthy microflora. Rosebay Extract and Green Marine Algae are said to help regulate and rebalance the scalp’s microbiome in a natural way to reduce excess sebum and oil.I’m excited to continue using it and see my oiliness lessen over time.
