I have had great protection with OtterBox products before, butI'm sorry to have to report that I dropped my Pixel 5a phone, screen-down, and my OtterBox case didn't protect it. Part of the screen cracked into a hundred little lines. Repairing the phone would be over US$300.Thankfully, the screen still interacts. I'll continue using the phone until I want an upgrade.

I love my defender. It is easy to put on, not bulky. easy to grip and doesn't feel like its going to slip out of your hand. However, when it does fall, as mine has and always does, the case takes the impact not your phone.I always tell my patients that "they don't need a helmet if they don't have a brain to protect". My cellphone is my "peripheral Brain" and I would be lost without it. Only once did I use a product other than Otter box and ended up breaking my phone:-(. It was a hard lesson, but I learned it.Otter Box is more expensive than others but well worth the investment, a fraction of the total cost of your phone.You need to get an Otter box defender. I Highly recommend it!!

Got this case because my phone is getting a bit older, and my commuter case was wearing out quickly, thought I'd get it on a deal. Case is nice and sturdy, a bit of a pain to disassemble. But I don't really take my phone out of their cases a lot so no big deal.My only issue is the plastic inner case instantly started to pull up the factory installed screen protector, I never ever had an issue until I got this case, just be aware of that, and I know those screen protectors are a pain to get back on or put a new one on.
I'm always getting my hands dirty. Love the case. Very slim and protective. I been with otterbox for 10 years. Great brand. I love the holster because I can use it as a kickstand and watch the world cup anywhere I go.
After my father dropped his from the roof 2 times, with no damage to the phone, I figured defender would work for me as well. I like the clip, as I don't have a pop socket on this one to hook it on my pants, it would be nice if the belt clip was removable for when i actually have a big enough pocket to stick the whole thing in. It has a nice lip on the top and bottom and is not as slick a back as the commuter case. I like that it is more grippy.The screen protector though is annoying, it is ia a hair too high (yes its the otter box brand and I used the cool installer kit that came with it... but my dad and I both have bubbles at the top and looks like it would be perfect, but I wasn't willing to risk fingerprints or royally messing up the whole thing. I genuinely love this case. No better protection available without a disruptive face covering in the market. Of course I do have a case friendly 9H tempered glass installed from a different manufacturer, I wish it came with one specifically designed to fit this case. I had to order two different kinds before finding one that works with the Defender case. Unfortunately I am not convinced with the one I have either. All in all it is well worth the trouble for the peace of mind of knowing that I can depend on this case to protect my very expensive S10 from anything that I can put it through. I'll be selling it together with the trusty old S5 and I'm pretty confident that'll be a key selling point when I hear that wonderful and unmistakable "chiching!" on my phone when it sells on eBay. Until the next 6yr mark, I'll be giving similar feedback with my S15 & the next generation of Otterbox cases.
I purchased this Defender product about a month ago. I had already purchased a tempered glass protector and installed it. Once I had placed the S10 into the case, the tempered glass broke within a day. I removed the glass and purchased another thinking the glass was defective but the exact thing happened again. I ended up purchasing the Unicorn Beetle case and the glass has never broken once. I am extremely happy with the new purchase and quite disappointed with Otterbox. I have always been a strong supporter of Otterbox products for many years and now I have a Defender case that is unusable.

My phones have never been broken while in one of these cases, and when falling this thing has bounced before and is just fine. I have the "BIG SUR BLUE" and it is prettier than I imagined in person! It is a teal blue rubber and white plastic combo. I love it. No complaints. This is the SCREEN-LESS version because of the curved edges of the phone screen. (I liked older versions with the built in screen protectors, but if you are careful and don't take the factory screen protector off, you can actually put it in the Otterbox with that still on and not see it! BOOM! I just ordered a second Otterbox for my S10 after 12 months of use, because I pull mine in and out the clip so much I chipped the little plastic piece where the clip on the holster pops over (this has never happened before, but I am rough on my stuff and constantly taking it in and out the holster and probably not pulling on the tab as much as I should and so that probably wouldn't have happened... it was still holding my phone just fine, but I didn't want to take any chances since I still have 12 months to pay on this phone and LOVE my S10, so just wanted to protect it!) The screen protector on my phone for the 1st 12 months was still completely intact. So don't need to waste money on buying one if you can TRY what I suggested! It was difficult for me to take the case apart to even get my phone inside, ha, that is how strong those tabs are, they were going to take off my fingernail before I could harm the Otterbox. I got my phone in and it is beautiful. If you need the best protection, I suggest the Defender Series 100%. Rather a protected phone than a broken anything on my phone.
Bought this case by impluse as first suggestion made by JB HiFi web engine when purchasing the S10.Wouldn't buy it again. I was high on dopamine from getting such an expensive phone.Pros: rugged, protective, effective. I like the looks. The case provides good grip and a leg to let the phone sit by itself.Cons: take it out of the cradle and anything can happen to the screen of your S10. When wearing on my belt, people keep asking me what am I doing with a beeper/pager in 2019.Also, my screen is already scratched. So although this product has prevented cracked screens, it doesn't not provide anti scratch protection.
