I already have 4 or 5 Ozito workshop & garden tools along with a couple of batteries & now this lawn edger is a very welcome addition. Mowing the lawn isn't a problem but now I find using a line trimmer to tidy the edges, results in aches & pains for me. Tried using a spade but same results to my body! When I searched the internet for a solution, I found this lawn edger to add to my Ozito collection. My lawn & garden borders are now looking great & with so little effort! With this first time use on overgrown edges & the challenge of Kikuyu grass, it seemed a little greedy on battery use. However it is quick charging & of course with a spare battery, this wasn't really a problem. Regular use in future should be a breeze.

the blades are not good.I purchased this because I already have Ozito batteries for my lawn mower and drill which are both awesome. but this line trimmer is rubbish.I should have known not to buy a trimmer with these blades instead of cord, none of the high end trimmers use blades and for good reason! concrete will shred the blades when edging your lawn. I intended to buy the 2x18voldt trimmer but when i got into store it was heavy and unbalanced so i purchased this cheaper one. BIG mistake!

I have other Ozito PXC products which started by purchasing a blower to clean the yard. This lead to buying other products which used the PXC battery system. Hence the purchase of the 36V line trimmer.Easy assembly, easy to use and more than capable for a home yard. Was impressed by ease of usage and it did the job. As with other reviews the factory supplied trimmer line is way to soft and disappears rapidly but can be respooled with bester quality line.Overall very impressed.

Bought this few months ago and it stopped working recently. As I didn’t have the receipt to solve this through warranty, i decided to open it and see what went wrong.It was a loose connection to the motor, which i could fix easily. It worked for a few days, and broke again. Im too lazy to fix this by myself again.The low power and plastic blades being weak are expected given the cheaper price.I’m giving one star, because the product kept breaking down only after few months of use.I lost my faith in battery powered outdoor tools because of this. I would go for a petrol powered equipment next time.

It should not be allowed to be sold as it it seriously under performs."The Ozito OGT-0185 Cordless Grass Trimmer Kit is NOT ideal for trimming lawn edges, garden paths and grass around trees and shrubs."I bought this to trim a small lawn (2m x 6m) of some light grass (not buffalo or kikuyu). The cutting ability is so poor that I had to go over the lawn 3 times to get it to a reasonable level. It can't do the edges as the blade is ineffective as it is knocked out of the way rather than cutting. I should have bought one of the >$200 other brand models. Oh well, I forgot the well known lessons of you get what you pay for and paying twice.
Poor design that breaks easily. I purchased one in August 2020 and have used it once per week. After the first year the shank where the plastic cutters attach started to wear causing the plastic cutters to fly off and break after around 10mins worth of work, chewed through 2-3 cutters everytime I used it. Longer grass gets wrapped around the engine shaft causing the engine to labour and burn out very quickly. In 2nd year developed an uncomfortable vibration that made it unusable. The plastic guard also broke off at the same time.
I purchased this based on reviews and was not disappointed. Unlike the cheap models, this trimmer works flawlessly. The line doesn't become tangled or broken every 5 seconds, in fact I did my entire property without stopping except to bump it 2 or 3 times to extend more line. The bump head is very good quality and the instructions are clear [Do not bump on hard surfaces such as brick or concrete (grass only) and only use the tip of the line and not the side and go slowly, making multiple passes instead of forcing it.] It makes me wonder if people read the instructions.If you are gentle with the bump head, it may last longer than you think.The item comes with the shoulder strap and replacement spool with prewound line.Also this trimmer isn't the kind that you ... MoreI purchased this based on reviews and was not disappointed. You buy bulk line and replace it yourself. Something I was very happy to discover.Very powerful but it has a variable speed trigger and I found that using a low speed was just as efficient as cutting the grass at high speed (and prolongs the life of your line)It also has an adjustable handle that slides to where you need it and locks into place. The unit is quite light but I needed to stop briefly a few times to give my arm a rest, possibly due to holding it wrong. (I haven't trimmed my edges in some years, I have been poisoning them.)Unit cleans up nicely with a brush and the instructions recommend not to use on wet grass which will make the motor run harder and possibly clog up the parts, making cleaning harder.I recommend this to anyone.

I was a little concerned by the 1 star reviews and curious about the 5 star reviews. After buying it, and using it, everything made sense. It would have to be the best value for money whipper snipper you could buy. It is not designed for super heavy jobs working against concrete and rocks - for these you should buy a $600 commercial machine. When used properly in a moderate sized garden it was perfect. It was simple to use and very reliable. I normally spend the first 15 minutes of a job mixing petrol , setting up the line feed and trying to start the machine. This took 10 seconds to set up and the yard was finished in 15 minutes. The blades can wear out a little faster than cord and when they do you simple replace them with another 50 cent blade.
