I've been in the market for a skincare product for days that I don't feel like wearing much makeup but still provides some coverage and moisture. I'm so happy that I received this because it's just what I was looking for! This moisturizer provides a very subtle sheer tint that helps to even out your skin - but don't expect too much coverage as some redness or imperfections still show through but not as intense without anything on. The consistency is easily spreadable and a little goes a long way, but blend in completely to avoid any streaking. It sits well underneath makeup such as concealer or bronzer, but let it sink into your skin completely to avoid any pilling. We all need to use SPF daily and this is my absolute favorite SPF! My go to daily product. This product provides the perfect match to your skin… I don’t know how they do it! Also it leaves your skin glowing and with light coverage. Perfect start for 5 minute makeup. If you don’t like foundation this is the best place to start.

But if you have more combination to oily skin your going to love this product! Due to its texture and formulation it will add the necessary hydration your skin needs without clogging your pores and increasing your issue with excess oil.I really loved using the moisturiser under makeup, because it is so lightweight, doesn't feel sticky and it's super comfortable to wear throughout the day making it the perfect moisturiser to start your beauty routine with!Whilst it didn't make my skin feel super hydrated, this product definitely gives your skin the kind of boost it's craving in the mornings. I noticed my under eye circles get lighter and less puffy after consistent use. If you suffer with a drier complexion I'd definitely reccomned pair this product with a face oil to really boost your skins hydration, I found this method worked great for me!Origins recommend use in the mornings and at night after cleansing.

I have tried many skin care brands and seem to always run back to origins. Specifically the ginseng collection. This moisturizer creates the most perfect canvas regardless if you rock a full face makeup or makeup-less look. Pairs with the eye cream is just MAGIC! It's a MUST TRY!! Also, no gatekeeping.... I love Origins Vitazing (which I don't see on Sephora anymore. Has this replaced it?). I got this thinking it would be similar to Vitazing and I was right! Only this is better, having an SPF that is almost triple that of Vitazing. This is good news for me since I am horrible at using an SPF unless it's built into other products. The color, tone, and consistency is identical to that of Vitazing. At first I thought this would have more of a tint due to its darker hue upon initial application, but once it's all blended in it matches my medium olive skin perfectly. This is not comparable to a cc cream. It is truly just a tinted moisturizer. I wouldn't say it has coverage necessarily, but it does even out my complexion and gives my face a healthy glow. I love the thicker texture of the cream. You really have to work it onto your face for a few seconds to release the tint and spread it evenly. A little goes a long way. I only use a pea sized amount and it covers my entire face. This is favorite moisturizer now for the day time hands down. If my beloved Vitazing is gone for good, then this is has replaced it as it is essentially the exact same thing. I do prefer the fruitier scent of Vitazing, but the higher sun protection is a fair trade off.

Anyways back to the Ginseng Moisturizer, I purchased this moisturizer with my own money. Not Sponsored! The real reason why I purchased this moisturizer is because I enjoyed using the Origins Ginseng Eye Cream, It depuffed my eyes, smooth them out like concrete. Not even a single line left behind. It felt very cooling under my eyes, Didn't have any breakouts or irritations. What I do is wash my face with 2 different cleansers in the morning. Apply a Toner which haven't found that go to toner yet? Apply a Vitamin C, I did however have some positive results while using this Vitamin C Serum. I got a sample of it from Sephora, It's called Farmacy Cherry Vitamin C Serum. I seen alot of reviews on Sephora's website for this particular Vitamin C, Alot of people experienced breakouts but I didn't experience those problems. I got a sample of it and lasted me around a month. I'm wondering why I didn't have any reactions of breakouts was because I didn't apply alot of serum on my face. I do have oily, combination skin, I would dab my finger into the sample and dot the serum on different parts of my face like, 1 dot on my chin, both cheeks, both temple's, middle forehead, and the left and right side of my forehead, nose, and cupid's bow. Then I would go in and rub the serum into my skin and press the serum into my skin with my fingers. That was a trick I learned on YouTube and as well as a article I read online when applying skincare products. After application, It did have a sticky texture on the skin, but goes away shortly after. "See," This is how I get side tracked. I start writing about one product and ends up jumping into other products as well. "So we were talking about the Ginseng Moisturizer, I had such amazing results using that eye cream. I wanted the same exact results in the ginseng moisturizer. The moisturizer is a water-base gel moisturizer, So great for oily skin, combination skin, But not sure about dry skin. I actually have dry skin in the cracks of my nose and I always exfoliate and use a toner and still end up having that particular area dry and crusty. If I don't moisturize in those area by my nose, Foudation looks horrible. So it might work for dry skin as well! I would just say, Get a sample from Sephora and try it out first. Sephora gives out free samples, As many as you want. The moisturizer will not feel or look non-greasy, It also smells really nice. I would compare the scent to an orange, It left my skin hydrated and gave me a nice healthy, natural inner glow to the skin. Didn't have any side effects, The jar will last you a long time. You only need tiny dots on each area of your skin, Just like I mentioned in the above paragraph talking about the Vitamin C serum. I still have some of the eye cream that I bought 2 years ago, but I haven't really got into applying it every single day. I only apply the eye cream if I think I will be leaving the house. I should just apply it every single day anyways, It's beneficial to have a eye cream in your routine. I do believe that this moisturizer is $34.00 with 1.7oz.. I purchased mine at Sephora, but I also believe you can find it at Ulta Beauty as well. Ulta Beauty has more better sale deals and coupons then Sephora.

I got a sample of the original formula a few years ago and was OBSESSED!! To this day I share that it's the best moisturizer ever. I finally had some extra cash to splurge on myself and I bought the 1.7oz jar of this product and was SO excited. I even saved the old jar to make sure I ordered the same exact product. When it arrived I noticed a difference on the label, and the new one said "oil-free". I figured it must be better for my skin if the formula changed, or if the formula was the same and it was already oil free, they added it to the label for marketing purposes. I eagerly put it on, as the directions instructed: only on top of serum if it's dry (I didn't wear serum), and pat (not rub) a small amount. This was good. The only thing was this stung my face whenever I used it so I never bought & used it again after that. I prefer other cleansers & scrubs to the Origins GinZing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser. It's a shame as I restrict myself to buying only natural/organic skincare products due to the fact that chemicals aren't good for everyone & anyone, I don't like chemicals, & my face breaks out whenever I use skincare & makeup products that have chemicals in it; I also buy cruelty-free products as I don't like animal testing & companies who aren't certified cruelty-free & lie about their animal testing, but I've had to make an exception for this brand even though they test on animals since it's natural/organic & mostly vegan & works well on my face while giving me a ... MoreThis was good. Please Please Bring Back Oil Free/Old Formula

I have used this lotion for years and loved it. Until Origins changed the formula. The new version balls and flakes off my face when I apply or rub it.It is heavier than the old oil free formula and I do not like it.I see from the reviews I am not alone.Please let me know if you decide to listen to these reviews and go back to the original version.

Would not buy again

I wanted to love this product sooo much, in fact I bough two jars of it in one go! I was so excited since I love the origins Weil Mega Mushroom line and have pretty much all the face masks.. BUT unfortunately It did not work for my skin. It was not moisturizing enough and left my skin dry and tight (and i don't even have dry skin). It also irritated the skin around my nose and mouth, causing me to breakout with tiny red bumps... I thought maybe my skin just needed to adjust to the new product, but i have used it for two months now and nothing has changed. It is also impossible to apply makeup on-top of this moisturizer because it just pills off and makes your makeup patchy. In fact, even without makeup it pills off/crumbles.
