Bought the product and black liquid starting coming out of it after first wash. Description on this webpage says dishwasher safe. The package on the other hand, clearly states that it does not go in the dishwasher. We now need to throw it out as the black liquid/powder is getting on everything. (Hands/dishes/utensils etc.) this webpage needs to be updated in case people buy it online and forget to check the packaging info before throwing it out. I will not be buying this product again. Currently looking for a dishwasher safe option.

Very nice kitchen tool however the ad leads one to believe that it is dishwasher safe however upon buying it quickly realized it indeed is not dishwasher safe after reading the product labelling.

After my wife washed it, it seemed like it had some kind of black liquid / grease leaking whenever it was used, and ruined one piece of meat. We didn't see this grease on anything else. Maybe there was special washing instructions that we missed on the label? Ended up tossing it.
Love it. Does a great job. Well balanced.
