Oribe - Styling Butter Curl Enhancing Creme

I bought this because my hairstylist used it on my wavy/curly hair, and it looked so soft and voluminous and defined. I thought it just had to be magic. Apparently it was just skill…skill that I don’t have. This did nothing for me that I couldn’t have gotten with SheaMoisture Curl Smoothie at 1/4 the price. It’s not worth it, but it’s also not a bad product per se.

My hair is very difficult so if that's you; read this! I have curly/wavy hair and it's so hard to tame. I suffer from dry hair so finding a product that works is hard and i usually have to mix products to get some type of relief. Anyways this product smells okay, not horrible but not the best scent. It does offer some enhancing to my curls but I also have to use 2 other products. The only thing is if you use too much it leaves your hair gross/heavy/ Also my hair quickly got over this product and stopped getting curls and went flat. I'm sure other people will be able to use this but my hair is so difficult.

This is my favorite curl creme! It is relatively thick, I often loosen it up with a little bit of water in my hands before running it through my hair. I have 3B curls and use this most days. It really perks up my curls into tight ringlets and adds body while cutting down on frizz. Highly recommend!

A Darling for curly hair

I have thick curly hair 3b-3c. This is one of the best products in my curly hair journey. I'm on my second tube now. This product leaves my hair soft , shiny and my curls look good even on 4th day of styling. A little goes a long way. Plus the fragrance is soo good. The only downside is quantity of the product compared to price point.

Incredible

I used to buy this at the salon, and was happy when Dermstore started carrying the brand. Its worth the money you spend on it because its so good and you only need a little bit. My daughter has a lot of hair, long and wavy, with frizz in the spring/summer so instead of using a flat iron or blow dryer during "frizz season" she curls her hair using this amazing Styling Butter-it nourishes her hair, gets rid of frizz, makes it shiny and smells wonderful. She applies it to wet hair then curls strands with her fingers and lets it air dry. The result is always great, and people ask her what she uses on her hair all the time. Life changing!

Not holy grail, but ok

I have 3b curls, and I'm always on the look out for a good hydrating styling cream and was excited when Oribe brought out their dedicated curl range. It took me a long time to figure out the best way to use this. At first it was leaving my curls weighed down - the cream is very thick so I found it hard to gauge how much product to use. Now I use it on almost sopping wet hair, straight after the shower. You only need a little bit, and I quickly follow this crème with hair gel (curl jelly is my favourite) and diffuse dry. I'm not a massive fan of the smell (it's different to the gold lust range) but once you get the hang of a technique that works for you, it's ok. Nourishing & Hold!

This is an effective and dense option so can be utilised in different ways for different curl patterns and hair lengths!! I really like this option and now with my very short hair I only need such a small amount of product mixed in with their Shine Cream or some oil, but as again I keep ensuring my curls are traumatised with bleach I do need something to help bring back my curls and give them some hold to last.

One of my favorite products

I recently got my hair cut and colored and my stylist used this product on me. I'm not sure if it was entirely this product, but my normally partly wavy/partly curly/partly straight hair had perfect waves for legit 2 weeks. I would hop out of the shower and air dry, use absolutely nothing on my hair, and it was perfect. This never happens!! I decided to buy this and see if this was the holy grail I was looking for. It really is amazing - I've been using a little bit every couple days after I shower and it does such an amazing job of giving my hair perfect waves. It costs more money than I would normally spend on a product like this, but the bottle is actually pretty big and I only have to use a little bit every time. The Holy Grail of Curl styling!

I have wavy hair. I have tried a lot of hair products for curls and this one is the holy grail! it is both great for styling and moisturizing! I get beautiful soft curls without any crunchiness, great smell, easy to use! It is especially good for colored hair that can get dry. The price is worth it. I have tried replacing it and nothing comes close!

I use a dime size amount of each, comb through my hair, scrunch, and then let air dry. I also toss in some Gold Lust oil after my curls are dry to get shine and volume! I chose to leave this review under the styling butter because if I was forced to use only one of these curl products, it would be this! The ingredients are essential to feed the needs of curls- and especially curls that have been through the trenches of bleaching like my platinum curls have been!
