Either it's been way too long since my last garlic press purchase, or OXO is genius. I'm going to go with, their genius! I like to read reviews before purchasing, same goes for the person reading this I'd assume! A few were concerned about the weight of this garlic press, but this was no issue for me. It didn't seem any heavier then the one I was using before this. There is plenty of room for those larger garlic cloves and even with my carpal tunnel hands, the press was easy to squeeze. The part that I absolutely LOVE is that the handle flips over, to reverse into the backside of the press to push out any excess garlic. Game. Changing! Easy to clean, easy to use.

I had the opportunity to utiliae the Oxo Good Grips Garlic Press on multiple occassions. As a homemaker and avid cook, I am always searching for time-savers in the kitchen. We utilize a ton of garlic in our meals and so I was thrilled to learn that Oxo made a press, as the brand is one of my favorites. This garlic press looks and feels high quality. The rubber handle grip is padded and comfortable to utilize, while feeling great in the hands. Simply peel your garlic, place in the press and apply pressure. I've owned many kitchen utensils devoted to the cutting and chopping of garlic over the years. Some have been OK and others have been awful but this garlic press finally is the one to replace them all. It is ergonomically and fits well in the hand. It is comfortable to use even after 10 minutes of using it; I didn't feel like my hand would cramp up. It is also all one piece that does not come apart. I absolutely love this feature as I don't have to fish around the drawer looking for pieces to it. Most importantly, it's super easy to clean. Designed so that it can be efficiently rinsed and simply tossed in the dishwasher. I'd recommend buying this to replace anything you currently own. It has definitely made me a better cook.

This garlic press has a nice weight to it and is sturdier than it first appeared. I have used a garlic press before but did not like that I could not press enough at a time. I like that this press has a larger compartment to hold a good amount of garlic.I was able to press enough for my sofrito only having to pack it twice. When it was packed full, I was not able to get enough force to use it with only one hand but with two it pressed smoothly.It isn't too bad to clean out. I did have to dig some leftover garlic out of the compartment but most of it washed easy enough by just running water over it. I love using this when pre packaged minced ... I love garlic. We add garlic to almost everything we cook. I normally buy garlic that’s already minced but I was missing that fresh garlic taste. With this garlic press I mince fresh garlic and love that I don’t have to use a knife. I really liked that it has a grip handle so it’s a little more comfortable on your hands when pressing the garlic. The way the press is flexible and opens up completely to stuff your garlic makes it easier to work with. I will say a downfall for me is after you’ve pressed garlic through I still see some garlic stuck in the compartment. So I have to go in there and pick it out. Other than that, it works well and does what it needs to.

I use garlic a lot in cooking and I was excited to try this one. It’s OK, but not great. I used it to mince garlic for my morning avocado, egg white, tomato breakfast bowl.I tried it with both hands and I could still mince the garlic with my non dominant hand which could be important for users with arthritis or other mobility issues.Pros: easy to unpack (snip three little ties and no extra plastic), good grip (no pun intended), one handed operation (didn’t need two hands to work it), washed easily, matches with my other OXOs so my tools drawer stays neat in appearance. It’s relatively compact.Cons: not the easiest to clean but not bad enough not to use it or to give it away
My household is a garlic loving household so garlic presses get put to work! I’ve actually broken 2 in the last couple of years from using them so much, so I’ve been searching around for an extremely sturdy one. I really like the big grips on this garlic press - it doesn’t hurt my hand to be doing a few squeeze sessions in a row. The large “basket” for the cloves makes the remnants easy to clean. And you get a nice quantity of minced garlic that comes out! I’ve used presses before where too much of the clove gets squished instead of pushed through the grate.
I really like this garlic press by OXO. I really dislike the garlic smell that is left on my fingers after chopping garlic, but with this garlic press, that problem is solved. Some of my favorite attributes about this garlic press is how big, chunky,and heavy it is. Another thing I really like is that I can actually fit more than one garlic clove at the same time. The opening of the press is big enough to even fit two fairly large garlic cloves. As far as cleaning the press goes I love that it's dishwasher safe, and I can just pop it in my dishwasher and forget about it. Well made garlic press that has some good weight to it, and that surely lives up to the great quality I have come to expect from OXO products.
I love having this garlic press. I have always disliked chopping garlic because I could never chop the pieces as small as my husband likes it. Now that I have this garlic press I don't have to worry about that. This does a good job of getting small pieces of garlic. There are still some pieces that are longer than I like. It is so easy to use. The handles are rubber, so it is easy to grip and comfortable on my hands. Squeezing the handles does require some strength though. It only leaves behind a thin layer of skin in the basket. The basket swivels, making it easy to dumb out and clean.
