I bought it to fix the frozen freezer needing to unfroze it with hot water. It was fine first. job. It is now ready for cooking/basting the turkey in future.

Baster bulb that comes apart for better cleaning

I needed to replace that baster I had since 1980's. This one had a narrow brush for cleaning the tube and the bulb looked like it would be firm and pickup liquid well. I washed it and then tried it out. It works great, picks up more than my old baster did, and the I love the fact that the bulb comes apart so that you can clean the inside better. Definitely recommend!

Brilliant Baster

Brilliant baster - shame about the packaging. The baster was attached to to a cardboard sheet by thin twisted metal wire. The wire was a nightmare to undo. However both the baster and brush look to be very well made.

Gotta have one for the holidays

You can take the whole thing apart for cleaning. Does what it’s intended. Sucks enough juice to bathe your turkey or ham or whatever you wanna do with it. Comes with a nice cleaning brush which I’ll probably misplace.

Great quality from OXO

Excellent product, used it for the first time to roast a chicken and it has excellent suction and doesn’t leak or dribble all over the place. The brush is perfect and makes cleaning a breeze. I would not buy one without the included brush now that I experienced how helpful it is to have.

High Quality Baster

I'm tired of throwing out the cheap/dollar store basters. This one is high quality and has good suction. I'm glad I bought a good one for a change.

Not worth your time or the space.

This thing is garbage. Don't waste your time. Buy something better! It worked fine the first two times I used it. The issue is that we didn't take it apart to clean it the first time. Once we did it was over. It never quite went together correctly again and made it basically impossible to use. It's really too bad, because the blaster is not made from bad materials and had good suction. It just won't stay together long enough to work.

Super Baster! Just learn how to hold/use it as intended!

Needed a large baster to basically to measure out and deliver liquid into bottles. I read that some people had issues with the suction on this model. I firmly believe they were *not* using it properly, that is you need hold it and operate it like a syringe and not a regular round baster where you squeeze the entire bulb. Just push down with your thumb and it works super! Also, cleaning was super simple. Just remember that you only take off the top rubber bulb as the plastic fairing below it is attached to the tube. Perfect design in my opinion.

Surpasses my needs

This bulb baster is perfect. Measurements along the side aid in cooking. It has a good, strong suction. Plus, the provided cleaning brush really works. I have even used it for other narrow, hard to reach areas in other kitchen gadgets. Also, the bulb baster is dishwasher safe.

OXO Good Grips Poultry Baster with Cleaning Brush is going to be perfect during my Thanksgiving's cook-a-thons! I probably make about 6 turkeys a year. First of all, I really liked the stand for preventing drips and rolling. The angled shape of the baster makes it much more efficient for directing the basting juices where I want them. I like the sturdy, clear plastic that the tube is made out of and the easy-to-read measurement markings. It’s pricey for turkey baster but it is well worth the price.
