Perfect, bought for an at home day bed restoration...forget the bad reviews..she a luttle beauty....yeah the vacuum c4qp doesnt work the best but i never expected it to.wear an N95.....battery time lasted almost 2 hrs on the 2 amp....great job....cant wait for tom9z..waz a bit scared cos of some bad reviews but after using it am so excited its wonderful..buy one..glad i got mine first

Nice little detail sander. Does what I need it to do. The price is great. Says in the book that you cannot attach the dust canister with a 3, 4 and 5.2 amp battery and that you can only use a shop vac with these batteries. I refuse to bow down. Rig up some pvc coupling and pipe and extend the dust port a bit. Should solve that problem. The sander will be a tad deeper but at least I don't have to log around the shop vac for small jobs

Brought this to sand DIY furniture pieces that are too small for the belt sander, but too big to spend hours hand sanding. Fills that gap perfectly. Plenty powerful enough, battery life on the 2Ah is long enough that I get sick of sanding before the battery dies. I also have the PXC Wet/Dry Vac which can plug straight into the dust extraction port with the included little adapter; the 4Ah battery on the vac will go well before the 2Ah in this sander does. Good product for the money, some have said replacement pads not available. I asked the attendant for extra pads and Flexovit ones fit perfectly. Hope this helps those that can't get them.
Briliant sander for the price but this is better for finishing job so I brought the orbiting sander as well for the tougher jobs. There are a few reviews about the dust. Because this sander tackles finer sadning the dust is finer and the dust catcher doesnt have much value. The dust is too fine to get caught so it goes everywhere and like my comment on the Orbiting Sander it is hard to hold onto as there in no real defined handle so you need to be careful when adjusting your grip it doesnt travel out the window or onto the floor.
I bought this to sand a window sill before staining and varnishing. It reaches nooks and crannies that my orbital sander cannot reach. It has plenty of "oomph" and did the job as well as a corded unit, as far as I could tell. The dust trap is a little flimsy but adequate at the price. Be aware that you will need to remove the dust trap (and use the supplied dust extractor adaptor - no collection bag supplied) to use batteries bigger than 2.5Ah (my 4Ah battery does not fit unless the dust trap is removed). Battery life is good. All in all, great value if you have the batteries and charger to hand.
Can't find the sanding pads to fit it so I'll be looking for a refund as without the correct sanding pads to fit the hole pattern the dust can't get collected correctly.Should be made clear what battery configs work with or without the dust catcher. 2.5Ah battery is the largest which will work with the dust catcher.It will work with a vacuum cleaner and a larger battery I presume but the box didn't have the details.Otherwise it seemed to work well for the bit of sanding I did
Needed a sander to sand back a door that was sticking in the frame. Having used and been impressed with the Ozito range, selecting this sander was an easy choice given the price point and the interchangeable battery from my hedge trimmer. Being cordless as well was a huge advantage. Needless to say the unit worked better than expected and the job was completed quickly and easily.The only issue is if you have a larger capacity battery, the dust bag needs to be removed which means you will end up with dust blowing onto the floor (or the user). With the smaller battery (1.5 amp) this is not an issue.
After using it half a dozen times, found that the sandpaper kept falling off. Tried new sandpaper but it just kept falling off- the grip system on the sander stopped grabbing the paper. Returning the sander to Bunnings.
doesn't seem like there are replacement sanding pads for this anywhere. It'sa non standard size so no other brands fit it either. The pads that it comes with are 100 and 120 grit, so if you need any other grit (or more than 6 sheets total), don't buy this.
