Value for $$. Read the reviews before purchase and noticed that people with some knowledge had no great difficulties. Took a half hour to assemble, went together fine, all measurements, guides etc needed adjustment, and had enough to do so. Pressed metal table is cheap and so was the tool. Operates and functions better than my previous saw, that I have owned for 28 years, and was super expensive in 1994.Features like spare blade holder, power cord holder, push stick holder are handy.Recommend that if you lack the knowledge or ability to work with sharp moving things you should not buy a power saw for your own safety.

I bought this a couple weeks ago. Haven't needed to do precision cuts till today. My first larger project piece that I have spent hours on. I was lucky enough to get a couple of nice pieces of hardwood to make the legs out of.I measured 43 thousand times... I don't want to screw up this cut, I don't have another piece of hardwood to use.So I set the fence to 35mm. With the safety guard on I couldn't see the cut until it was too late. Turns out the measurements are 3mm off.Everyone PLEASE CHECK YOUR MEASUREMENTS!!! This has almost ruined my first high quality piece.

Great budget saving power tool!!

After reading all these mixed reviews, I then read reviews for similar table saws in the next price range of around $400-$500. These also had mixed reviews, so I decided what the heck I might as well buy a less expensive saw with poor reviews, rather than an expensive tool with poor reviews. In this case it was the right decision, as I was pleasantly surprised how good this saw was once I set it up and tested it out today…especially considering the budget price. With regards to the bevel angle adjustment, like others that have reviewed this product, I found that it didn’t truely set the blade at 90 degrees. But it is a simple adjustment/calibration to fix that problem. I simply placed a square against the blade and got it to 90 degrees exactly. Then it was just a matter of loosening a screw on the pointer on the bevel gauge and turning it from pointing at 88.5 degrees to 90 degrees. Problem solved and now adjusts to exactly 90 degrees each and every time (plus all the other incremental degree measures now are accurate also).I too found that the table extensions were slightly uneven with the main work deck once assembled in accordance with the assembly instructions. Again it was a very simple fix. I got a straight edge (spirit level) and placed it across the main deck and the extension table. Then simply loosened the nut on the extension table support arm and brought the extension table up a couple of mm to be perfectly level with the main deck, and tightened it in place. Repeat for the other 2 extensions if needed. Problem solved. In fact I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy the extensions were.I had no problem with the rip fence being straight and square, and locking it in without any movement or play. Again, unlike others reviewing this product, I found it sturdy and reliable during test cuts. But unfortunately the mitre gauge was a little sloppy but didn’t pose any real problem if held firmly during use.I see one review had an issue with the knife not lining up directly with the saw blade, and was out of alignment by 2mm. I would suggest that was an error in assembly of the knife, as initially I read the instructions as placing the knife between the mounting plate and the hex nut. But in fact it should go between the main unit and the mounting plate, and then tighten the hex nut up against the mounting plate. Otherwise it will be off centre by the width of the mounting plate (about 2mm). No issue. So, if you take your time assembling it properly, and make those few adjustments as I stated above, you will find that this product is great value for money, sturdy (except for mitre guide), and certainly do a great job.

I've felt compelled to write this after reading the bad reviews written by novices who expect things to work perfectly out of the box. (and blame the tool, and not the operator). In a way, Ozito have brought this upon themselves, as they supply no documentation, or YouTube tutorials, or even mentioned that machinery like this needs to be fine tuned prior to use (or even how to do it). There is absolutely nothing wrong with this saw, and it will cut straight and true so long as you tune your rig prior to use, and on a regular basis.[Squaring the fence] I won't confuse you with X and Y axis, so I will use the term North South East and West. To get the North and South aspect of the fence square, slide the fence to the blade, and lock it, if it isn't plum, undo the two hex screws as seen in the pic, get it aligned, the tighten the hex screws again. They are very tight, so grip it with some pliars.Squaring East and west is simple, lock the fence, check it with a square, then firmly bend it in the direction it needs to go. (There aren't any adjusters, this is the only way). Don't go crazy, just firmly and gently, check it, and continue if needed.[Inaccuracy in the fence ruler] Get something of a known width (my ruler is 25mm) and put it against the blade, slide the fence until it touches it, and lock it. If it reads 23mm, undo the screw in of the line marker, slide it to the correct measure, and tighten it[Setting the bevel] Undo the red locking nut, then rotate the knob until the blade is in alignment with your 45° square, then retighten the red locking nut. Check the pointer, if it is out, undo the Phillips screw, point it to the correct Mark, then tighten the screw again. To be honest, I rarely use those markers anyway, I prefer to use a bevel square for odd angles, or a mitre square for 45° because that way I know it will be perfectThis is a great machine for $200 but if you plan to do cabinetry, or super high precision work, I definitely recommend you consider a more established brand, but for a DIY'er or someone who wants to enter the hobby of woodworking, but you aren't sure if it is for you, this is a great starting point, or If you like me, and aren't rolling in money, this is the saw for you. (and it is very powerful).

For the price, you can't go wrong, but set aside 3 to 4 hours to assemble it. I kid you not, I've never seen so many nuts, bolts and screws in my life. I thought it was to build the new World Trade Center for a minute. Attaching the legs to the main unit was the most difficult and frustrating thing I've had to do this year, you'll understand exactly what I mean if you buy one.The main body is injection molded plastic, and the holes of the legs don't squarely could align. One bolt was so difficult, I was there for 30 minutes and ended up having to walk away to compose myself. I was about to loose my cool, and throw it across the room.Having said that, It's disappointing to see negative reviews for this saw, because Ozito opens up woodworking to people who would not normally be able to afford to get into the hobby.Sure, it's not the perfect table saw, but for $200 it's awesome value.I build and sell items made from wood pallets, so it is great to be able to rip timber into smaller widths for various parts of my projects. It's like having a mini saw mill at your fingertips.I found that the safety guard on the blade affected the accuracy when ripping smaller widths, it jammed the wood into the fence, so I removed it. It was counterintuitive, and was more of a danger, than a safety feature. The measurement fence ruler at the front that displays the size the timber will be when it is cut is unaccurate, but once you get used to the saw, you learn how many millimeters it is out, and add the difference to get the exact width you want. I'm a printer by trade, and even high-end German made guillotines have their own personality, so to speak, and you learn it's quirkyness, and how many millimeters you need to take into account in order to cut the sizes that you need.I've cut 30mm thick slab timber, and it cut through it like a hot knife through butter. It's very powerful. In short, it's not perfect, but if you are on a budget, it's a great saw. You can't go wrong for the price.

Not usable.

Normally I'm a pretty big fan of ozito products. Especially their 18v line; they offer great value for money and pretty robust performance. Not this tool. Out of the box, every possible thing was misaligned. Some of these things can be manually adjusted, like the end stops that prevent the blade from being perpendicular to the table. Some, however, cannot, like the fact that the table is nowhere near flat. In some places it is concave by about 4-5mm, and other place it is convex. You will never get an accurate cut with this saw unless you replace the entire table. The fence is also not square, vertically OR horizontally, and cannot be adjusted.I get that this is dirt cheap, but honestly it's just money wasted if the tool is not fit for its most basic purpose.

Ozito 2000W 254mm Table Saw
22 December 2021

Today near Christmas time, I bought a Table saw at Bunning. After took big box home and opened, firstly I can saw clearly that "Safety Guard" by PLASTIC where fits to frame is broken (2 small screw). It is impossible "safety guard" by plastic. Following day We bring back Bunning Villawood. Staff in tool section changed to other new one ...We open all 3 new boxes... all Plastic safety guard broken too!! Thought it is cheap but buy this product is very dangerous. Many Ozito products I bought (because reasonable). This time is not! I think guard should be change by Aluminum 1.5mm thickness

I love Ozito but this is the first product that really made me regret sticking with them. Don't get me wrong, I will always go Ozito for new tools I want to try out but this one was a let down.1) The legs are wobbly despite the 'bracing' arms, which is a safety issue at its core.2) The riving knife on mine is off-set from the blade by just under an inch (can't even adjust that apparently) so it acts more like a stop. Also a safety issue.3) The table top is flimsy - I had to add extra wood bracing underneath just to keep it from bending under minor pressure.4) The mitre guide sucks, plain and simple. It doesn't handle any pressure at all before slipping out of the angle you want.5) Rip fence... no. Make one or buy a different one. wasn't expecting much for $199 but a good starting point if you are going to build a table saw from scratch.
2 February 2022

wasn't expecting much for $199 but its better than build one from scratch. first one came out of the box with the table all bent like some had sat on the corner. sent that one back got a second one that one was built on a monday or friday, stripped bolts, the one on the bottom of the riser thread fell out when turning the table over didn't even touch it during install and one of the blade cover surround took 20mins to get it out was going to drill it out. the second one should of gone back as well but need the saw. fence isn't long enough and only clams one end. I will rebuild a new top and fence and slides. all table saws are scary please take care, fingers never work as good on second install.
