Are you worries about buying this?

Let's just start by saying you shouldn't be worried about buying this stretcher. I recently deployed to the NSW floods and slept on one of these stretchers for 10 nights and bought one for myself as soon as I got back.I've previously had bad experiences with stretcher beds and so have never bought one. Usually they are a pain to set up with a bar at each end that you have to tension. The other thing I hate is the standard 'x' shaped leg stretchers have no lengthwise stability and everytime you roll over they wobble making you think they will collapse. This stretcher is strong, doesn't wobble when you roll over and literally takes 10 seconds to set up and pack away.I'm a big unit at 110kg and 180cm tall and this stretcher is comfortable and solid for me. I bought the lower stretcher as I wanted it to fit in a shorter tent. I previously used the XL version of the same stretcher and that is luxury at its finest. The lower stretcher is narrow and if you like to side sleep with your knees drawn up they will hit the side bars but even at my size I can still comfortably sleep. With the XL it is like a single bed at home, plenty of width and heaps of length. If you've never bought a stretcher bed before this is a great option, better than more expensive brands and worth the money.....buy it!Oh, and I used to work in outdoor retail but haven't for 10 years and so am an independent reviewer that has not been paid or received any kickbacks for my review. I just feel that good products should be rewarded with good reviews. I also never write reviews when buying online except for Snowys, because there was an issue with the first item I ever bought from them and they provided such great customer service with that first purchase I always buy from them and write reviews.

Got these as we’ve finally accepted that we’re not 20 anymore (or even 30 lol) and getting up to toddlers in the night camping is better from an actual bed. These are so incredibly comfy - especially as we put our exped mega mats on the top (the LXW ones) and they fit perfectly. Best nights sleep I’ve ever had camping. I grabbed a roll of non slip rug stuff from adairs, cut it in half and put that on the stretcher before putting the mat on. Fits in the mat bag, stops the mat moving on the stretcher and is an epic addition. Fits really well in a zempire pronto 4, as the tent walls are basically straight up.

I’m a Cubs leader and take this stretcher on every single camp I go on. I can’t tell you how important a goods night sleep is, especially when you’re responsible for lots or 8-12 year olds. This gives me a good nights sleep every night. For longer camps, like a 5 day Cuboree I add a small blow up mattress to increase the luxury factor. To save the tent floor I add a cheap as chips old yoga mat underneath (I’m close to 120kg so this is vital).Did I mention how easy it is to set up? When I’m helping put up multiple stretchers at once I always leave mine to last and each time I get this stretcher I breathe a sigh of relief that this stretcher will go up without any effort at all,

First time stretcher sleeper, very impressed
19 January 2021

Why was I sleeping in the floor when camping previously? This is the way to go! The best sleep in a long time when paired with my exped megamat lxw10. Utilising the stretcher had many benefits on my overnighter I just came back from. I picked up a 2nd hand 2.4 x 2.4 instant tent then went out, and was amazed how much better it is having the stretcher. Not only is it a great sleep, you swing your legs aside and get off of it just like a normal bed, you can store most of your essentials underneath the stretcher leaving plenty of room in the tent for whatever (in my case my dog and her bowls and walking room around each other). The quality seems great, it's nice and sturdy and I don't think it moved at all throughout the night. The storage compartments will come in handy and as for the netting, I put all of the empty bags for my gear on that one (stretcher, chair, sleeping bag and tent bag) I highly recommend using this, especially if you have a crook back.

Great stretcher
18 May 2022

I paired this with the oztrail 50mm foam mattress, but, to my surprise, the stretcher was quite comfortable without it. Mind you the mattress will help keep me warm during my winter camps!I switched to this stretcher after owning the Coleman big sky delux. Nothing wrong with that stretcher, however, transporting two of them in a mid sized SUV was a pain considering their awkward bulky dimensions when folded.Lastly, thanks to snowys for living up to their promise of fast delivery. Ordered on a Sunday night and it was delivered Wednesday morning to regional Victoria!

Low Rise Stretcher in RV5…Perfect
17 November 2021

Previously had the two pre-teens on a bunk bed stretcher. Assembly was a pain so switched to these. I have a standard height stretcher and just wasn’t sure whether we’d have the footprint in the RV5 but these two low rises snuck under the sides of my stretcher leaving ample space. Mum doesn’t camp so my stretcher and there two low rises were a perfect match. Easy to fold one or both away during the day if more tent space is needed. Small folded dimensions means easy storage in the Prado against the back seats. Blowing a gale on Stockton beach but we were really comfy in the Rv5 on the stretchers whilst others were chasing their tents down the beach in the middle of the night…. Buy big blue screws for beach camping if you want peace of mind in high wind

This is a very tough and sturdy stretcher. No wobbles at all, it's very stable. Throw a 100mm self inflating mat on top and you will have a comfortable bed, and I mean comfortable. At 210cm long, it's a long bed, so check to see if it fits your tent. You will be glad you chose this stretcher. Cannot fault.

Perfect for the infirm/injured - as long as they're someone else to carry it
6 October 2020

Just got my stretcher after 2 months of excited waiting (not Snowy's fault, they were out of stock), and phew, he is a hefty boi! I have a chronic disabling injury, which meant I wasn't confident purchasing any other stretcher/cot, because of that infamous "last bar", which apparently on new ones sometimes makes even able-bodied campers have to strain to click it into place. That being the case, the Easy Fold design seemed like just the one for me - I saw one video where the reviewer literally just sort of gave it a shake, threw it into the air and it sprung open like a pop-up tent, and I was stolen. I can say that it really *is* that simple to open - I wouldn't encourage the "shake 'n' throw" method of opening it up until you're pretty bloody practiced, hahahaha! ... MoreJust got my stretcher after 2 months of excited waiting (not Snowy's fault, they were out of stock), and phew, he is a hefty boi! I can say that it really *is* that simple to open - I wouldn't encourage the "shake 'n' throw" method of opening it up until you're pretty bloody practiced, hahahaha! X-D That said, that technology doesn't come light, and I had a Hell of a time getting it up the stairs and into my house so I could unbox it and try it out. So if you *are* ill or injured, especially if you're worse than me, I'd suggest either investing in a sack trolley or making sure you bring a staunch packmule I mean camping companion, to save you some definite sweat and possible pain. This thing is massive; I have a *huge* SIM from a European brand, that's even bigger than *any* of the single sizes in the other premium mats, including the Monsta- and the Mega- , so I needed a big, big single - but smaller than king single - stretcher to accommodate it. This one was the best fit without it being too much up on the rails, *or* having lots of wasted space at the edges, just pointlessly shrinking my tent. It's a great fit, as I had thought, and with the two together, I'm very comfy indeed. I'm not joking when I say that I started to doze off in the 10 minutes I spent trying it out (and that's without a pillow)! My stretcher arrived carefully packed - as Snowy's orders always do - and in great condition. After my test of it, it folded right back up like an "umbrella" chair (the trick is to close the legs and then fold it straight back in half; don't get stuck trying to "unlock" the middle leg, like I did for 15 minutes) and tucks neatly back into its bag. I think that's one of my favourite things about the OZtrail brand, that they usually supply storage cases that do accommodate their products again after use, as long as you pack them up mindfully. Honestly, I don't love the aesthetics, since most of my camp gear is selected to a specific colour scheme, but I plan to hide the thing under a valance anyway (yes, I'm *that* camper), so it wasn't a deal breaker. I haven't taken it out on its maiden voyage, yet, so we'll see how it holds up over a few days of usage in the wild. I'll update my review with my findings.I love it. I think it's a fantastic bit of kit, and inexplicably cheap for its value.

Solid & Comfortable
6 November 2022

As the name suggests, these are incredibly easy to set up and pack down. Not only that, they are incredibly sturdy, with no end to end movement or rocking throughout the night even with my 100+kg frame turning over on it. Extremely comfortable on their own, but take it up a level by adding a self inflating mattress and you'll be guaranteed the best night sleep you could possibly have. The extra storage pouches are very convenient for phones and books, and the hammock underneath is a great place to keep other things off the floor and out of the way for those late night trips to the toilet in the dark. I actually set this up as a spare bed for when my mother stayed with us, and even with her bad hip and knee replacement, she found it easy to get in/out of, and very ... MoreAs the name suggests, these are incredibly easy to set up and pack down. Super easy setup, very comfortable
6 December 2022

Bought two of these for the kids and they are great. Couldn't be easier to set up and pack-up - no bodybuilding required trying to stretch canvas or flex metal poles (some of these stretcher beds are so hard to set up that they are unusable). We bought a couple of foam mattresses for the top and the kids found them so comfortable they wanted to use them at home! The only downside is they are moderately big and not that light to transport. Suitable to throw in the back of a camper trailer - but if you are very short on car boot space you might need something more compact.
