I have two of these fresh spice preservers now, and will soon purchase a larger version for vegetables. I'm using the Oxo Greensaver for mainly woody stem herbs, but not all herbs are. These preservers have extended the fresh shelf life of my herbs amazingly. I occasionally dump the "old" water (about 1" high) and replace it with fresh water.

I almost always have fresh cilantro and parsley on hand - and almost always loose some to wilting until now!The Herb Keeper works well to keep the greens hydrated but DRY, so they don't wilt or melt away into a green slime. It keeps them useable for a long time. Important to follow the guideline and not wash the greens until needed and take a bit off the stem ends to increase uptake of moisture. Great product for plentiful herb storage.

I have tried a few methods to keep our cilantro fresh in the fridge. This herb keeper has been the easiest and most reliable solution I have found. Now I can buy 2 bundles and use just what we need without fear of it going bad before I use it all up. Perfect for our family.

Something the vendor said made me wonder if I could repurpose the herb saver to save the tender microgreens. Huge success- they kept for almost 2 weeks. Here's the trick. Fold a paper towel and put in the bottom where you would normally put water. Loosely fill the cage with your greens. Don't overpack. Before putting lid on fold another paper towel and lay it over the basket. Put the lid on and stick in the frig.When I want some microgreens or a smoothie or a salad or just to nibble I just take the lid off and pull out ... This is amazing. Holds more herbs than it looks like it does and keeps them fresh for so long! When I think of how many fresh herbs I’ve thrown away over the years, b/c of improper storage. I sure wish I knew about this a long time ago.
I was expecting for my herbs last longer or atkeasr 7days. That was not the case. My lettuce was spoiled by 5 days. Therefore, I do not recommend this product or it's price.
So I bought this item on a whim, but I was sceptical because I'm so used to so many cheap gimmicks that don't really work. I was unbelievably surprised as to how well this container lives up to its name. I put coriander in the container and even three weeks later I still had coriander that was able to be used in salads and cooking. Usually after 1 week it is wilted and mushy. I highly recommend this product
I want to start by saying that these containers work like a 10 star product and if you have a giant fridge with tons of storage space in it, these are the fresh herb storage containers of your dreams! I put some parsley in one and forgot about it for maybe a week and when I took it out last night it was still fresh, crispy and green. Amazing! However, the size, I got small, are rather large and bulky. I had to put it on the bottom shelf of my fridge door (fit perfectly). It's too tall for some places because it has to stand up and the container is too large for just a small amount of herbs. If there was a smaller thinner version that would be a great addition to this line of containers. If you have a big fridge with a lot of storage space the product is a 10 ⭐️ out ... I normally love OXO products but this one is not clear in terms of us. No instructions included. I have a larger one that I got via Williams and Sonoma that uses water within it and came with clear instructions, but I wanted a somewhat smaller one also. Please tell me how to use this one.
