Ovaltine always takes me back to when I was a young girl, sleeping over at my nan's house. Such fond memories. But I can't say I'm a huge fan of the product. I find it leaves a weird texture in my mouth, like a powdery feeling. The flavours are ok, but not as comforting as other hot chocolate/malt drink brands.

When chocolate becomes "boring" to my great-grandkids, it's time to whip out the Ovaltine. The malt flavor is a welcome change from chocolate and keeps their interest. The pricing for Ovaltine seems to be in line with everything else these days; while I keep it on hand, I don't keep as "deep" a back-up supply.

The original Ovaltine Malt drink perfect last drink of the day. I can not really describe the taste of this Malted drink but I would say it is one of those acquired taste`s like marmite you either love it or you hate it. This drink is most definitely best made with milk because not only does it make it creamy but it makes the drink taste so much better. I love with milk before bed but hate it with water and think it tastes horrid. If you struggle to sleep this is the perfect pre bedtime drink to help you drift off

I have to have this in my house at all times. It is such a staple. Always has been. Everyone in my family has this, and usually the little Ovaltine crackers too. And I use it both on it own and sometimes in my coffee if I want a little extra sweetness. One of my all time favourite drinks. It is a staple in most West Indian house holds and I have been getting my husband into it as well and will be passing the tradition down to our future children as well. All you need is some hot milk and you're good to go, and can add a little sugar if you prefer it that way too.

But the ovalteenies is like a hard compacted version of the malt but in a little Circular goodness. My mum and my dad used to put these in my lunchbox for school there is no artificial colours no preservatives it tastes amazing. It's description Fun and delicious and I agree.
